Agreed. Where I park @ work, there is no internet since I park 2 levels below the basement. Yet, when I came back to the car last evening, I had a message that Map data is ready. So it perhaps does take a while after the download, to fully unzip and process, before you see the notification.

I have MCU1 and just got this update. Jumped directly from 2018.12 to 2018.16. Will check on browser and report back. I had noticed a lag after the map update. This update seems to have made that better. No mention of AP on this update.

My local DA sent me these as well. Decent enough though I like the leather ones (like @GatorGuy) a bit better. May get them at some point.

Can SC folks 'stage' a firmware update? Last week a local SC guy told me to stop by so he can 'stage' the .14 update for me. Later when I called, another person told me that information is inaccurate and my car will just have to wait for whenever the new maps or .14 release notification pops up...

Did that. funny thing is that 'Forget' does not forget the password for my wifi. After doing that, it still remembered the password...strange,

Just checked and energy saving is off. I just reset the console and 'forgot' the wifi and reconnected it. Let's see if it helps at all...

I wonder about something. Is there a way to keep the car always on wifi at home so maps can be downloaded, if that is even a factor? Car ofcourse goes on suspend mode at home. When I go to the car in a couple of hours, it isn't connected to wifi....do you guys think this has any bearing...or it...

Guys, how can one tell if the car has new maps? Appears that 2018.12 5eadc71 does not necessarily mean the new Navigation update. I get my car back from SC tomorrow and would like to check before I collect the car. Thanks!

Hmm, that's interesting. I'll ask the SC when I go to pick up my car tomorrow AM. On my app, it shows the car is updated to the 2018.12 5eadc71 software. But it's interesting to note that some folks with same version have the new maps! This is a silly question -- could it be that new MCU cars...

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. Missed it by a couple of days. Hopefully they will offer it at a discounted price at some point as I would be interested in it too.

Try rebooting the router or resetting the Tesla's infotainment screen. Press both buttons on steering wheel for a few seconds and then try again. Hopefully that does the trick.

Congrats. The Ludicrous mode is SICK! I've been driving a P90D Model X and loving the jet-like speed. Such a rollercoaster to drive, and my kids want it all the time, haha.

Yeah, I'm driving a loaner ModelX P90 and it has this docking station. Honestly, I cannot say I like it. I will have to take my thin cover off for the phone to sit on it and charge. What's the point of that....perhaps for those that don't use any cover. Outside of that, the wireless charger...

Yours should have the new MCU. I got mine around 3 weeks back and don't remember it being as sluggish as the Model X loaner I'm driving now. Plus it should have AP2.5

Yes, they do. It looks like an exact replica of an White iPhone. Mirror in the middle and LED (in white on the sides). Wife really wanted it and we were surprised to see it too. DS had never seen it before too. My wife is driving the car today so cannot a pic of mine but can post one tomorrow...
