Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
I have used 3rd party optional insurance for a claim long time ago. I didn't have to deal with ICBC at all. I think it would depend upon a claim type, but you could ask BCAA or other providers for more information.
I'm on the same boat and disappointed with Tesla's decision not to include us (who missed by couple of days). The email invite to order didn't even mention about the losing lifetime premium connectivity.
When the car goes to sleep-mode, it would disconnect WiFi. So, I would expect it will connect/disconnect to WiFi as the car goes in and out of sleep mode.
Yeah, it's sad their lack of ability to communicate to the current and future owners. They really need better PR team (not dismantling them). Nothing I can do now... just hope they do early buyers of Model 3 do right.
Sad news from Tesla....
I revived my old email threads regards to premium connectivity package with Tesla. This is their response after I referenced the website article. I'm more disappointed then upset. I'm not sure what's the logic of who's getting this perk!!
Hello Andrew,
We have...
There isn't a lot of benefit of using 5G. Canadian carriers are slow to roll out 5G towers, and there isn't significant speed/latency improvements over 4G/LTE. It may change over time, but not now.
You're not alone on that. I missed by 2 days (ordered on July 2!), got my 2018 LR RWD on Aug 2018! I'm patiently waiting for Tesla to get to 2018 models (fingers cross!)
I'm on the same boat. I missed the lifetime premium connectivity by couple of days. I did sign up for the subscription couple of days ago. I really hope to get the unlimited subscription. Fingers crossed.
Yesterday, the TPMS warning light came on for one of the tire (front passenger side at 38 psi). The driver side was about the same psi (38-39) but no warming lights. I've inflated more air on all the tires and check the pressures to be 40 psi all around, but the warning light isn't going away...
There is several old threads about it. I got mine from U-Haul (which uses Curt hitch). I found it has best price for the hitch and the installation. It's good to find a U-Haul location where they've done Tesla Model 3 installation. I'm sure there is one (or more) U-Haul location in GTA where...
You can keep wait in line. I don't think Tesla will do anything at this point. I missed the life-time Premium Connectivity package by 3 days (as I ordered it July 2. The cut-off date was June 30). I reached out to delivery specialist, Tesla support numerous times, and did not get anywhere...
Personally, I don't drive enough on highways let alone just city driving (work from home) to justify the cost of EAP or FSD. If I had money (cash) to spend on that, I'd invest / buy tesla stocks. I think it would give me a better return on money.
I used to use this combo til I recently changed to 240GB 2.5" SSD drive from old laptop.

The order needed be placed by June 30, 2018. Tesla wasn't really clear on the policy change, and did not inform the customers. The Tesla community sites (Teslarati, and others) was the source that I found after I placed the order. It's a bit of sad situation and I don't think they will do...
It's on my signature line. "Invited: Jun 28, 2018 | Ordered: Jul 2, 2018 | Delivered: Aug 31, 2018"
When I received the invite it did not mention anything about the upcoming change, and I was on my camping trip. So it took a sometime to discuss with my wife to make the decision to order it as...
I missed the cutline by 2 days. If I knew about the upcoming change related to premium connectivity, I would have ordered it earlier. I have been complaining to Tesla ever since I learned about the change. But, so far nothing. :(
I just got an email from Tesla saying that my Premium Connectivity Ending 05/18/2020. It's $13.99/mo plus tax. I guess I will wait for the day when I need to commute to work. I don't think I am driving enough these days to spend money on this.
I would recommend to visit BCAA to get quotes from both ICBC and BCAA on the stop. I'm with BCAA for now as it was cheaper at the time. I will shop around again when I need to renew later this year.
Same here. I get around 475km (projected) at 100% for my LR RWD. You seem to have similar delivery date as mine. It might be due to our batch issue(?). I'm not worried but I would be happier to see the higher "projected" range. lol.
Here's the link for Tesla approved body shops.

When I had post delivery paint issues, Tesla sent it over to No.1 collision (west 3rd location) for the service. You might want to check there as it is closest from the downtown.
I believe they're getting the information from Google Map service. I guess it depends upon the area and how they poll the information from other Google users.
You might have to grant a permission to access SMS on your phone for Tesla (over Bluetooth). It should be on your Android Bluetooth settings (for your Tesla).
My comment was on "Crowded locals".
I know there are large number of Tesla owners in lower mainland. I'm not sure how many Tesla owners without Free SuperCharging use SuperChargers regular basis. For me, it's more expensive to use SuperChargers unless I need it for road trip or faster charging...
$20 CAD/month seems to be on high side. I'm hoping it to be around $13-15/month. Also, this would be more seamless than using Phone Hotspot, as not all features are available through WiFi. For example, live traffic data and satellite view aren't available without premium connectivity.
My mom had similar issue with ICBC; the car was damaged by "tire-debris". ICBC said that since it wasn't a "flying object" it's not covered by comprehensive coverage, WHAT!? Interesting definition. Hope the repair has been done completely to your ratification.
Did any Canadian Tesla owners receive an email notification?
How will I be notified when my Premium Connectivity trial is about to expire?
We will automatically send you an email notification with information on how to subscribe to Premium Connectivity in the week before your trial expires...
Yes and No. The streaming music should work over WiFi while driving. The WiFi gets turned off automatically, when you put Tesla into drive. You have to manually turn WiFi on, if you want to use your hotspot. I'm not sure if this would work for traffic visualization and satellite view. I do...
There's another thread on this for BC residents. I'm currently participating in the program. It provides charging, driving and whole bunch of data to you and the program. I might eventually disconnect it, as it feels like it's gathering too much data.
I'm hoping these data helps to roll out...
