I have done that to satisfy the regular autopilot confirmation. But not for wheel changes.

I have my 3 set to auto lane change with only the chime notification, and yet, every time it wants to change lanes on its own, it asks me to jog the wheel -- like the regular autopilot does during a drive. I rarely used Cruise Control in my ICE cars. I suppose when I did it was on wide-open roads and I probably put my foot down. I have mostly been using AP commuting in the Chicagoland area, so traffic flow is usually busy both ways.

I'm a new Model 3 own who did not pay for the autopilot functionality (yet). I notice, though, that I can elect to turn on Autosteer Beta. What does this do? Does it actually function if I haven't purchased autopilot? Does it only work when cruise control is engaged? Thanks for any help.
