How to test the rear fog light?

However, this doesn't resolve my original problem. The fog still won't come on. :'( I've taken out the unit and put 4V 40mA directly on the connector, and the fog does indeed work. Now either there's a problem with the control board, or the car simply determines a fog would be nonsense in...

How to test the rear fog light?

Omg. Slaps self over head. Yup. Was a bit mislead earlier, the back side car picture on the dash has the lights reversed! When standing behind the car, the backup is on LH side, fog on the RH side. Now it also makes more sense that the fog light has a beefy heat sink on it, the backup light...

How to test the rear fog light?

Ok, this sounds silly... I've replaced the right hand side (passenger side in the Netherlands) rear light unit. It comes with a fog light (just like the previous unit). When I turn on the rear fog and get out of the car, the fog turns itself off. Ok, no problem, the wife checks if the light...

Remove the clear cover from the rear tail light housing?

I had a lot of water and some dust behind the taillights (2014 Model S P85+, no longer under warranty). So I removed them and dried them out. At some point in the past parts of the tail light stopped working, likely due to the water ingress. I recon I *might* be able to fix this, *IF* I could...

    Access to the heater assembly?

Just the heater, everything else was fine.

    Heater problems

Did not do any firmware upgrade or anything like that (the workshop manual does mention that you should) I used part "6007385-00-J", as that was the only one I could quickly get. My existing part was "6007385-00-G", I'm suspecting there are only small, if any, differences between them, perhaps...

    Heater problems

Fixed it! Costed me €120 for a low milage used one + about 3-6hrs of DIY labor. If you know what you're doing an hour should be doable. :)

    Access to the heater assembly?

I just replaced my broken PTC (6007385-00-G) in my 2014 Model S P85+ with a used one from a 2015 model (6007385-00-J). Tesla mentions that a 6007385-00-G should be replaced by a 1041265-00-E, but I was feeling lucky, and yes, it works fine! It turned out to be quite simple. Sorry, no photo's as...

    Access to the heater assembly?

I found the answer to this in the repair manual (it circulates on this forum somewhere). Tip: In my case, LHD RWD , I didn't have to remove the center console, as was described in the manual, but not mentioned there, you do need to remove a part of the ducting. Anyway, it was fairly easy to...

    Access to the heater assembly?

How to access the heater assembly. Looking at the Parts Catalog, I'm guessing it's behind the glove box? I have to replace the PTC heater that slides in the assembly. Anyone here any experience with that? Thanks, Stu.

    Heater problems

Wow, Tesla took their time. But got back to me today (along with a quote for about €1300, incl. labour) saying that it's "the heating element". I'm guessing it's the PTC, but will confirm this with them. Had a quick look online about these PTC's, so far I've found quite a range of part numbers...

    Heater problems

Didn't help. Also, I was wrong about the windscreen heater working, it's not. I'll reach out to Tesla to see if they can run a diagnostics. In the meantime, I'd still be interested if someone fixed/replaced their own heater core. I've the feeling there might be a big discrepancy in a second...

Will try that tonight. Didn't know full system reset was a thing. I'll report back here later. Thanks!

    Heater problems

I just got my first Tesla. It's a 2014 Model S P85+. It has the Tech package. It does not have the Winter package. I've noticed the heater isn't working. I've checked the fuses, these are good. It seems that the windscreen heater does work, but it's not strong. Thus, obviously I'm suspecting...
