You can keep using your car, however you will need to resubmit a new trade in quote after 30 days. It is recommended to submit a trade in request once a delivery date is secured, that way the quote price will be secured.

Once you take delivery and drive off, insurance companies have no knowledge of what you do to your car until you get into an accident. I can remove my mirrors on my my Model X and my insurance company would have no idea. They have no visible knowledge of what you vehicle looks like outside the VIN.

For the US, manufacturers are required by law to ship cars with mirrors, however it is not illegal for owners to remove the mirrors. It’s not illegal to have no mirrors. Only that your supposed to have them when taking delivery.

Most likely yes. Model Y and Model 3 both sell well over 80,000 deliveries in a quarter. Limiting the new abilities to just S/X which combined only sell 20,000 or less. With Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 launching next month, I’d say by March/April is new MCU
