    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

I believe you mentioned before that you used a set of dorman lug nuts with the vorsteiners. Could you confirm what size you used? I know M14x1.5, but I guess i'm curious the length and I guess they are 21mm hex? Thanks.

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

Yep I have the same 107's as you. I'll let you know when it warms up and will post some pics. I have the LR RWD.

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

I did. I had the pilot sport 4s's in 245/285 mounted and balanced a week ago; however it will be a while before I install them on my model 3 since I live in the Northeast.

Also, what exactly did you use to sand with and how long did this take?

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

Has anyone else that ordered from EVS had the same issue? I ordered the last set and am waiting for them to ship. It's definitely disappointing if these weigh 5 lbs more than advertised.

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

I like them.......do you mind me asking what you paid to have them powered coated?

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

I asked EVS to provide a quote for the Vorsteiners with Pilots Sport 4s' mounted and balanced and they quoted me a price for 245's and 285's.

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

Well I guess I'm trying to decide between 235/35/20 & 275/30/20 or 245/35/20 & 285/30/20. In both cases these would be the standard Pilot Sport 4s' (non Tesla version). I feel like I agree that 285 may be a little wide, but I'm also concerned 235 maybe be a little narrow for a 9" wide wheel...

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

Also don't they only make the tesla version in 235/35/20 and not 275/30/20 so wouldn't you only have the tesla version in the front? *Nevermind I see that they do make a tesla version in 275/30/20. Which wheel was this made for?

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

Well I ordered Pilot Sport 4s' in 245/35/20 (PN 22358) and 285/30/20 (PN 44926), but they haven't shipped yet. EVS had quoted them with 245/285's as well. What does everyone else think?

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

I just ordered a set of the Vorsteiner VFF-107's for my LR RWD from EVS. I want to get a set of Pilot Sport 4s'. I was thinking 245/35/20 for the front and 285/30/20 for the rear. Is the correct fitment or do you recommend a different size? What is a good recommendation for a set of TPMS...

    Taptes new wireless charging pad

I've been traveling and haven't had a lot of opportunity to check the charging speed; however anecdotally it seems a little slow. I am using an iphone 8 plus. I've only charged it while the phone was already charged to ~88-95% so maybe that's why. I'll try do some more testing and report back.

    Taptes new wireless charging pad

Mine arrived in New York on 11/24. Sounds like maybe it's sitting in customs?

    Taptes new wireless charging pad

Enter the tracking number on the USPS website as it gets handed over to them once it's in the US. Mine came in through New York and then arrived ~5 days later.

    Taptes new wireless charging pad

I pre-ordered 10/25 for shipment on 11/15. It arrived 11/30. It's definitely charging, but like I said I haven't been able to monitor or test what rate it's charging at. There are some other people in the amazon reviews that also have confirmed they are using it to charge with the Model 3.

Qi Wireless Charging Poll: Jeda or Nomad?

I actually received the Taptes charger today. I posted some pics over here: Taptes new wireless charging pad

    Taptes new wireless charging pad

It does wiggle a little if you try, but doesn't seem to wiggle from simply setting or removing your phone. I haven't added the 4 rubber feet yet, but I assume that's what they are included for. The hub is Sabrent 3-Port Mini USB 3.0 Rotatable Hub that has been working great. I have a...

    Taptes new wireless charging pad

My Taptes charger was delivered today. I ordered the V1 matte version. Quality seems pretty good. The matte surface is slightly rubberized and I think is more than enough in terms of it's anti-slip characteristics. It's not weighted like the Nomad and I don't think it is an exact copy, but...

One day old Model 3 "PULL OVER SAFELY

One of the selling points on the DM was that if one motor failed, the car could still be driven. If this is true than that doesn't seem to be the case. Did they say if the fuses, etc were affected the front drive unit?

    Taptes new wireless charging pad

Well I ordered the taptes version. We'll see if they actually ship me anything.

    Taptes new wireless charging pad

If nomad doesn't reduce the price now that they have removed the battery I may just take a chance on one of these taptes ones.

A REAL wireless charging pad for the Model 3

I just checked their website and they do say that they are now selling a gen 2 version without the battery. They state that a firmware upgrade has increased the output of the USB ports so that they charge at the exact same rate without the battery. They have replaced the battery with a metal...
