Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
Per my research it seems as if Slacker did not update their domain name. Slacker hasn’t been working at all. Not on internet, app or our cars. Hopefully if gets rectified soon!
For those who are receiving their cars soon and saying that they are refusing, can you tell us if you actually do. I would be curious about the number of people who refuse because of this.
i agree with everything you said. I bought the car a few weeks ago, because i love driving it. New things are always coming down the pike and it has to start and stop somewhere
So picking up my MS today. I know that somewhere in this thread is a program to run on the system. Could someone get me that info so after I go through the process and after having a joy ride, i can run the program. I will most likely know when they are going through the car, but I could then...
They had a car with the options I wanted (less the $4.5k wheels) per my dealership. I put the money down and it was built the following week. Not sure how they did it or why, but i may get the car on Thursday as long as BMW holds up their end with end of lease stuff.
So I have a pick up scheduled for Thursday! So excited. Now if only BMW's lease department could work a little faster. Turning it in a little early and there are so many hoops to jump through. Most likely will delay my Tesla pickup until Saturday because of it. Oh well I wish Tesla had given me...
Thanks for the offer. I used a friends referral already. I’d been on the fence for a year or so and driving his X and seeing how it drove made me jump into the Tesla famlily.
I actually have the vin. But it was a weird situation as I was going to order and wait until June for delivery. Sales called and had a car with the specs I wanted except it had the $4500 rims. I asked to have rims switched out. They said they could and then told me car was scheduled for...
Thanks for the response. I get this under the car:
“You will be contacted by a Tesla delivery specialist to arrange for payment and delivery of your Model S.”
So I was told it was to be built last week. So maybe soon.
So I have been following this thread for a bit and I finally went and test drove a MS. Loved the car and put down the money and am waiting for it. Where on the Tesla page do you see the updates on the car such as “in production” or “finished production”.
Thanks and I am anxiously awaiting...
The area is rural WI. So the only plug I would be able to use is their outdoor outlet which is nothing other than a regular outlet.
Thanks for the replies
Newer member. I just got my VIN on a 75D Model S and had a question regarding traveling.
Which, if any, extension cords do you bring with your Tesla when you travel? I am traveling to a friends house who lives in the country and no where near a super charger. What would you use to charge...
Hello all!
When those who have gotten a loan through Tesla, did you get a lower interest rate if you paid 10% down. I thought I read another forum say it.
Also has anyone found a better deal with going outside Tesla’s financing.
I also have State Farm and their quote was $126 more per 6...
I'm probably going with the darker 19's. I'm torn with chosing. Like the blue for being different, but have already owned 4 blue cars. No silver car yet.
I have made the decision to go with the 2018 Model S 75D. I have narrowed the car to 2 color options: Midnight Silver and Deep Blue Metallic. I will then have the white interior.
To all those with those 2 color combinations I would love to see pics. I have scoured YouTube and watched many...
Hi I am new to the forums and currently am investigating a few things. I am a few weeks out from either ordering a used P85D or a new 75D.
The car I currently own has XM and there are 2 channels that I absolutely love. I know that I can transfer my subscription over to the the Tesla. What does...
Yes I think that I am going with the nema 14-50 plug and I will buy the mobile charger. That way I will have one in the car and one is the garage.
Thanks to all that responded
My other post is about getting the NEMA 14-50 plug. Now my question: is there any reason other than higher rates of charging to get it? I won’t be able to go above a 50-60 amp circuit.
I did try a search and I’m not electrically inclined, sorry if I sound ignorant.
Thanks for your help

Thank you for all the replies. This truly is helpful. I was somewhat down yesterday as I had thought that the “dream’ was over because I wasn’t going to be able to charge at home.
BTW budosteve I am having the plug within feet of the box. My box is currently in the garage on the left. Right...
I have a washer, dryer (normal plug) and microwave and refrigerator. The stove, furnace and water heater is gas. It’s a smallish townhome.
I drive on average 30 miles per weekdays and 60 miles per day on weekends.
In my mind I think 23 miles/hr charge is possible if I’m reading the charts right.
New member so trying to jump in. I am currently looking at buying a MS and I have a question about charging set up at my home.
My current home circuit breaker has a door sticker stating max is 125 amps and I have the main breaker (2 breakers together with plastic showing 100 on each) that from...
