    Upgrade to FSD before increase?

I do regret the fact that what was a 5k FSD package for my MR3 in Dec 2018 is now $13k. No, I do not regret the decision not to get it at that time, but just regret the price increase that Tesla is rubbing on early birds ;)

My Experience With EAP Suggests Not Only Won't FSD Go Up In Price, It's Going To Go Down

For the early buyers that helped Tesla where it reached now, the prices kept going up on and on though. What was a 6k FSD (not just EAP), is now almost 11k. And comparable vehicle price itself has come down too, owing to economies of scale. Without any sort of EAP/FSD, every new update that i...

Will Elon give Autopilot free for 2018 or early 2019 buyers

I hope but don't see any need for Tesla to invite more $$ as China sales are expected to be significant ... Maybe if they offer AP for a price, I'd perhaps bite the bullet :-)

Will Elon give Autopilot free for 2018 or early 2019 buyers

How different will it be from supercharging billing once they write the software effectively ..

Will Elon give Autopilot free for 2018 or early 2019 buyers

In general, I read from posts on this thread that things get cheaper as time progresses, and that early adopters will have to pay premium - and I totally agree/get it. However, limiting the discussion scope to just the price of EAP/FSD, I believe the price certainly went up .. it was like $5k...

Will Elon give Autopilot free for 2018 or early 2019 buyers

yea .. monthly or weekly .. but hopefully not too outrageous to discourage ... with all the wonderful long drive stories posted and how helpful FSD was, I think Tesla will have good revenue stream from this subscription service.

Will Elon give Autopilot free for 2018 or early 2019 buyers

How about providing FSD via subscription on demand for a fixed fee per day or something like that. This way, when ppl are going to travel long distance on occasion can subscribe for the (great) value-add service for the time they need it

Will Elon give Autopilot free for 2018 or early 2019 buyers

However much jacked up, a comparable SR+ costs $8k less than MR3 price in late 2018 or early 2019

Will Elon give Autopilot free for 2018 or early 2019 buyers

When I see some of my friends who are getting Model 3 late in 2019 (and now in 2020 too) that includes 'Free Autopilot', I kinda keep thinking/hoping that someday Elon will give that same functionality (Enables your car to steer, accelerate and brake automatically for other vehicles and...

    2019.40.50.5 installing now

I have a Midrange 3 (with no autopilot/fsd) and just installed this latest version, but i don't see any visualizations that are being shared by people ... is MR ignored or is it only for folks with Autopilot/fsd.

    2020 Price Drop? [Speculation]

Tesla never advertised themselves as cheap car company, nor promised 20k cars .. they said they'll introduce 35k and they did it (almost). If a new car buyer sees the value of EV, they'll buy them, given that the average new car price nationwide today is $38k ... so, it's (almost) average...

    2020 Price Drop? [Speculation]

I hope they'd reduce the FSD cost for those of us who bought vehicles in 2018 ... at that time, FSD was $5k before delivery and 6k after, but now it's $10k (3k + 7k) ... since they are giving basic autopilot for free with the newer models and still charge much less than what we paid in 2018...

Tesla trips website issue; no Midrange or SR+ available

I've tried couple times to plan a trip while I'm on my computer using tesla.com/trips but I never see a Midrange Model 3 option to pick from. Mine has 264 miles and closest in the list is a Model X Standard Range, but X is different from 3. Did you guys ever run into this problem? (I tried...

    Pictures of production Model 3s

M3s look soo naked with the plain glass all over. I wonder why Tesla didn't choose to tint at least the rear windows ! I got the Xpel XR+ and quite happy with the heat rejection. Just went on a 500 mile roadtrip roundtrip and most of the journey was in blazing afternoon and evening sun.

3M Crystalline vs PINNACLE vs Suntek CIR vs LLumar CTX vs Wincos Tint

I like the look of white seats too but Dallas summer is killing .. the front seats are still quite visible but the rear 20% tint makes it hard to see the seats. Got it done at Tint World in The Colony. 121 & FM 423.

3M Crystalline vs PINNACLE vs Suntek CIR vs LLumar CTX vs Wincos Tint

I don't see that blue/green cast in person, perhaps the cellphone cameras are picking that up ... They put 30% on the front and 20% on the back ... back is pretty black from outside but not limo black (5%). Kids are happy with no straight sun heat ...

3M Crystalline vs PINNACLE vs Suntek CIR vs LLumar CTX vs Wincos Tint

Ohh .. thanks for ur replies .. i went in thinking of getting the Suntek, but they said the Xpel XR+ (not XR) is actually $400 for 4 windows .. so ended up getting that instead of Suntek CIR .. It's blazing 100+ F here in Dallas today, but cabin feels much better with the tints.

3M Crystalline vs PINNACLE vs Suntek CIR vs LLumar CTX vs Wincos Tint

I'm looking at doing just the 4 windows .. the quotes I received are: 1) Suntek CIR : $280 2) Apollo Ceramic: $350 3) Llumar CTX : $300 4) Xpel XR Plus: $560 I'm debating between Suntek and Llumar .. specs are comparable, but Llumar has lifetime warranty and that's what the shop says ... what...

Taking my car to get PPF tonight, help me decide about tint ?

Did you also consider Xpel XR Plus but got Suntek ... the quote i got for Xpel XR Plus is twice the Suntek, and am wondering if it's ok to go with Suntek. I'm just planning for the 4 side windows .. front windshield quote is 300 and that's separate.

XPEL Prime XR Plus vs Prime XR vs Llumar stratos

I got a quote of xpel XR for the 4 windows and back glass for $500, is that much for XR? And $560 for 4 windows for xpel XR Plus. This one blocks out 66% of the solar heat and 97% of the IR heat He also gave SunTek quote .. it's $280 for the windows ... ceramic tint by Suntek, this film blocks...

3M Crystalline vs PINNACLE vs Suntek CIR vs LLumar CTX vs Wincos Tint

I don't expect the tint to make a car getting baked in hot sun after sitting in the parking lot .. but hopefully it helps to not feel that hand skin burn while driving west in the afternoons .. even with A/C set to 72F, I can feel the hands getting that pinch feel ...

Finally Figured Out Blind Spot Chime! (It's Quite Literal)

For a price of 50k (like Midrange), I think it's fair to expect that Adaptive Cruise Control will come standard, but alas Tesla bundled that feature into the basic Autopilot :-( .. I think even Honda Civic has it, but not my MR3.

Standard Range Model 3 Now Available for $35,000

Just to add my personal experience, I took delivery of Model 3 Midrange in Dec 2018. Per the MPVA, I paid $35,000 for Model 3 + $11000 for Midrange i.e. $46000 (didn't include other upgrades), but today when I configure the same vehicle, the costs is $40,000 .. So, essentially, I paid $6000...

    Confused about Autopilot discount

I know it sounds like the 2 posts from me are little contradictory but I missed on quoting the conditions. In general, the prices are coming down year over year for the actual car/hardware. Confused about Autopilot discount

You are probably not following Tesla closely for the past few years .. this is a company where prices keep falling, not go up :-) And rightfully so, as their costs to produce are coming down significantly year after year, and they are able to offer same/more for less price.

    Confused about Autopilot discount

I didn't buy EAP during ordering, but tried their 30 day trial .. After trial, I was offered the same EAP for $5500, I didn't take, and then I saw it jumped to $7000. Now, when I login into my account, after I saw the new rates published, this is what I see: Those 3 things you see under FSD...

    Confused about Autopilot discount

The basic autopilot really doesn't add lot of value, but FSD is what we almost got in the EAP trial version .. but if we want FSD now, then it's $11,000 as it automatically adds base autopilot as well. So, you are not at all at loss ... you paid $5k (or $7k after trial) for most FSD...
