I also have the Yakima SwingDaddy on my X. I will say that I really struggle to get 4 bikes on there, though. Three is doable, four requires a good amount of finagling.... I've been looking at the Kuat, but that is a beast. :)

Call me crazy, but it seems reasonable that before condemning the yoke as a horrible solution, it would make sense to try it out at least. Generally Tesla has a pretty good record of getting things right in the UI dept., imho.

Call me a fanboy (well, I do have an X and a M3P), but I have found that Tesla is usually right when it comes to ergonomics. They nail it. It's not always obvious from photos, but when you experience the car, the interface, it generally all makes sense and works well. Buying a $90K vehicle sight...

I guess they could extend it if you have a second paired phone and enable auto-present on the passenger side as well. Eg, my wife's phone.

Probably similar to how it works today. Double-tap key fob, so likely a button in the app. Auto-presenting is Driver door only based on bluetooth triangulation.

IMHO, I would avoid early Model Xs. I have a 2018 and have driven 2016s. There were many improvements made incrementally so I would opt for the most recent model you can afford that meets your needs. Don't be seduced by the Performance model. :) Timely video from Ben Sullins on his 2016 Model...

Browsing on an MCU2 car is quite snappy with reasonable performance. I imagine folks are using TeslaWaze, among other sites.

Quick update: This morning after jumping in the car, we were still somewhere floating off the west coast, but after driving a minute the GPS location corrected itself. Seems good now!

Thanks guys, as it happens, it would appear that although I have a 200A breaker on the main panel, the input from the PoCo to my home may be 125A. There is a 1/0 gauge wire coming in which apparently carries a max of 125A. Not sure why there's a 200A breaker!
