Go to Welcome | Tesla Service and create a login (and pay!). That's what I did. As you like in Belgium you should have no trouble getting access. My service center is 1300kms away and it'll cost me €2000 to get it done. I'm motivated too! :)

I am seriously considering cleaning the PEM myself now that I have the official Roadster workshop manual, but do I just pull the fuse or does anyone have the PIN to get into the special screens?

My Roadster has the same issue. It is a standard model though (not a sport). Even on cool days I don't recall the letters staying white for very long... perhaps my PEM is less capable than a Sport one? Right now the PEM is dirty so it doesn't take more than a single blast to get red letters.

In my experience this is already the case. I ran out of juice once in the Roadster (semi-deliberately as I wanted to test the limits) but a quick call to Tesla service and an appropriate flatbed came to take me home. My money is on fancy routing + some range extension. Can't wait for Thursday...
