    HUD possible for model 3?

Jaguar showed something interesting more than a year ago, perhaps Tesla is after a similar experience?

Elon at it again on Twitter

Brings up an interesting point considering the current range. I think a M3 85D will get around 270 miles EPA, the same as the current MS 90D. But if the 90 kWh battery is replaced for 100 kWh (MS 100D, P100D), the line up is balanced. The highest range and fastest acceleration is for the high...

In that case, we might see the improved snake charger tomorrow :)!

Elon at it again on Twitter

It sounds like there is some killer feature, like the falcon wing doors on the X, that he's not talking about yet. It could be that there is debate within the company on the inclusion of this feature. I expect a few prototypes based on the the 70D powertrain that should give an impression of the...

Elon at it again on Twitter

"Tomorrow is Part 1 of the Model 3 unveil. Part 2, which takes things to another level, will be closer to production." "You will see the car very clearly, but some important elements will be added and some will evolve." Tweets with replies by Elon Musk (@elonmusk) | Twitter

Leaked Model 3 specs 0-60 in under 4 sec and 300+ mile range

Ah yes, I meant the price of the PxxD version excluding options.

We want some Model 3 Leaks, renders, sketches !

Indeed 60 Minutes Australia. After comparing a bit I think it's an X.

We want some Model 3 Leaks, renders, sketches !

Did this one already pass? I'm skeptical it's the 3, but it sure isn't an S and looks a bit small to be an X. Perhaps a first look at the Y?

Leaked Model 3 specs 0-60 in under 4 sec and 300+ mile range

Elon always said Tesla's cars should be a better car than their ICE counterpart, so let's compare these top model specs to the competition: - MB C63 AMG sedan: 0-60 in 4.0 sec, ±350 miles range, ±65k - BMW M3: 0-60 in 4.1 sec, ±320 miles range, ±64k So the top end should be in that ball park.

German my friend, not Dutch, they're quite different

Great find! The roofline looks higher, shorter end and smaller overall. It's however hard to tell due to the camera angle. It sure has a lot in common with the S, although the front looks like it has features of the X. Compare to the picture below.

    I guess I was wrong.

Noticed that too, seems highly likely that a 20% smaller car has the same width and height. We'll just have to wait a bit longer, maybe Elon has some mysterious tweets in store for us.

Great render, I do however think the rear door entry would be horrible..What do you guys think of a M3 with the body style of the DS5?

95% sure it's a Saleen FourSixteen. I'm guessing the camera's lens causes the strange proportions.

I think Tesla can really stand out from the crowd and attract new customers if they make a sedan that has some aggressive and retro lines such as the IDx concept, albeit with four doors. Of course they could always do something like this, but that doesn't look compelling enough to me.

I'd love it if they made it look anything like the Nissan IDx concept.

    Hub motors revisited

Thanks for the links, I don't know the figures, but my hypothesis is that the efficiency of 4 seperate motors is better than mechanical efficiency of the drivetrain. My guess is that mechanical efficiency gets up to 80%-85% and the loss in efficiency between 1 and 4 seperate elektric motors is...

    Hub motors revisited

Hey everybody, My question is if Tesla ever played with the MIEV-idea, the use of 2 or 4 small electrical engines in the wheels instead of one big engine + connectionshafts? My opinion is this is a more compacter(thuss lighter), practical and efficient solution as you'll need less parts. Or...
