I am looking to pick up some M3P Ubers for my MYP. Can we use the factory tires of the M3P Ubers or will need to replace them with higher-load tires to support the MYP?

Transformer is installed and should be live. I didn’t have my Tesla so couldn’t test.

I’m running 265 fronts and 275 rears. I will be going to 275 fronts and 295 rears on next tire change. No issues with my setup and many are running 275/295 no issues.

Upgrade to JL Amp, I wanted to try out the new German Helix stuff. If I had a chance to do it again, I would done JL Amp.

Yes comment from my wife she said the new change was as close to her RX350. If my car wasn’t lowered and left at stock height we can probably say it can be similar in the ride comfort. Close enough I’m happy with it.

Front took 5 hours because of the hiccup. The rear was easy and took about 1-1.5 hour each. From start to finish full day by myself.

The ride quality is near day and night. 90% of the harsh effects are gone. I’m am completely satisfied and can compare to my wife’s Lexus RX350 ride comfort.

I can say I am completely satisfied with the quality of these coil overs. Right out the gate from factory settings (maybe it’s already 12/12) I had tested at locations where I always had to slow down because of how harsh the road is and man the coilover absorbed maybe 90% of it. Just wow just...

@MountainPass Model Y Torque specs available? I had to follow the Unplugged documentation for most of the torque specs but cannot find one for the 21mm nut that holds the coilover kit arm to the suspension.

Just make sure the part on the strut that will link up with the sway bar is pointing inward you should be good.

I’m like this isn’t difficult stuff and it’s not my first with coil overs especially during my younger years with cars all were upgraded with coil overs. Yup I laughed about it.

No markings. Just make sure the part for the sway bar link on the strut is pointing inwards. As you can see on my pictures it was pointing outward which will be 1 inch off.

Disregard. User error. @MountainPass maybe labeling the struts so we know its Left and Right? The Tesla oem struts are labeled therefore couldn’t make a mistake. Will test ride it tomorrow.

We can disregard it as a potential issue but user error.

Yes swapping the coil over fixed the issue. Had it on the wrong side.

Is it possibly to change the title to Sway bar link? Not sure how to change it.

Haha yes long day. It took me about 15 minutes to remove it which was concerning. But if it’s by design then we are good. Wanted to make sure because it’s a May 2020 build.

Yes sway bar. My mistake. I will clock it and see if it will align.

Take note of the first picture I was able to turn it to the right all the way and you can see the joint fully turned. In your picture it does look like it didn’t need to turned at all to align. And yes my wheel was straight and it didn’t align.

I wanted to ask if the sway bar supposed to be able to turn to the left all the way? When I took it off from the stock strut it was a struggle. It’s off by 1 inch on the stock strut as well and I would assume since it was forced in from the factory it’s putting a lot of stress on the joints. Idk
