We have an SL550 and a Model S. We love the Model S more, but the SL is WAY sexier. We will keep until Tesla comes up with a convertible we want. The Roadster is too small and utilitarian.

I am driving up to Vancouver, BC for a short business trip next week. Just north of the border my phone will switch from AT&T to Rogers Wireless. Has anyone driven their S outside of their home network yet? If so, what happens with your data connection?

Ohmslaw, I am going to assume that you are never going to request accessories from third party suppliers because of the Model S' market share, would that be correct? Anyway, I would be concerned if the people who were working on mobile apps were the same ones working on other engineering issues...

smd, could you post pictures of your interior with the linen mats? We have been trying to decide what color mats to with our tan interior.

Is there anyone out there with any contacts that can comment on whether there are plans to introduce a way to access the car other than the Android and IOS apps? The ones I would personally be interested in are Windows Phone Windows Web based.

A web app would have been even better. The functional part of the app is clearly server based. I think mobile development is great, but this my new pet peeve. Mobile developers seem less likely to separate business logic from presentation stuff. Supporting a new platform always involves "porting".

What I want to know is who is the product manager who said, "We don't need a Windows app, we will just make a couple of mobile apps"? The gymnastics that multiple owners are going through to make this app work on their computers was completely predictable. The omission is puzzling.

Bastards! :-) With my driving patterns it is clear that I only need the 40kwh battery. Now that I hear that the supercharging hardware is standard, I might have to upgrade myself. I am not sure I would be able to forego the extra acceleration with the smaller pack anyway.
