"Cabin Camera Unavailable" Kills FSD. AP Okay.

Yeah I am not paying $1200 to fix this issue if that is what needs to be done. There should be a recall or something for defective parts like this. I would probably consult some sort of lawyer and see what he thinks of it. I wonder how many of us are affected? My 2018 m3p only has 2k miles it’s...

"Cabin Camera Unavailable" Kills FSD. AP Okay.

Thanks for the update. I’m a little confused on version number. Just downloaded the 2023.44.30.14 yesterday. So does that mean we are not even on the 2024 branch yet? And they are just internally testing 2024.2 as you said? Have the same intermittent issue as all of you in this thread on my...

Anyone on MPP and THEN added swaybars? Any improvements?

Agreed! Thank you for stating that in a much more clear and comprehensive way than I tried to earlier. I knew read that sways affect L/R independence and going to aggressive and be counterproductive to total grip. I like what Dolemite said earlier feeling fast/cornering flat. Is different than...

Anyone on MPP and THEN added swaybars? Any improvements?

It is possible that it may be too stiff for your use case. I am waiting for MPP sway bar solution as I am sure it is designed to work with their kits. I am sure they will have recommendations for what combos/settings work best for street and or track. From my limited research. I read going...

Sway Bars, End Links, and Rear Control Arms Installation & Impression

I am just hoping for some teflon lined bushings like H&R does with their sways. I don’t want to have to regrease bushings if I can help it. Squeaking poly bushings are the worst.

Awesome really looking forward to how you differentiate your swaybars and give it that MPP touch! Maybe just in time for Black Friday too? 😬

Hey just wondering if you had any updates on your MPP sway bars? 😇 I know they were pushed into 2021 last I heard. So maybe soon? Dying to see how these integrate with the other MPP products to dial in my ideal sporty street setup.

California Personalized Plate ordering is back

Interesting. I wonder if I can reserve plates for future cars like the cybertruck. I don’t know if the dmv does this directly anymore? I guess I could just order and transfer. But that seems like a pain too.

California Personalized Plate ordering is back

Interesting didn’t know that aaa were allowed to order vanity plates. How is the process different or improved from the dmv site? Do they tell you what is available?

Vendor Official Apex Wheels Thread - Tesla Model 3

Hey! Finally you guys are on here I knew you would have to make model 3 wheels eventually. Don’t know if Ryan M. still works there but I loved my apex wheels on my e46 and e46 m3. Pretty sure my car picture is floating around somewhere on your site still. I know you guys usually work with...

    Model 3 Performance Spacers

Nice. Yeah I’m in the same boat. I want to see what the official Öhlins R/T kit looks like when it comes out next year. From my experience with BMWs usually it’s well thought out and very nicely equipped with rubber isolators for the springs etc. They also have really nice R&D equipment to test...

@NXN7 perfect fit! Good call on shaving the studs. Been thinking about that myself for a while now. Looks well worth it. What kind of drop do you have?

    Track pack is here!

Honestly seems about right to me. I wouldn’t be that harsh. My e46 m3 with “competition” package came with larger 19 inch rims that were flow formed (front weight 26.1lbs rear 27.3lbs) made by BBS no less. Then upgraded rotors drilled/floating rotors that weren’t amazing on track and would crack...

Any way to get safely on 4 jack stands?

Hey @Dolemite did you take down the video? Pretty cool idea to mod the rennstands. I think I might do these to mine as well. Also the picture describing the problem in your first post is broken. @Daniellane did you ever mod yours? How do you like it after? @Dolemite Just curious what are your...

Tesla removed auto-dimming for side mirrors with June 2020 cars.

How did you go about ordering the OEM Euro Mirrors? I was bugging my parts guy last year about it but he had like no clue what I wanted or how to order it. If you had a part number or something I could give them maybe it would help!

    Model 3 Performance Spacers

To each their own I love the look of the 15mm especially if lowered. I believe you gain some camber? I’m sure 10mm/12mm looks great also. My friend has 20mm up front and to me that is just a little too much. I was actually considering going with some 17mm HR spacers if the 15mm don’t work. 5mm...

    Model 3 Performance Spacers

@Cyclone1 thanks for that info. Anyone consider taking out some material on the recesses? I mean if some wheels have it deeper than others I assume it should be fine. Doesn’t even have to be the whole area just the parts where the studs contact. Considering people redrill wheels for different...

Sway Bars, End Links, and Rear Control Arms Installation & Impression

Yup I am aware of SPL. Thanks for the tip. However I am much more into the MPP ethos of lower NVH and longer lasting suspension components with their sealed bearings. This will be a primarily street driven car from past experiences tuning a few bimmers. I want sealed bearings for the street...

Sway Bars, End Links, and Rear Control Arms Installation & Impression

Black gets my #1 vote but I would be ok with Silver as well. I would honestly pay extra for an OE+ looking set. Not really into the loud colors on my suspension parts. Black bushings too please!! Worse comes to worse I can powder-coat the bars but a colored bushing and I’m screwed lol What...

Vendor NEW: MPP Model 3 Comfort Adjustable Coilovers RWD/AWD!

Those wheels give me like a FIKSE vibe from the dimples around the perimeter. Then also sorta like a M3 CSL mesh style design. @MountainPass you should really collaborate with Apex Wheels. They just released a new forged lineup that is pretty awesome for the price ($2k-ish for a set) in the...

Another very happy MPP Sport coil over owner

Suspension looks great! Debating between these and the Ohlins. I have KW V2's on my bmw m3 and have always wanted an Ohlins R/T kit. I really like the things that MPP does and their support of the platform though. Probably think about it for a couple more months. Why didn't the spacers fit in...

IKON Motorsports Front Lip for Model 3: A Review

kpeng wow that really brings me back to my E46 days. Just had to drop in here to say that. Oh and the lip looks pretty decent actually. I have been waiting on the sidelines for something good to come out. It’s still very early in the aftermarket cycle for this car. Much like in the early e46...

From order to delivery in 8 days?!

Ok so I have an update. Ordered 9/15 they want to deliver to my house this Saturday 9/22. That is like a 6-7 day turn around for a P+. I really don’t think I’m ready. Who do you tell that you want to decline the delivery? The delivery center or the advisor? Both have contacted me in the past...

From order to delivery in 8 days?!

Oh I see. Thanks for that info! In the initial text message from my DS she asked me to complete the rest of my profile and "has me on schedule for delivery next week" and "have limited appointments available." Whatever that means. So I hope I haven't been assigned a VIN? I suspect they are...

From order to delivery in 8 days?!

Same thing happened to me ordered a P3D+ on 9/15 called yesterday to expect delivery next week. Ugh I don't even know if I am ready. Does this effect anything? I ordered mine with free supercharging. I don't want delaying my delivery to negate that. Otherwise I wouldn't mind pushing it back a...

    Referrals on Model 3 don't exist !!

Wow I feel a little bit better after reading this thread. I placed my order for a P3 yesterday and am experiencing the same problems. I followed a referral link and everything. Interesting that Tesla is not setup for the referrals on model 3. I hope they get all this sorted out soon. I was...

glass roof - production change (July 2018)?

Don’t forget about the what magic engine oil can fix the problem! Seriously can’t wait to sell my bmw m3. There seems to always been some critical problem you must be monitoring. Oil tests for rod bearing wear, VANOS tabs breaking nuking the engine, subframe cracks... and the list goes on. What...

glass roof - production change (July 2018)?

Why do you constantly have to flame people on this thread? It’s quite annoying. Some of us just want to know why the change was implemented. If it was or not a mistake in production. If it is we bring it to their attention and get it fixed. It’s possible a supplier did no product a batch...

glass roof - production change (July 2018)?

I said this earlier. Someone in the Bay Area in Fremont reach out or drive to Premier Mobile Group. They have the tools the measure this and probably have tinted more Tesla’s than any other high end shop. If I lived closer I would drive there myself. Heck I might give them a call or email if no...

glass roof - production change (July 2018)?

Yes please keep digging! I just want to know if this batch was made in error or not. If it is a permanent change on Tesla’s part I will be fine with it. Bummed but I’ll live.

glass roof - production change (July 2018)?

Yes very interested in what they have to say about this. If they have/had a bad batch I hope they fix it soon. Replacing the rear glass would be a pain.

glass roof - production change (July 2018)?

Hmmm... I wonder if they just didn’t have time to apply the coating during the production rush? Or maybe there was a batch that didn’t get it. I am fine if they improved the tech and is just no longer visable. But until I see it tested I am just going to say they have stopped or forgot to...

Orange County/SoCal - Chrome Delete Group Buy

I think it has all to do with price. At least it is for me. Even at GB price 580 I don’t think I could swollow it. I got a quote from my body shop that they would paint all my trims for 1k in gloss black. Which is only a little more than these wrap prices. What did he wrap on your bmw m3? I...

Ceramic Coated my PM3 and forgot about the spoiler/badge install. What to do?

I think I said the same thing in the first post lol :p But I agree. It’s pretty simple. Especially if OP had the know how it apply a coating in the first place.

Ceramic Coated my PM3 and forgot about the spoiler/badge install. What to do?

If you want to be safe polish those areas to remove the coating. Then clean with something like Gyeon Prep or IPA. After install you can just recoat any areas that remain exposed.

    White Paint Bumper mismatch

I really wonder why they decided to design the rear end like they did. Why does the bumper have to come up the the tail light? I’m sure there was a reason but it’s the first time I have encountered on a sedan. If the bumper just had a horizontal line like most cars I don’t think this issue would...

    White Paint Bumper mismatch

Agreed I would only want a factory painted replacement. It seems to match pretty well at the middle of the bumper and wheel arch areas. It’s noticeable under the tail lights. I’m really not sure how much better or how close they can’t get. Since I just think it’s due to the hard line where...

Damn I thought bmw and ///M tax was bad. What do you wrap on your ///m3 it comes with blacked out trim? I had him do my 330 before I sold it to get my ///m3. Orange County/SoCal - Chrome Delete Group Buy

Wow Don has gotten a lot more expensive since I used him for my BMW. It was only ~200 back in the day. 950 normal price holy crap!! I mean his wrap on my BMW was pretty good. I had to go back once since he stretched the vinyl a little too much and it shrunk back and exposed the chrome trim. He...
