Power seat switch broken! $1.10 for the part. 6 minutes to replace.

Update: Tesla sent Mobile Service out yesterday and repaired it for free! Replaced entire motor since they can't pull that pin out either. Was pleasantly suprised!

Power seat switch broken! $1.10 for the part. 6 minutes to replace.

Someone just broke the same switch - horizontal switch on passenger seat. It broke so that some of the pin is still attached inside the hole/trim and I have been unable to remove it. The controls themselves are fine. I can use a small screwdriver to operate the seat. Here's hoping Tesla can assist.

    Cones on 2020.12.5 and HW2.5

Same for me! Lots of false positives. I drove by the Cohen's house today - nothing.

2019.8.3 — still no range boost?

Same here. Just got 8.5. There's a mention of the power boost, but not the range.

Same experience here. 8.3 LR RWD with 310 max still.

FSD Challenges - Things that make it so hard to do...

Good point. I should have posted there. Apologies.

FSD Challenges - Things that make it so hard to do...

I think so too. I just can't wrap my head around true FSD where the driver can completely ignore what's happening, road-wise. I REALLY want it to happen, but the devil is in the details (i.e. the fringe cases)

FSD Challenges - Things that make it so hard to do...

Good examples. There's SO MANY one-off occurrences. I have trouble seeing the car handling this without some sort of human intervention. I hope I'm wrong.

FSD Challenges - Things that make it so hard to do...

YES on the double parked! I was leaving my neighborhood this weekend and there was a truck completely blocking my side of the street. I had to drive onto the other side. How is that going to work??

FSD Challenges - Things that make it so hard to do...

On my way to work each day, I think how, like many things, the devil is in the details for FSD. I'm really curious how FSD is going to be able to recognize and handle: School Bus Pickup / Drop off: How to know to stop at the right place and wait until the right time to start. If there's other...

2019.8.3 First release of traffic light detection?

I think you need to hold the card upside down, aligned with true north and tap the T, S, and A letters at the same time - that should start the summon. :-)

Software Version 2018.50.6 - No new features

Just got it too. 2018.50.6. Nothing new in the release notes: Cold Weather Improvements, Keep Climate On, Romance, Yadda Yadda.

    Slower charging with 42.3?

Thanks - reporting 120V, 16A, as expected. I'll keep an eye on it. Hoping it is a rounding issue.

    Slower charging with 42.3?

Thanks, but nope - hit 58F here one night. Cold for us Floridians, but not exactly something that should impact the battery I'd say. Hit 80F today...

    Slower charging with 42.3?

I am, but that I've been using it since day one (well, day two). The only change was the software update.

    Slower charging with 42.3?

Hello! I received 42.3 last week. I charge on a 20A 120V connection with the 5-20 adapter from Tesla. Up until 42.3, the app reported 7 miles per hour. Now, the app is reporting 6 miles per hour of charge. While this isn't TOO big of a deal (19 miles round trip to work) I was wondering if...

Splitter Cable for both USB Dashcam and Charge Phone

Got the hub yesterday, installed it when I got home from work. I can confirm that the hub has supported simultaneous wired charging of my iPhone 7 and recording to the dashcam!

Splitter Cable for both USB Dashcam and Charge Phone

SWEET! That's great news - thank you! Just ordered the 3-port USB 3.0 version. I'll report back in a few days when it arrives.

Splitter Cable for both USB Dashcam and Charge Phone

That's good news! Are you charging your iPhone X via wireless or wired? I have an iPhone 7, so I want to make sure it works with wired charging.

Splitter Cable for both USB Dashcam and Charge Phone

Thanks! I think where we are right now is that no one knows for sure if you can use a splitter to charge an iPhone via plug (not wireless) and for the dash cam. Waiting to see if anyone has that solution working. (I'm also dealing with the corruption issue now. Yay.)

Thanks - report back. Curious to see the results!

Splitter Cable for both USB Dashcam and Charge Phone

That's what is confusing to me. In the item you linked to (the rotatable 3-port hub), it says "This 3-Port USB 3.0 Hub will not charge your devices, it will only sync."

Splitter Cable for both USB Dashcam and Charge Phone

I'm Yup. I pretty much get the feeling that you just can't power a USB flash drive and AND charge an iPhone from the same front port.

Splitter Cable for both USB Dashcam and Charge Phone

So you plugged in a hub on the right, and attached: 2 USB Drives Another Nomad And the hub is powering everything? Interesting. Agreed with what others said: Would love to know what hub you bought! Thanks!

Splitter Cable for both USB Dashcam and Charge Phone

Good point - I think it is questionable if the splitter I linked to will charge an iPhone (which is what I need). The comments don't look too encouraging. The other splitter mentioned here definitely won't. Hmm. Wonder if the port can handle it.

Splitter Cable for both USB Dashcam and Charge Phone

Got V9 for my Model 3 this morning - sweet! With my family, having the ability to charge two phones at once in the front is nice. I was wondering if I could use a USB splitter cable to have BOTH the USB storage for the dashcam AND power the second port for charging. I am looking at something...

    Beach Road Trip...bad idea?

6 days after purchase, 120 miles to the beach for the weekend, then back 2 days later. Go for it - no problems other than the constant desire to summon up the instant torque!

    Rear license plate screw stripped?

Whoa. The same exact issue here - took off the temp (paper) tag and the plastic anchor/nut just spun and spun. Fortunately, Tesla attached the temp tag with just the top two screws, so I attached the real plate with the bottom screws. My plan is to have it taken care of next time I'm at the...
