haha. it is indeed dark. but it works for me atm. only thing that's annoying is the look of the rear window from the inside when it's super bright, just the fade/color switch is pretty harsh. luckily no one looks and also it provides great visibility

been doing it 10. years this way and 5% is only way to go for me every time. you get used to the low night time visibility and learn to roll your windows down when parallel parking to see curbs, and when turning left/right at busy intersections.

good question, I'll look. the house is SO old there's literally like 5 breakers in the whole panel, so I can't imagine those outlets are on their own. That said, if you're saying I might be OK with the regular outlet's that's GREAT! I've read though that as far as efficiency goes its a killer...
