    New Tires, what to get?

I understand about the noise. I hope you find one that fits the comfort level you're looking for. The Wider tires do fit fine, at 255, that is the widest you can go on the 8.5" Wheel Width, without compromise on safety. The side wall of the wheel does match up well with the face of the Wheel...

    New Tires, what to get?

We changed our 18" Model 3 Tires to a Falken Azenis FK510 series tire. There's not foam inserts for those, but my Wife doesn't notice any more road noise than before. We have about 8k miles on the, since Sept. They've held up well, corner great, even for a RWD like our Model 3. Their price...

about to buy a cpo model s. IS AP2 that much better than AP1?

This is how I see it. We have a Model S with AP1, and a Model 3 with AP2.5. AP1 seems like Confident, yet Naive mindset. It handles many AP situations very well and Lane changes are without hesitation. But there are times, where it doesn't have enough information to make a move, "Safely". I...

Would you give up free supercharging for life?

We just purchased a used 2015 Model S, with AP1, and Free Supercharging. We already have a LR RWD 3, that we bought back in Sept. The MS, will now become our travel car, already planning a trip from Round Rock to St. Augustine, FL for the Summer. 2000+ Free, Supercharged Miles, RT... I can't...

Our loan is through UFCU, 66mo @2.75% w/$300 GAP. We went talked to RBFCU, but they didn't seem interested in answering the questions we had about the loan. USAA is our Ins Provider, $1084/yr.

    Texas Hold Up!

That's fantastic. Here's to future road trips for no good reason other than to enjoy the car! I'm gonna head off soon to go get an updated on our PPF work. Hopefully I can catch them working on it, so I can get some good pics of the progress.

    Texas Hold Up!

Awesome, congrats. Some the things we found later at the Detail shop were a Paint Run along the edge of the Rear Passenger Side door. Really hard to see, it wasn't very big, but the Paint Correction Guy pointed it out to us. We also three tiny spots, dimples from paint drip. Again, reallllly...

Does tinting the roof reduce the heat?

The glass above the driver's head is heat protected. It's a two sheets of glass that sandwich a ceramic film between them. This was validated by our tint shop who just did our Model 3 this past Friday. We did Suntek CIR 30 on the side windows, 80 on the windshield (one piece) and 30 on the...

    Pick-up At Austin Ponds 09/14/18

Austin PS never contacted me directly. My DA and I worked out the Date and Time to coordinate with my Wife's work schedule and the we just showed up. As far as helping out with Customers, this may be completely up to Austin PS. The parking lot in packed with cars. Finding a parking spot is...

    Pick-up At Austin Ponds 09/14/18

We had a great experience, overall. We arrived early, parking was an issue, but a spot eventually opened up. They greeted us, checked us in, took us back early. We reviewed the car, spent maybe 20 minutes. We didn't find anything wrong with the car (built 8/18). We were out there door...

    Texas Hold Up!

Ok, to badge... or not to badge? They removed my hood badge so they can do the paint correction and PPF and not have to work around it, which I'm cool with. However, seeing it today, with it off... I'm thinking of leaving it off. Thoughts???

Yup, our Delivery person explained that to us today, too. Just gotta flip it over.

    Texas Hold Up!

Easily, 40+... and that's just the front facing the intersection. Not what was along the backside or inside being worked on. It was still a mix of cars (S/3/X), but the were quite afew still with their white transport wrap on them. Here's a pic of the delivery area, not including our car:

    Texas Hold Up!

We have us a new car. Austin Pond Springs was ready for us today. We showed up about 45min early. The parking lot was packed, but eventually found a space. They checked us in, and took us back early. Our car was waiting for us, for the most part, it was in good delivery condition. Again...

    Pick-up At Austin Ponds 09/14/18

I ended up sending an email to my DA. My Wife was not going to be able to get off of work in time to make our 9/27 date. So, we needed to be rescheduled during a time she would be off of work. I wasn't actually expecting the car to be in Austin PS yet, so I was surprised on how it all worked out.

    Pick-up At Austin Ponds 09/14/18

Thanks for the Review, our Pond Springs appt is tomorrow (Wed) and we are planning on getting there early as well. I've been hearing that parking is a nightmare and we are going to be bringing two vehicles. From PS, the M3 is going straight to the Shop that's doing our paint correction and PPF...

Trunk Accidently left open wake-up call

That 3am watch group... they have a Round Rock, TX Chapter that offers the same service. A week ago, they did a neighbor a solid by removing four wheels and tires that might have been a danger to the owner, free of charge. I'm sure those replacements are coming any day now.

    Full car Xpel stealth etching.

Maybe I'll let it ride, the chrome. After all, it is the Wife's car. If she doesn't like it, we'll cover it up.

    Full car Xpel stealth etching.

Are you planning on getting any blackout done for the chrome pieces or are you gonna leave them? Our M3 (pickup is on Wed) is also black, but we are gonna stick to the clear PPF. I'm considering the chrome delete and smoking the headlights a bit. I really do like the Stealth. A buddy of mine...

    Texas Hold Up!

We've been notified that our Model 3 is at the Service Center. I had reached out because our delivery date was going to conflict with my Wife's work schedule. We've been offered a new delivery date for this Wed (19th)!

Are we able to call Pond Springs SC to reschedule the time of the Customer Delivery. I'll be taking the day off, but my Wife won't be able to and she needs to be the and sign. Also, they don't attempt to put the front LP bracket on, do they? We have our own.

    Texas Hold Up!

My VIN isn't also showing up when I search, but I'm led to believe my Vehicle hasn't even left CA yet for a 9/27 Delivery in Austin. Initially, it was stated that if I haven't made my final payment to Tesla that we owed to them, by 9/13, they'd have reschedule delivery. So, I'm assuming that...

She's our ISA too, Stephanie. She has been great with us, too. We made our final payment to Tesla this morning. She's validated that our Wire was successful and that our Car is in process to be shipped to Texas.

We will be using Authentic Details in Pflugerville, aka ClearBra North Austin. They are going to do our Paint Correction, PPF and Window Tint. They also offer a Veteran's Discount @10%. We take delivery of our car (hopefully) on 9/27 and we plan to drop the car off on our way home and have...

They are limited, more that I was expecting, in their Install areas. I'm hoping they can move past that and service more people around our area. We have several friends of whom would like to use as referrals, but can't since Tesla doesn't install in their area.

I don't want to name my damn car!

I've owned... eight vehicles in my time, our Model 3 will make number nine. I've only named... legitimately named, three of them. My first vehicle, a 1980 Buick Regal painted in Cinnamon. I called it Heinz 57, because that's what the color looked like in the sun. The last two are our Mercs...

Here's what September will bring to Model 3 ordering...

Similar for us, Ordered 8/28, Default Black LR RWD, VIN on 8/30, Funded on 9/4, Delivery set for 9/27. I was floored by the turn around speed on all of this. 20 days from Delivery though.... I can live with that.

Widest tires in front for square set up?

Thanks MP, I appreciate your input!
  49. paco878

Widest tires in front for square set up?

That's actually important information for us. My Wife's daily commute is 110 miles Round Trip. Dropping 20% would hurt us, so it might now be a good idea for us to go back up a 265. If anyone is running 245 or 255 on the 18" Aero, what are y'all seeing compared to stock performance on the 235s?
  50. paco878

    Tint, Clear Bra, Ceramic

Good, I like that transparency then. We will be doing Suntek CIR for the windows and i'm good with 45%. Maybe a bit lighter for the back glass.. not sure yet. Front Windshield will be an 80%.
