Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
I'm bummed I missed some meetups recently! Are there any others planned before winter sets in? Also, would someone please provide the link to the FB group that's been mentioned? It's exciting to read about so many people receiving their cars. :)
I still haven't received the wireless charging pad. It was supposed to ship out last week. Hopefully it'll be worth the wait!
I also had an excellent experience with Tesla's mobile service team recently. Bob came out to fix a rear seatbelt that was factory-installed with a twist...
Apparently the first mandatory stop for Challenge participants was at Stuhr Museum here in GI. I wish I would have taken some pictures/video. Very cool!
Congratulations on your new car! Post a pic when you can! Don't be surprised if soon, when attempting to drive someone else's car, you turn on their windshield wipers while trying to put it into drive, LoL... I may or may not be speaking from recent experience. :p
I have EAP as well, and I...
You can daisy-chain up to 4 Wall Connectors to share - with the aid of a distribution box - a single connection from your circuit breaker. Obviously, each Wall Charger you add gives you the ability to charge another vehicle. You cannot daisy-chain with a mobile connector because it's not...
50 is such a small number!
When it comes to Wall Connector charging, 20% of the amperage output from your fuse box is lost in the conversion from AC to DC. Given that, the 3's maximum DC-converted charging amperage is 48A. I *think* I have seen it at 45 mi/hr, but the stated max charging...
Absolutely! Will do.
Speaking of charging and reviews, I can highly recommend the Tesla Wall Connector. I have it running on an 80A connection (overkill for the Model 3), but that amperage gives a minimum of 40 m/hr charge regardless of whether it's charging an S/3/X.
P.S. I'm jealous of...
Thank you! I'm pretty happy with it even with the front plate. :D
Just in case there are Model 3 owners who haven't seen this, there is a third party company making a wireless charging pad for the 3. Mine is supposed to arrive in a week or two. They've hinted they're going to come out with...
This is correct per my conversation with the DMV, but there are a couple additional caveats. You can only add single plate at the time of registration, and apparently they need to hear that your car did not come from the factory with a built-in front plate holder.
In my case, I'll need to wait...
I did chat with the driver. I was the last stop on his delivery schedule that day. He made multiple deliveries in the Omaha/Lincoln area, and then he actually delivered a Model S to someone in my neighborhood right before delivering mine. Go figure.
I've only seen Teslas on open carriers as...
Hey all,
Model 3 owner out in Grand Island here. I preordered online, sight unseen (before the reveal event started), and I finally took delivery on May 18th. I opted for home delivery, and Tesla didn't disappoint - covered delivery trailer and everything.
It's. Amazing. I'll upload a...
