Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
My Model S clearly gets wet (and muddy) in the "front motor area" under the frunk tub, and there is superficial corrosion on some surfaces.
Rich Rebuilds (You Tube etc) suggests that it is perfectly safe to pressure wash all the components hidden under the frunk tub. We all know he's brave (and...
You should be aware of one potential problem: for years I used my local council MOT centre, where I got to know the tester well. Council sites are excellent - they have no vested interest in finding profitable irrelevant faults with your car.
My tester was keen to undertake his first Tesla...
I am trying to remove the bench rear seat from my 2015 Model S, but cannot find a method which doesn't risk breaking something. I believe the seat is Generation 2, pictured here:
My research suggests the seat is secured by a pair of metal hoops at the seat edge engaging with nylon inserts...
Very interesting: I had used the original Crawley site several times - very helpful crew. I visited soon after the fire and spoke with one of the skeleton staff clearing up. Apparently the fire didn't involve any vehicles or batteries.
Subsequent web-news suggested a new site was in the offing...
Tesla Crawley had a serious fire six months ago. I spoke to them at the time and they expected to repair and re-open.
However, today I see the site is abandoned and boarded up. Tesla UK can tell me nothing useful.
Does anyone know what plans might be afoot to give owners in the south-east any...
I have a Model S - most fun car I've ever owned.
Would love to see a Roadster - I am based near Caterham, Surrey.
If you are interested in showing yours off, I'd be very pleased to hear from you.

I have found identical white unused connectors near both front door pillars (Model S 2016).
There is another white unused connector (B) on the right side, and an interesting maroon-colored connector (C)
I understand the fuse-box on the right side is an extra that comes with the winter package...
Having read all these posts and various warnings: if you have fitted a skinny wheel or any similar alternatives, would it not be a good idea to turn on - for those models which have it - "CHILL” mode. This seems to about halve the kWh used at full throttle, and the car drives with clearly less...
New owner, still learning . . .
The advice with a dead key fob is to place it "near passenger side wiper". I understand it should communicate using NFC technology.
I have tried all over the windscreen base and can't get any response. In a UK spec car, should it be the nearside or offside...
There have been numerous updates to the vehicle over the past few years. Does the on-screen manual get revised with each new feature?
Is it possible to print the on-screen manual (via my home wi-fi)?

I am seeing several used Model s's this week with a view to purchase. While I think I understand the battery display, I need some advice.
The display shows the current mileage etc - but only I think in the current state of charge. If I see a vehicle showing - say - 50% battery charge, is there...
