App Rate Plan - Ontario Hydro

That’s what I figured and tried to ignore it but it gives me an error if I try to leave it blank or enter a “0.00”

App Rate Plan - Ontario Hydro

Fellas - I’m manually setting the rate plan in my app and it wants me to enter “buy” and “sell” prices for electricity. Any idea what that’s all about? My rate plan just has good ol’ on/off/super off peak. I don’t “sell” back anything but the app won’t let me enter a zero in that field. Thoughts?

    Help! Rear Tint Question

Reluctantly, the 2-piece. Never did get confirmation if that was the only option or not so who knows. The good thing was, it turned out good and you can’t even tell there’s 2 pieces. Wish I could say the same for the rest of the job though, would NOT recommend Tint FX in Vienna, VA. Would be...

    SiriusXM radio on Model 3

Hope someone on this thread can talk to this - I have an iPhone X with the Sirius XM app and use it to listen to Sirius in my 2018 Model 3 via Bluetooth. My phone is set as my “priority device” in my car’s Bluetooth settings. After driving and listening to Sirius, I park and exit my car, and...

Tire Repair/Patch Shop in Arlington, VA?

Anyone know of a reputable tire shop in Arlington, VA where I can get a slow leak in one of my tires patched up? I’ve called around and can’t find anyone that’s familiar with working on Teslas. And I don’t feel like waiting for a month for my service appointment.

    Charger Won’t Lock Anymore

Hmm interesting, it’s definitely cold where I live (northern VA) and that might be it. Although I think I was able to pull it out, without pushing the release button, while charging. I’ll try that again and report back. Thanks!

    Anyone Ever Wrongfully Towed?

I’m curious about the drive train/motor damage due to wheels spinning while being improperly towed (not on a flat bed or dolly).

    Anyone Ever Wrongfully Towed?

Yeah but I guess that goes without saying. I’m just more curious about exactly what type of damage and what the aftermath would be if a Model 3 was towed. Maybe no one has been unfortunate enough to have that happen yet.
  12. T

    Anyone Ever Wrongfully Towed?

Just curious if anyone has been subject to their car being towed against their will and if it caused any damage due to the tow company’s negligence. I would assume that not all drivers know/understand the nuances of towing a Tesla and how much harm it could do if not done properly.

    Charger Won’t Lock Anymore

I used to hear the “lock” sound after plugging my WC into my car. Now it doesn’t lock, ever. Even if I lock my car and/or the car is actively charging; I can just pull the charger out without having to push the release button. I’ve read about this before and the solution was the little locking...

    Help! Rear Tint Question

About to get my Model 3 tinted and the shop I’m going to (TintFX in Vienna, VA) told me the only option available to get the rear window done in one piece is 3M Color Stable. Problem is I want to go with 3M Crystalline, which the shop told me they could do in 2 pieces. Not the end of the world...

Nail in tire and no service center

I guess just the common factors - the jacking is the main reason, but also the fact that Teslas aren’t exactly a dime a dozen in Virginia, yet. And I don’t want “mechanic joe” to be figuring out the nuances of staring/driving/parking/manipulating a Tesla via my Model 3. I called around and...

    Tire install DC/Nova Area

Another revive. I have a nail in my Model 3 and am having zero luck with Tesla service center availability. Any conclusions from this thread as to what shop in the NOVA area I can trust to handle a Tesla?

Nail in tire and no service center

Unfortunately no - on the app, the farthest date I can select is August 5 and Richmond is still the only service center that I can select/has “availability”.

Nail in tire and no service center

Live in Arlington, VA and got a nail in my tire. The Tyson’s Corner service center won’t let me book an appointment through the app (the closest I can get is is Richmond). Two questions: 1. Does anyone know if the Tyson’s service center is actually still open for service business? 2. Anyone...

    No WiFi? No problem!

True, and on a (sort of) unrelated tangent - I’ve had the same awful AT&T plan for as long as I can remember (4GB/month, 450 minutes, no mobile hotspot). After hearing some of the awesome plans my friends had, I called to AT&T to switch to Verizon. It turned out I had a completely outdated plan...

    No WiFi? No problem!

Yeah but my phone has LTE service just like my car does, so it’s stupid the maps wouldn’t just download on their own without the “WiFi” signal via my phone’s LTE. In other words, if an LTE signal eventually worked (via my phone), then the issue should have resolved itself without me having to...

    No WiFi? No problem!

Botton line up front: If your iPhone has tether/hotspot capability, you can link your Model 3's WiFi to it to "trick" the car into thinking it's on WiFi. Back story: I live in an apartment complex and have zero access to WiFi. I've tried driving around to stores/shops in my area to get on...

    Outdoor Cover Blew Off! Ugh!

Blew off...my colleague sent me a pic of it all bundled up beneath the car. Foul play isn’t really possible where I work. And everyone back home said it’s been crazy windy. Still disappointing to hear the cover didn’t hold strong.

    Outdoor Cover Blew Off! Ugh!

I’m on an extended work trip and a colleague just sent me a pic of my helpless car being exposed to the elements for God knows how long. Apparently the cover blew off. It doesn’t really get THAT windy in Virginia so I don’t know what gives. Has anyone else had a similar experience or have a...

    Supercharging Bug

When I supercharger, the “Current Session” cost/charge always indicates $0.00 (see bottom right of the screen). That amount remains indefinitely even though the location of last supercharge updates and my Tesla account updates and indicates the proper $ amount I was charged. Any ideas?

Poll: Model 3 Phone Key Failure Rate

Got my car yesterday and wanted to post a good-news story (sometimes I feel like only the ppl that have a bad experience are the ones that take the time to post - which was my case with delivery delays). I have an iPhone X and it works absolutely flawless as a key. I walk up, phone in pocket...

Tesla cancelled two consecutive Model 3 delivery appointments

I was in your boat with multiple cancelations from the Tysons, VA location. Finally got my car on the 4th attempt (sept 4th) and the car is amazing. Everything works perfect. Model 3 Tesla Car Cover

Tesla cancelled two consecutive Model 3 delivery appointments

Same boat. Waiting on my RWD Model 3 for delivery at Tysons in VA. About a month ago, got a call from my ISA with a VIN and delivery date of Aug 26. About 48 hours prior to the 26th, he changed it to the 27th. Then a rep from the Tysons location called me and said the 29th, no real explanation...

    Final cost question

About to go pick up my cashiers check and am confused on the amount I should put on it (and ISA won’t respond). The first page of my MVPA says the total cost is $57,500. On my order summary page (via my Tesla online account) says my estimated cost is $56,501. This is also the same amount on...

Anyone else get NO RECEIPTS after picking up your vehicle

    ChargePoint 3.3 kW Charger Question

Yeah I thought it was low too, especially for a brand new station...but that’s what it says on PlugShare (3.3). And I don’t have one at home...yet. Still fighting the HOA battle.

    ChargePoint 3.3 kW Charger Question

Anyone have any experience charging a Model 3 at the subject line? There’s 2 of these next door to my buiding and I’m curious about the mph charge rate (Google results are all over the map). If anyone’s curious - the charge is $1/hr for the first 3 hours, then $2.75/hr after that.

Does weight have an affect on range?

Page 55 of the M3 owner’s manual lists “Driving Tips to Maximize Range” and goes on to state “Lighten your load by removing any unnecessary cargo.” Has anyone had any real world experience with this? A quick google search denies this principle but I feel like the owner’s manual wouldn’t lie...
