    Powerwall doesn't charge to 100%

Well, I'll apologize, because in this case, the call was 100% the right answer. I was on the phone for 12 minutes, and yes, they are open 24/7 (but they definitely do not advertise this number easily! I could not find this number anywhere but here). So thank you! Interestingly, they already...

    Powerwall doesn't charge to 100%

Difference of opinion here for sure! My concern is about me saving time and convenience, and has nothing to do with the company saving money, or time, or anything. I detest spending lots of time on the phone, or chat - I have other things to do. I have plenty of 5 minute windows throughout...

    Powerwall doesn't charge to 100%

Thank you! this is what I've been looking for. their website, and the app, certainly make it appear that Chat is the way to do it. My preference is by email - any chance you have an email address that works?

    Powerwall doesn't charge to 100%

Seems the only chance to contact them is via chat between 8 am and 2 pm Pacific. nuts. I did a full system reset, no effect. Hopefully they can fix it.

    Powerwall doesn't charge to 100%

Yup. Validated my theory. The only material difference between what I'll call the "bad" one and the others are a) nominal_energy_remaining is 0, b) p_out is -10 (although you can see there's one with 10, so I have no idea if this is relevant) and backup_ready is false. Could of questions...

    Powerwall doesn't charge to 100%

I just thought about the number. 83 is 5/6 of 100. I have 6 powerwalls. I wonder if one is offline. All of their green lights are on though

    Powerwall doesn't charge to 100%

    That's been set. It's like it sees 82% as the new 100 - here's today's chart

    Powerwall doesn't charge to 100%

I want my powerwall to provide backup power. I live in Austin where there is no benefit whatsoever of using my powerwalls for any other purpose - we have no time of use or better times to sell power, etc. We actually have a system designed to dissuade solar use, but I digress. Prior to last...

    Off Peak Charging

Resurrecting this thread, because I am just remembering how stupid this is... I live in Austin, (Elon's new home town) and have EV360 - a program which is flat rate $30 if you charge between 7 pm and 2 pm - you pay premium rates if you charge between 2pm and 7pm - so we have a single "peak"...

    Solar Roof, big price increase

Just signed my "new" confirmation at the original price... We'll see how this plays out now

Just saw that article. I got the following email on Tuesday: Haven't seen the updated price yet.

    Solar Roof, big price increase

I have not received any email or text or call, but I'm wanting to hear who does and what the situation is with that. Their estimator is clearly not working properly. I put in my address, and say my bill is $400 a month, and they say I need a 42kW roof with 4 powerwalls for ~ $170k. I am...

    Solar Roof, big price increase

Sorry....not sure what happened there. Correct link: Tesla has been hit with a class-action lawsuit over its Solar Roof price hikes, led by customer who says his contract got jacked up from $71,000 to $146,000

    Solar Roof, big price increase

Anyone know how to join the class action lawsuits popping up? Seems there's a new one in California: https://www-businessinsider-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/www.businessinsider.com/tesla-solar-roof-cost-lawsuit-second-suit-class-action-2021-5

This is interesting. I wonder if it's because you haven't signed, and I have.

    Solar Roof, big price increase

You know what, that was stupid of me... yes, that includes 6 powerwalls. Also - I can certainly heat my pool with cheap natural gas, but I'm trying to work toward a greener approach!

    Solar Roof, big price increase

After incentives, the sunpower system was $90k (not including the underlying roof) and the new Tesla roof is $138K. I think we don't get a lot of incentives in Texas!🤣

    Solar Roof, big price increase

I'm in Austin, TX... we get rather a lot of sun. And the electrical engineer who designed my system does not believe it will cover either of my two cars or my pool heat pump.

    Solar Roof, big price increase

Thanks for the synopsis of the call. Very helpful. Regarding your comment here, I'm not sure where you're getting your numbers. I'm putting a whole new story on my house, and therefore brand new roof. For me, the Tesla roof, covering 4306 SF, with 17.31 kW of power is now coming in at $170K...

    Solar Roof, big price increase

People seem a bit confused about the powerwall incentive. Since I already signed my new agreement, I think I got a slightly different email (I was worried they would not offer me the deal, since I'd already signed, but I guess they, like me, realized that then I could likely claim actual...

    Solar Roof, big price increase

Pretty sure the reason for this new email is what my attorney stated above - if you've completed work that will not be beneficial for another suitable replacement then that would likely be considered real damages. I highly doubt a new AC unit would fall into that category. Can't harm to try...

    Solar Roof, big price increase

Talked to my advisor. Same as everyone else. Too bad. You can cancel it and get your $100 back or sign the new agreement. The whole thing is sickening.

    Solar Roof, big price increase

One of the reasons I went with the solar roof was that the quote for this came in much higher!

    Solar Roof, big price increase

Just realized the new agreement breaks it down differently (click the tiny text that says "Energy Products Purchase Agreement" under the net cost. It's now broken down as: Roof Material (comes out to $6.54 / sf) Roof Labor ($12.70 /sf) Solar Roof Material ($1266.185 / kW) Solar Roof Labor...

    Solar Roof, big price increase

Interestingly, if the "roof" price does not change, then the Solar Roof portion becomes just slightly over $6600 per kW ($6602.004, but I know there's a rounding issue in their agreement), which seems much more likely (Tesla tends to work in round numbers).

    Solar Roof, big price increase

I'm curious about this $14/sf. Does anyone have anything official on this? My contract has a roof price (which is exactly $5.60 per square foot - it appears to be based on the total square feet of my roof, rather than just the non-solar portion), a Solar Roof price ($2,650.018 per kW), and...

Yes, that clause is in there. Any benefit in NOT opting out? (also trying to get ahold of my lawyer!)

    Solar Roof, big price increase

I did speak with my attorney. Here is what she said: I doubt there's much you can do, since the contract really lets them change the price for any reason, and you have the opportunity to cancel. You'd have to show that your reliance on having this particular solar roof installed caused you...

    Solar Roof, big price increase

I placed my order in October 2019. My price (17kWh roof, 6 powerwalls) went from $110k to $170k. My reservation was placed in October 2019. The design and final price of $110k was agreed and signed in late March of this year, so clearly "increased price as a result of the pandemic" is not...

Austin Energy EV charging station rebate

Anyone participate in this now? I just got the agreement, and wow, 1500 takes a lot of commitment... That B clause in particular... My car battery is going to be a supplier on the grid??? what? By accepting the Rebate, Participant agrees that: A. Austin Energy may, in its sole discretion...
