    Big car....

Theres a 3 and an S that park in my station car park and the S overhangs and just about fits. But I would be concerned about parking next to it, cars either side will struggle to open their doors. The 3 looks fine.

    Jaguar I-pace problem

It's not that I wouldn't want them putting in their own funds, but I wouldn't want charging stations to be manufacturer based. Can you imagine having Tesla, Mercedes, Ford, etc. all having their own stations at service stations and around towns? Absolute mess of a situation.

    Polestar 2...

How did you feel about the interior room? When I sat in it, I felt quite snug. I wasn't uncomfortable (5ft9, 80kg), but I thought if I was a bit bigger it might be a bit too small. You could say there is a lack of accessories in my current car which is why it's quite open, but I wouldn't have...

Refund request submitted on Aug 2, 2019 still pending!

When I cancelled my order I had to ring and ask them after about a month. The "deposit refund was lost" was the excuse.

Volvo have done exactly that with the XC40, although I haven't compared that to the size of larger SUVs. I wouldn't be surprised if Volvo go and do the same to the rest of their car range.

    Jaguar I-Pace

Yes it is a demand problem, reflected in Tata's share price. You have to also remember that Jaguar hasn't got i-Pace as its only car. Tesla has 3 models. The impact of one of those being low in demand would be an issue for Tesla. The i-Pace demand is hardly an issue for Jaguar, the demand on...

Model X vs iPace vs e-Tron

Well according to all the comments on the website Jaguar should be producing an amazing vehicle because Tesla is. The comments just seem to be pro Tesla anti everyone else. Jaguar's range issue is both the car and software. The software cannot estimate accurately. My 2012 Mazda does exactly...

    Lightyear One

It looks a lot better than most over solar panel covered cars! But overall I do not like the design, obviously gone for efficiency, but it reminds me too much of a racing cyclists helmet

To be fair, you can say that about most technology products.

    Mercedes Debuts EQC Electric Crossover

The original post includes YTD data as well. However, at the end of the day, Tesla isn't the be all and end all. People have difference preferences for cars. I don't like the X or the 3. I like the S. I like the i-PACE. I like the IONIQ. I also like the upcoming Polestar 2. To say no-one can...

UK Model 3 order page open!

I honestly like what Hyundia have done and offered 3 variations; Hybrid, Plug in Hybrid and All Electric. It's the gradual change which is going to convert a lot of the "gas heads". I personally do not like hybrids, but I think at the moment they have their place.

UK Model 3 order page open!

Generally, you look at AP miles vs. all other car miles. AP wins. But the devil is in the detail. What are the age and experience of Tesla drivers? What price have they paid? I imagine if you compared like for like in terms of driver and car, then the results would be quite similar.

    Deposit refund waiting room

Yes as much as people say they are affordable, they are still very expensive. I have never bought new and was hoping Model3 was going to be my first new car purchase. Unfortunately the interior put me off. People forget about insurance as well. Quotes are coming in at £2k+ on the Facebook...

    Deposit refund waiting room

Indeed I cancelled a while back because I thought this might happen. It was always said the base price would be $35k. At the time, this would have been around £30k inc VAT. To be 1/3 higher is a bit of a sting. Also my deposit for forgotten about, after a month of not getting it back, I phoned...

Delay in getting model 3 deposit back?

How was this correspondence carried out? I had to physically ring them and get them to pay it back after not getting anything for a similar time period. I was told it was "lost in the system" somewhere. I then got it back a week later.

    Jaguar I-Pace

The biggest complaint on the UK facebook group is the dodgy software and not happy with range.

    Not so Smart!!

It's not about getting a reserved space. It's about getting wider spaces. In order to get sprog out the car, the door needs to be wide open. In most parking spaces in the UK, this is very difficult to in normal spaces when cars are parked both sides. I couldn't care less if the spaces were near...

Range Question I know there are a few...

I think most cars have an estimated remaining mileage. My 2012 car does. Should be able to show both. It will do the same thing as Tesla. The more short journeys I do, the faster it reduces.

    Jaguar I-Pace

A lot of people on here are very close minded. Not everyone though. You must also remember about the location of where people are. The i-Pace in UK and a lot of Europe will sell well. There are large non-Tesla charging infrastructures about. US is a different market, and I can see it struggling...

Blog Jaguar Delivers First I-PACE In U.S. – Owner Not A Fan Of Tesla’s Style

So many people forget that the original Roadster had no supercharging infrastructure when it was released in 2008. With a range of less than 250 miles. It wasn't until 4 years after the release that Tesla started the supercharging infrastructure. Yet here, Jag are being castrated for it. If...

    Jaguar I-Pace

I have no idea, I would have assumed it was more than this. It was just a comment the tweeter/replies to his post, about his journey where he went 150 miles and had 40 left to go. The next day it was showing 150 miles of range. My car when I top it up with diesel shows 650, after about 30...

    Jaguar I-Pace

I didn't agree with the game changer comment. Tesla was the game changer. This is just a good electric car with very good reviews. I cannot see why it can't have raving reviews. @Dan84 says it's not better than the competition - then mentions Tesla and Audi. Are they the only 2 competitors for...
  28. L

    Jaguar I-Pace

Dan I am a little confused - why does it have to be better than the competition to get raving reviews? It could be as good as, or as near as, the competition. More than one car can get raving reviews. To me, a car doesn't have to beat the competition to necessarily get a good review. You are...

    Jaguar I-Pace

is @J1mbo Jim Holder? If so, thanks for the review. Lots of comments about the tweets in the Facebook Jag i-PACE UK group. A couple of comments mention that the demo cars do not have the same battery as the production vehicle - I find the comments a bit suspicious. I do think the estimator is...

    Jaguar I-Pace

The original size was 1890 but I believe it was widened to 2140. Having followed the i-Pace since the prototype I did notice that it had increased in width. Somewhere in this thread I have mentioned it. When viewing it I should have brough a tape measure along with me eh. A couple of my posts...

    Jaguar I-Pace

One review has given it 6/10. There are a number that are more positive about the car. There are around 20 video reviews out there. Jaguar I-PACE review roundup: 20 early videos are mostly positive but lack EV context The carwow review also says a negative is "can't have 7 seats" because they...

    Jaguar I-Pace

Haven't sat in an S or a 3 so can't compare, but the driver and front passenger seats were very spacious. Back wasn't as spacious as I anticipated, anyone over 6ft may struggle to sit in the back for a long drive (not that any drives are that long without stopping in an EV). I am surprised the...

Do you have any actual sources? And disagreeing with my post, which part of it do you disagree with? Jaguar I-Pace

iPace with mirrors folded is 2,011mm. 2,139 is with mirrors unfolded. Where have many Europeans said that about 3? S and X I can understand, but 3 is OK. Standard parking spaces are 2400mm. Numerous roads and bridges have a maximum width of 2000mm. The maximum width I personally think is...

    Jaguar I-Pace

I actually mentioned this a while back. It is disappointing as the concept wasn't as anywhere near as wide.
  37. L

    Jaguar I-Pace

I am mixed on the inside. It looks beautiful, but doesn't seem that spacious. In the video with James Cooke he said it feels spacious and I think he said more so than the S, but when I looked at him in the seats it looked quite cramp! The internal space figures don't seem to match up to the size...

    Jaguar I-Pace

I don't think that is the case at all. I realise this is a Tesla fans forum, but it's nice to have an area where enthusiasts can talk about other EVs out there, but there is a serious Tesla fanboy attitude to when it comes comparing against other EVs. Like you said about Jaguar, why compare it...

    Is the $1,000 deposit Refundable?

Just a FYI, when I cancelled mine they didn't actually process the refund. After a month I rung them and they said they'd look into it. A week later I chased again and they then told me they had forgotten to process it. A week later the money appeared in my account. It's just worth chasing...

    Jaguar I-Pace

This is the bit I am disappointed about. The width (mirrors folded), is 2,011mm. The original concept was 1,890mm. The Model S is too wide as it is.

    Jaguar I-Pace

It's ridiculous on this thread. It's basically US Tesla fanboys ripping apart how rubbish the i-pace is. The fact is, it's not that bad! It's not made to appeal to the US. On the comparison it goes on about size of the car, since when does bigger mean better? I don't care if a Model X is longer...
  42. L

    Jaguar I-Pace

I think it's safe to say this car isn't primarily aimed at the US, unlike Tesla. I think this is a big part of what Jaguar are trying to do. In the UK the Model S and Model X are BIG cars. They can't handle a lot of roads over here. Car parking spaces etc. The reveal was done by a UK...

    Jaguar I-Pace

Although that did make me chuckle, lets just make it clear that the F-Pace and the F-Type are different cars (the F-Pace is SUV, F-Type is a sports 2 seater), some people seem to get confused about the Jaguar range ha. Jaguar's are expensive yes, but in my view the Model 3 is also extremely...

    Jaguar I-Pace

OK well for starters, we're talking about the i-pace, not the e-pace. The e-pace is a small compact SUV non-electric vehicle. This is of similar size to a golf. The i-pace has always been marketed as the as an f-pace equivalent. When first announced it was an electric version of an f-pace like...

    Jaguar I-Pace

That's great to read. It doesn't surprise me though. They originally did say they want to get their whole range on BEV by 2020. That is only 2 years away. There needs to be serious investment and effort to do that. Although Tesla was very small (essentially a global startup) so understandable...

    2019 Jaguar iPace speculation

There is already a thread running on the i-pace. Jaguar I-Pace However a couple of things to note - Pricing was originally going to be 20% above their equivalent f-pace, announcement in March 2018 as mentioned earlier - Jaguar are working with charging infrastructure companies (Chargemaster...

    Jaguar I-Pace

Thats great news, and confirmation again about their deal with Chargemaster for a charging network. Will be interesting to see how this rollout is supported. Not really up for the iPACE cost, as nice as it is. Hopefully with the electrification of the rest of the Jaguar fleet by 2020 means I...

underpromise and overdeliver isn't this Elon's way of working? (obviously sometimes its overpromise and underdeliver with him though!) This wouldn't surprise me at all if it has the ability to go with that sort of charging. There were also rumours a while ago about linking up with commercial...
