Has anyone found a stock vinyl material that is a very good match for the dash? Do we know what type of wood it is? Seems like it would be a fun little project.

Fixed... had a Software Developer coworker reformat the drive on his MacBook Pro and all is good. Something about my older Lenovo just didn’t work.

Nope, no such luck. It doesn’t like my thumb drives or the computer I formatted them with. I’ve tried various allocation sizes too. The drive works great everywhere but in my Tesla.

It worked fine until I used sentry mode the 2nd time, just to play with it at my office.

Not sure what you mean, but I have pressed it for 1 to 60 secs and it never blinks. Also, when your finger is on it you can’t really see it to know if it blinks. I made it work to see if it would blink, but nope. I even did a hard and soft reboot in the car. Still “x”

My sandisk iXpand 32GB worked fine before the 5.4 update. Now it shows the “x” and pressing the dash cam button does nothing. I reformatted Fat32 and still nothing. Is there a specific allocation size that works with the car? The drive works fine in my computer and directly connected to my iPhone.

Has anyone compared the ecohitch to the other hitch from Stealth Hitch? The receiver looks nicer in the Stealth and it’s lighter, but I don’t love what looks like a change to the mounting of the crash beam. Looks like it only has half the bolts loaded in shear in a crash (2 per side, not 4).

100% agree. I just don’t see myself doing an option that doesn’t look clean once it’s removed as during the non-winter months I won’t leave on the rack, as I only carry bikes with a hitch tray rack unless I’m using the truck.

Seeing this in Utah the last few days as well as there are finally starting to be more 3’s around here, but fully plateless.

When my VIN disappeared my car had been taken by another DES. My guy then stole it back. Contact them directly if you can, or avoid the craziness of this weekend and just get your car in a week or so. Personally, I was ok either way until I had a loan against the VIN, then I became possessive :)

...and now they moved me to a Sat 9/29 delivery. FYI - If you saw your VIN disappear, Sept delivery may be your only option to avoid a reassignment. If I didn’t have a loan to that VIN I might have just let my delivery slip later in October.

VIN is back and still 90xxx so no need to deal with the bank and fix the loan. So far, working with the person at my delivery location has been very positive. He seems like a rock star!

Have you spoken to a human at your delivery location? If not, call them and verify the appointment. Otherwise, it’s just part of the SOP they have going right now with very late finalization of details.
