I went through a lengthy arbitration with Tesla. Horrible how they treated me. They paid a hefty price for it. There was no NDA. see my other other post for detail.

The yellow border around the Instrument Cluster was one of my issues during the arbitration. Tesla’s expert testified that he had not seen a fix for it as of 9/2019

Thank you, I found the thread. To be fair, I would understand if Tesla wanted to ban certain customers, including me, from purchasing another Tesla. In their eyes we complain about nothing and in our eyes they have a serious customer service and quality issues.

I think the technology is great. No one can compete with Tesla’s technology. If they change their customer service culture and pay more attention to the actual car. Yes I will come back.

My car was purchased through the website and the arbitration took about 1.5 years since they did not want to settle with me. The car had about 20K on it at the time the judgement was issued. It had 5 miles when it was purchased.

Besides having to pay for the entire msrp of the car including registration etc. they also had to pay other penalties. It needed up costing them significantly more than the actual msrp of the car at the time of purchase.

So sorry for delayed response - I decided to hold on to the wheels for now.

Just heard, from the service rep in calif, today that Tesla will not be replacing the screens for the yellow border but instead, starting sometime in July, they will use ultraviolet light to burn the monitor which will make the yellow border less visible to the human eye.

I upgraded to 2018.24.1 It worked fine for about 2 min of Bluetooth voice call but then the problem came back. Unpaired and paired again and restarted the car (reboot). Same issue.

I think the only thing they, Slacker, has done well is picking an appropriate name for their company.

Noticed that if you mute the phone while the other person is talking, they don’t hear the echo. This means there is something wrong with Tesla’s system no cancelling the other persons voice automatically and hence creating the echo effect.

Update: Tesla mobile service came to my house today. They verified/duplicated the problem and after some testing they said the Bluetooth mics (2 of them) should be replaced. The tech had the mics and replaced both. The tech said my old mics were picking up the speaker instead of canceling...

Does anyone else flash their HighBeam, frequently, by accident when trying to engage the autopilot? The location of the autopilot lever, directly bellow the HighBeam lever, is, I think, annoying.
