    Love my new MYP!

Beautiful ride. Congrats! I really love the white with the UTs!

    Love my new MYP!

Well….that’s tricky, as I’ve had 25-30 vehicles over the last 30 years. Haha. I trade every 18-24 months or so. But, most recently I’ve been driving a 2018 LR Discovery HSE Lux. Very very different from the MYP, of course. The Disco rides like a truck but has an amazing level of creature...

    Love my new MYP!

Yes, this appears to be correct. I just saw the Ambient Lighting option in the settings last night and turned it on. It doesn’t appear to be very helpful in the Y. I wish it had LED colored ambient lighting strips (and you could select your color of choice) like the BMWs, Land Rovers and other...

    Love my new MYP!

Correct. I have all 4 USB C ports and both wireless charging pads work. I suspected this may be one advantage of accepting a 2021 model year. From what I’ve been seeing in forums like this it seems to be an issue with 2022 (more recent) builds.

    Love my new MYP!

2021 MYP in MSM with white int, tow, no FSD Had a great delivery experience yesterday morning at Tesla in Brentwood (Nashville), TN. I was there 20 min before they opened and my MYP was sitting out front. So, I took my time with inspection of the exterior and interior (doors were unlocked). No...

Former Model S owner getting a MYP

Time will tell I suppose. But, as far as initial inspection and day one experience, the MYP tops the experience I had on day one with my Model S in 2018. I had some paint issues that should have never passed QC on the Model S.

Former Model S owner getting a MYP

Had a great delivery experience this morning at Tesla in Brentwood (Nashville), TN. I was there 20 min before they opened and my MYP was sitting out front. So, I took my time with inspection of the exterior and interior (doors were unlocked). No issues were found, so I went ahead and started...

Former Model S owner getting a MYP

Absolutely - it'll be one of the major features I'll be observing closely the first couple of weeks, I'm sure. Hoping for the best, but bracing myself for a let down compared to my 2018 Model S.
  9. H

Former Model S owner getting a MYP

I take delivery tomorrow morning at 10am. I snuck over to the Tesla dealer tonight and found my MYP sitting there all pretty and ready to go! I even took the liberty of sitting inside and verified *all USB ports appear to be in place!* At least partially, I attribute this to it being a 2021...

    Bingo

Former Model S owner getting a MYP

Thanks for the detail. Yea, that.....sucks. I used TACC all the time in my 2018 S 75D and it was often on 2 lane roads. And, it worked really really well. I'll reserve judgment until I experience it myself with the MYP I'm getting next week, but this is really disappointing to hear.

Former Model S owner getting a MYP

So helpful - as this is the exact comparison I was looking for (in terms of my prior Tesla to my MYP about to be delivered). 3) So - this Hannshow screen....I'm intrigued, but lots of questions (not that you have to answer, of course). I took a quick look at the website and features. Who...

Former Model S owner getting a MYP

So, this is a difference I wasn’t expecting….disappointing to hear. What’s the difference (just out of curiosity) that makes the MY version of TACC perform differently?

Former Model S owner getting a MYP

This response reminds me of the other reason I'm sure I'll end up buying the $300 homelink. I always park inside our home's garage. When I had my Model S, I bet there were 3-4 times where I locked myself out of the house, and the Tesla app and homelink saved me a $200+ locksmith call. I...

Former Model S owner getting a MYP

This is an amazingly thoughtful and helpful response. Bless you. I am definitely concerned now about the ride quality (compared to the S I owned with air suspension). This is one of the most common refrains I'm hearing - here and in other forums. Yes, I test drove the Y before ordering...

Former Model S owner getting a MYP

So....does this trigger based on vehicle location (GPS) and automatically open and close my garage door? I'm guessing no, which is the predicament I'm in. I have owned a Model S before and love the homelink functionality as built into the Tesla. So, as I understand it, I can only get that...

Former Model S owner getting a MYP

Hi all, I owned a Model S 75D from 2018-2020 and loved it. I always knew I’d likely come back to a Tesla, just a matter of time. I take delivery next week of a MYP in MSM, white int, +tow. We are a family of 5 with kids 12, 10 and 6 (who are excited to have another car that farts). I know the...

    Recent MYP Delivery Estimates

Just curious (for you or anyone else who pushed out a 2021 model in order to get a 2022 model year) - is the concern resell value in the future? Because, as I understand it, the MY itself is unchanged from 2021 to 2022. I willingly accepted (well, delivery is scheduled for next week) a 2021...

    Recent MYP Delivery Estimates

I was in the same boat when I received my VIN just 2 days ago. I researched on this forum (or somewhere on the interwebs) that you can do the Live Chat with Tesla to get a rep to change from cash to allow you to set up financing/leasing option. I did exactly that and had it all solved in 20...

    Recent MYP Delivery Estimates

And, I now have a delivery appointment scheduled for Nov 17. My OD was 10/30 and I received VIN on 11/7. Clearly, I got lucky in terms of wait time. My only concern is that this may be someone else’s “reject”, since it is a 2021 MYP according to VIN.

    Recent MYP Delivery Estimates

VIN assigned today! OD was only about 10 days ago. EDD moved up to Nov 12-18 with today’s VIN assignment. Only mild disappointment is that the VIN reveals this is a 2021 model. But, I’m leasing so I’m not too worried about the “older” model year. Ordered = MYP in MSM and white interior, +tow...

Glitchy Audio - all audio sources

This sounds like a different issue. If you listen to my recording in the OP you’ll see exactly what I’m experiencing. I literally can’t even use the car’s audio any more. Frustrating to say the least.

Glitchy Audio - all audio sources

Thanks. Yea, most comments I’ve read seem to be different issues. I’m dying to know if others are having this same audio behavior...no reason to believe it would be isolated to my vehicle. Since you listened to my recording, I’m sure you can imagine my frustration. What I have going on renders...

    Summon out of my garage

Yea, I would never trust summon to work flawlessly, without standing there with my “finger on the button”. I’ve just seen basic summon do too many weird things over the past year I’ve had the car. That in mind (having to stand by the car), it makes it much more of a party trick than serving...

Glitchy Audio - all audio sources

Thanks for the response. I’m pretty sure Sep 2018 production date (my S75D) came with MCU/2. Also, I would find it very odd that my vehicle’s audio performed fine for the first 6-8 months of ownership, and then started this audio glitching for the last 2 months. To me, that points more to a...

Glitchy Audio - all audio sources

For well over 60 days, I’ve been living with incredibly glitchy audio in my 2018 Model S75D (Sep 2018 prod.). I’ve searched all the Tesla forums, and I’m surprised that I can’t find any threads describing this same audio behavior. I’ve found many threads on audio “popping”, but the audio...

    Sentry mode first impressions

From these forums and others, I'm hearing it just fills up and doesn't overwrite files automatically. So, you do have to manually delete the files. And, as I found out yesterday, just testing Sentry mode for an hour or so, the files/data adds up very quickly. Until they move the storage to a...

    Sentry mode first impressions

After getting 2019.8.3 this morning, and activating Sentry mode for a bit this morning and at lunch, my only complaint is -- MAN, is it ever sensitive and does it ever fill up that USB stick with mainly useless video. I get that we would rather it be too sensitive than not sensitive enough, but...

    How Fast?

About a month ago, I hit 119 on I-65. It was WAY too easy. I didn’t have it planned, I just had a slight downhill and rare opening on the interstate in Nashville. I could have easily pushed it to 130 had I not run into traffic. 2018 MS 75D

EAP / FSD after delivery price as of 3/19/19

I have EAP but decided not to bite on the recent $2,000 offer for FSD. I just logged in to see what the FSD price jumped up to. For me, it's still listed as $2,000, at least as of this morning.

So all model S are 100D now

I'm in the same boat -- took delivery Sep 30. The trade-off is that I (we) received the $7,500 federal tax credit that no longer exists in 2019. In hindsight, I still would have waited and bought this version of the 100D. Anyway, it is what it is.

Multiple Warnings Immediately After Taking Delivery

Update: had my MS75D into the SC last Friday and had the right front wheel sensor replaced same-day. So far so good on the replacement. Still, it's unsettling that a car with 3,000 miles would need a new sensor. I'm guessing it was somehow getting rubbed by the right tire and after 3,000...

    Registration Woes

Last week, after 120 days with no sign of a license plate, Tesla delivery called me and said there had been a mixup with some registration paperwork, and they needed me to come to the Tesla SC and sign a few papers. Fortunately, I'm close to the Tesla SC, so I swung by and signed the paperwork...

Multiple Warnings Immediately After Taking Delivery

I've had this same barrage of error messages on my 2018 MS 75D (only 3,300 miles) popping up intermittently over the past 10 days. When these messages pop up, all ABS/auto-brake-related features are disabled (no regen braking, no traction control, no AP, etc.). I finally swung by the Tesla...

    Registration Woes

Took delivery on Sep 30 and I'm now (Jan 8 and almost 100 days post delivery) on my 3rd temp tag supplied by the local Tesla dealer. Every time I go in to get a new temp tag, I ask, and there's never a straight answer for the delay. They always point the finger at the local DMV being...

My brand new MS "Casper" smells like gasoline

Our 3 year old decided to spill a gallon of gas in the garage today. I'm pretty sure we're now the only Tesla owners who have a brand new Tesla that reeks of gasoline. So....there's that.....

Successfully Home Charging on 110V 15A

Makes sense. Honestly, my sense is the two electricians I had out to the house just didn't want to "get creative with" the main breaker panel. They both saw the brand new Model S and I have a feeling they decided they could make a better payday by charging $1,500 to do a long run across the...

    Software Update 2018.42.x

Did you activate the feature in your Autopilot settings? I was also thinking I didn't have it after 42.2 this morning, but then I remembered it has to be activated in settings. Once activated, *as long as you have a Navigation destination set, and the highway you are on is activated for Nav on...

Successfully Home Charging on 110V 15A

Wow, I really appreciate the thorough response and creative ideas. I am going to get the original electrician who wired the house (1 year ago) out here to talk through options, and I'm going to print these 4 options and ask his opinion. It does seem like we should be able to get creative and...

    Software Update 2018.42.x

Alright there, buddy, simmer....simmer..... You obviously have some passion(?) around your view on this. I'll just say I stand by my observation. To me, this is progress toward FSD. My car is now doing things in an automated fashion that it couldn't do just yesterday. I'll call that progress.

    Software Update 2018.42.x

I woke up this morning to 2018.42.2 (19e7e44). I was rushing out the door to drop the kids at the bus stop, so I had no time to sit and fidget with it. At the bus stop, I did quickly activate the rear camera on the top 1/2 of the screen (a floating window as others have noted). This wasn't a...

Successfully Home Charging on 110V 15A

Thanks. I believe the garage outlet I'm using is on a circuit with other plugs, but it doesn't hurt to ask an electrician.
