Nice warning when you leave charging port door open and drive off

So, after having the charge door open warning for 12 consecutive days, even though the charge door was closed, the car is now recognizing the charge door is closed. It happened on Sunday without any fanfare and now I can see my headsup display for navigation again. Very strange indeed but I will...

Nice warning when you leave charging port door open and drive off

Robert, I've had this warning for the past three days. I can't figure out how to make it go away. I tried a 'soft-reset' (holding both selector wheels down on the steering column) and that didn't work. Anyone have any suggestions? (Other than taking the car into the service center) Greg

Supercharging option pricing/60 kWh pack fee discussion

Just got an email with an offer to add supercharging to my 60kWh Model-S for $1000 (half of what it will cost 60kWh cars for people who have not configured) which I happily chose to do. You then get supercharging for free for the life of the car. After this work is complete, you will then...

    Random Model S sightings

Saw my first "In the wild" Model-S sighting near my office back on August 31st but haven't had a chance to post till now. It's the car featured in the AutoBlog article and while I don't prefer black cars it is really amazing to see it in person on the road (and with dust on it!) Makes...

Had my test drive yesterday at the Los Angeles event and wanted to relay my thoughts. But first, to ggr, sorry to hear you had a bad experience. That sounds like a different event than I went to. Everyone was amazingly helpful and really welcoming. There seemed to be a good mix of females...

    My Tesla Status

Same here. It's really shaping up to be able to see the design and options along with the price. Also, I think it is nice they took the Federal Tax Credit out of the price so you can see a pre-tax incentives price.

    Green Race Website

Not sure if anyone has seen this...but they already have the information for the Tesla Model-S (all three battery packs, too). You put in your starting address in the Map Address bar. Then you click on your destination to drop a pin and it will show you how much charge you will have when you...

If EV's have such great torque, why doesn't my Prius have any?

I keep reading and hearing about how a great benefit of an electric drivetrain is the instant torque that they offer. I have test driven the Roadster and been to the Model-S ride event and know firsthand of the great torque that a Tesla drivetrain offers. My question is this: Why is the...

I have a reservation for a Model-S (P-237) and am trying to figure out how I will charge the car and was wondering if anyone with any experience in this area can help me. First, the Model-S won't fit in my garage. It is a little too long and I don't have the money to rebuild my garage...

Tesla coupled with a SolarCity charging station?!

I had a SolarCity PV system installed (with a group purchase from 1BOG.com) in December of 2009. (I live in LA). At that time, one of the big draws was that they were offering a free charging station install if you purchased a Tesla (I already had put down a Model-S reservation). I even had...
