    Texas Hold Up!

Ooo maybe this means I'll get mine soon too? I picked up on 9/8. I'm, of course, on the second side of my temp plate, but my vanity plate has been waiting at the Southlake Town Hall DMV office for a couple weeks now. Anxious to get it all final.

    Texas Hold Up!

I just got my car back from PPF, quartz coating, and console/dash wrap. I am very happy with it. I chose a brushed black metallic vinyl for both the console and the dash and it looks really cool. I used Speed Shield in Addison. It's an expensive place, but they do tons of cars. He said mine was...

    Texas Hold Up!

Phew, I was starting to think I was extra slow because I didn't even wonder why you didn't just drop your phone in there :) One thing I wanted to add. I have an iPhone X in a lifeproof case, and I've added a Jeda wireless pad to the phone dock. First time I put my phone down it shot down into...

    Texas Hold Up!

What a terrible let down for everyone again. It seemed as though they had ironed it out and got things moving, but it's gone backward again. Seems trucks are the big issue - whether that is driver shortage or truck shortage, who knows for sure. I have a friend at Cedar Springs right now and his...

    Texas Hold Up!

Yep, that's what I was told before mine actually got moved to Cedar Springs. Except mine was 12v battery dead, replaced on site before the car could be moved.

    Texas Hold Up!

Right? I'm a software girl and was like.....well that is clearly just the note for the very last increment. That was a whole lot of updating for only "bug fixes" :) It went without a hitch though, and car is still awesome! I did get some new features I think, notably the walk away lock sound...

    Texas Hold Up!

Been raining since Labor Day up here. Just two days no rain I think. I've discovered the car looks beautiful with water just rolling off it. Nevertheless, I was tickled to finally get to see the Obsidian in sunshine today. Looks so pretty! I also realized my car already had the update to get...

Tax on supercharging? I never paid attention but do we pay sales tax on electric bills at home?? That surprises me a bit.
  9. libra89

    Texas Hold Up!

And I figured it out. I have to re-pair the phone as a key :)
  10. libra89

    Texas Hold Up!

So my phone access magically came back sometime overnight - YAY! But seems the car still wants to have the key card. I am not sure what order of operations I need to do now to get it to recognize the phone instead. I drove to work on key card access, and then after I got out at the garage I used...

    Texas Hold Up!

I didn't, because by the time I knew what the deal was, my car was already on the lot, so there wasn't anything for me to gain by knowing that. Glad you found some tracking info though!

    Texas Hold Up!

72-96 hours, according to my friend that works at BNSF. From there, who knows.

    Texas Hold Up!

Are you able to see Pond Springs deliveries originating from both Lathrop and from Fort Worth? At first I struggled to get anything other than Lathrop originations. I didn't really care about those because I knew my car was in Fort Worth. So it could be something like that.

    Texas Hold Up!

Mine actually didn't drop off, she stayed with me. I was mad on the night before my first date because she seemed to have ghosted me, and didn't respond to my email. But, then I found out she went out sick for 3 days. She was fine after that. Yes, the fedex documents say not to date them. That...

    Texas Hold Up!

Saturday night after delivery I had to work for a bit. We finished at 11:30 PM. I HAD to go to the grocery store. I was not going to survive another moment without a Diet Dr Pepper ;-) Sunday morning I added all my accessories, washed the car, and then went aimlessly driving. Sunday night I...

    Texas Hold Up!

Yes, I got a fedex package that had all the paperwork to allow Tesla to register the car on my behalf. The Tx DMV forms, limited power of attorney, etc. It arrived on the morning of my original delivery appointment. Sign but don't date anything, seal it in the FedEx return envelope that will be...

    Texas Hold Up!

Yes, yes, this is a problem. I have a 10 mile commute and it might just need to be longer :)
  18. libra89

    Texas Hold Up!

Best 5 miles ever though, right? I was really looking forward to my drive this morning, and the chance to park in an EV spot :) Glad it went well for you - pretty car! They’re working hard in Dallas!

    Texas Hold Up!

I'll try it later. It looks like it did before I had the car, with just the videos showing. Coincides with my telsa account page looking like someone who is still awaiting delivery. No biggie for the moment, I'm still able to go and have a blast!

    Texas Hold Up!

After my phone app kicks back in? I'm sure that will just top it off. I am thrilled already. I am totally fabricating places to go and driving aimlessly for the sake of it. Gave the car a good wash down this morning and it still looks flawless to me. I've got the grin, for sure!
  21. libra89

    Texas Hold Up!

My phone app access disappeared sometime between 2 and 5AM today, which is barely 10 hours after delivery. I'm betting I'll be going "old school" with key card access until sometime tomorrow at the soonest. Assuming so because I was so late in the delivery day yesterday and they are closed...

    Texas Hold Up!

Oh, just remembered too....Barry seemed genuinely interested in making sure I had a way to follow up later if I had issues. I was just about to drive off after he handed me my toll tag and put plates from my trade in the trunk, and he walked back to the car to give me his direct phone number. He...

    Texas Hold Up!

Just went out for a snack, just because :) Barry did most of it, but Brooklyn also answered a few questions that Barry couldn't. He was nice though, spent plenty of time with me. Seemed like he might be new-ish though? He thought he'd paired my phone with my car when he could make the horn...

    Texas Hold Up!

That is the part of the process that causes so much anxiety for people. Tesla really needs to fix this. If they were more transparent about what's happening, a lot of aggravation would probably be alleviated. I know my car sat on the Ft Worth lot for at least 2 weeks. Once I told my IDA that I...

    Texas Hold Up!

I bet they did too, it was super busy in there, cars all over the place. I was near to the last delivery today, and the delivery specialists were all tired but in great moods. They are genuinely happy to turn these cars over to people. I had a good experience for sure. Brooklyn told me my OBM...

    Texas Hold Up!

Well folks, despite some heavy rain for my ride over there, and some serious anxiety that something would still go wrong, I have taken possession of the most awesome car I have ever owned! So happy! I even got autopilot access before I got all the way home. Met up with some friends in Grapevine...

It was Brooklyn, not Hilary, that helped me before, and she helped me again today. I AM SO HAPPY!!! :)

    Texas Hold Up!

Thank you! Trying not to get all anxious and nervous! No calls so far, T-minus 3 hours. Is this really happening? Looks like no two ways around it being a very wet occasion though. I'll definitely let everyone know how it goes.

    Texas Hold Up!

Thanks! We're having some really horrible weather up here in DFW. Not the best day to take possession of a new car, but oh well! I think Tesla overall tries to take care of people after the sale, so we shall see. I am not doing tint right away, but I am scheduled for PPF and ceramic coating in...

    Texas Hold Up!

I talked to her on the Saturday I made a field trip just to investigate. She was really nice. A bit frazzled because they were busy, cars rolling out of that bay every few minutes. At first she was like "OK, but have you been to a gallery yet?". When I told her I was waiting for delivery she...

    Texas Hold Up!

Oh, and I am pretty sure you can take as long as you want to look at the car outside, you just probably won't have the attention of the delivery staff. At least that's what I am also assuming. My appointment is scheduled for what is outside their published hours today, so I hope they don't rush...
  34. libra89

    Texas Hold Up!

It's pouring rain here today. I am assuming they will have cars outside, in which case I'm just going to ask how long after delivery can I still report something and have them take care of it. Paint defects will be hard to see if the car is rain soaked. Hoping for the best, and the hurdles have...

    Texas Hold Up!

Awesome! Glad to hear it's finally close for you too. I am still worried that the rug will be pulled out from under me at the last minute. You know how when the same person stands you up more than once and you no longer believe they will show when they say they will? I'm hoping with the...

    Texas Hold Up!

Unfortunately I won’t, my appointment is at 4. So I’ll go in my Venza, then head to Cedar Springs :)

    Texas Hold Up!

I just realized you are in Austin, so you probably don't really care about the deliveries into Cedar Springs. I am sure there are some Austin deliveries here that could share a VIN for you to register with. I know there were several Austin folks monitoring over the last few days.

    Texas Hold Up!

From the above post, pick any VIN delivered from the route you are interested in, and register on Delivery Receipts - United Road using the "register" link that will appear. You'll then get an email with a link to the site to get this kind of result, as well as your temp password to log in.

    Texas Hold Up!

Three PDF's and a screenshot. "Current" shows pending, in route, and recently delivered. Delivered shows just delivered, for the last week. The screenshot is the small handful in route from Lathrop since the rest of that list would be in the Lathrop_Dallas_Delivered PDF. Take these with a...

    Texas Hold Up!

Wow, looks like UR played a lot of catch up today. A total of 17 cars from Ft Worth to Dallas today. Mine now officially shows on the UR site as delivered to Cedar Springs too. First time in my life I've ever been so aware of my car's VIN number :) I see 13 from Lathrop today. Yesterday there...

    Texas Hold Up!

I also got a bit of good news today. My IDA called me this evening and let me know my car made it to Cedar Springs. She fit me in for a very late afternoon delivery on Saturday. So barring any more surprises in the inspection and prep process.... just want to be cautiously optimistic. My IDA...

    Texas Hold Up!

I registered as a 3 but I’m probably going to be a sad Toyota Venza :( Anxiously awaiting confirmation that my car moved today as they said it would. So far no evidence that it has. Still hoping.

    Texas Hold Up!

From what I understand, the train won't depart CA until it reaches a critical mass - how many cars that is, I do not know. But once it moves I've been told the route to Ft Worth is 72-96 hours, so not really that slow. One advantage I imagine is that the cars make the transit in an enclosed rail...

    Texas Hold Up!

Well now THIS is some good news!! And home delivery to boot! How did that go? Car clearly is in good condition despite it's extended stay. Did anyone have any further information for you about that?

    Texas Hold Up!

Man, that is not good. I'm sorry to hear it. Mine arrived in the rail lot between the 20th and 23rd as best I can tell, so I bet they are keeping each other company. Did you tell your IDA you had information about the location and status of your car? Mine seemed pretty surprised when I told her...

    Texas Hold Up!

Yeah, I hear you about the rollercoaster. Up and down and up and down. Good news! Bad news :( Like others have said, it will happen soon. I was in the most rotten mood over it the last couple days, but I've resolved myself to try to relax about it again. Of course that's easier when you've...

    Texas Hold Up!

I don't want to jinx myself, but there is light at the end of the tunnel! My IDA emailed me at 2:30 to tell me that my car should be at the delivery center in the next 24 hours. Of course that's just the next hurdle, but I'm optimistic. No change on the United Road site though, still shows...

    Texas Hold Up!

"In the Dallas area" sounds suspiciously like the Ft Worth rail jail :-( You are right, there are a few of us Dallas deliveries that are losing patience. I've been rescheduled 3 times now, and waiting an answer on why my car hasn't been picked up from rail jail given that it's been there at...

    Texas Hold Up!

I totally understand that feeling. You have waited longer than all of us. I feel like I have a vapor car and like they keep going "oh, just kidding, no car for you". Getting out of rail jail is just the next step in a process that sadly could still go south, so your caution is warranted. My ISA...
