My LR RWD was only $64k minus the $14k rebate, so about $50k. If anything his price seems high.

I don't think there will be a mad rush to put a deposit down on the Y. The only reason I, and I assume many others, lined up was to make sure we received the rebate. For the most part, that's no longer the case.

The really scary part is that pilots spend years training to use these systems. Imagine millions of people who can't even be bothered to read the manual.

Depends on the outside temperature. I was parked for a week plugged into 120v at -20c, and the charge dropped about 5-10km per day and then totally stopped charging when it dropped to -24c.

I agree with the second poster. My rx450 is leaps and bounds better than my RWD 3 in snow, both with snow tires. They aren’t even in the same league.

Before buying my 3, I did a lot of research on the impact of cold temps on range. From that research I was expecting about a 40% loss of range, so your results are right in the ballpark. Good to know.

I personally find driving my 3 in snow with winter tires (Michelin X-Ice) marginal at best, I can’t even imagine trying all seasons. As good as the traction control system electronics are, you can’t change physics. You are trying to push a VERY heavy car with just the rear wheels, which doesn’t...

I’m looking for a Gen 1 Mobile Connector for my 3. The one that comes with the 3 keeps tripping the GFCI at work and apparently the Gen 1 doesn’t seem to have this problem. If anyway is interested in selling theirs or trading for my Gen 2, please let me know. Thanks

Thanks for the suggestions guys. These are dedicated electric vehicle plugs in a parking garage, so they should work fine. The last time it happened I noticed another Model 3 in the next stall had the same problem. It’s definitely the GFCI and Model 3 related.

Anyone else having problems charging at 110 volts on a GFCI plug? I have access to the plug described above while at work, but the GFCI keeps tripping after a couple of hours. I’ve tried lowering the amps to as low as 8, but it didn’t help.

Did you have auto high beams selected on the screen as well?

If he does that he will lose the tax savings on the trade in, effectively costing him 13% more on whatever the trade-in value of the S is. Depending on the trade-in value and what he can sell it for privately it might not be worth it.

That seems strange to me that you got an invite and I haven't. I lined up at 5:00 in the morning first day. I would have assumed that would put me ahead of non-owners who put their deposits down online.

Thanks for the update. Did you happen to notice what the finance terms would be? Debating between paying cash and financing. I'm a Day 1 (5 am) reservation holder and can't wait.
