I missed that there were also EVGO chargers going in here, so I was very confused when I stopped by to see this and saw Tesla Energy stuff next to non-Tesla units being installed :P

Got my invoice today, no part number listed for it, and it was marked 'goodwill' and not warranty
Also, noticed my horn sounds muffled, not sure what's up with that (I had them adjust my driver side headlight while they had it, it was overhanging the front a bit)
Got my car back yesterday. The 2013 P85+ loaner was decent, but it definitely shows how far Tesla has come :p I was excited to get back into my own car.
Still no work order/invoice details yet (and the app still shows 'Ready for Pickup')
Nothing stands out as different from a quick pic...
Tesla just swapped my car - mine is heading down to Cleveland for a few things (including getting this fixed). I got a 2013 Model S P85+ as a loaner - should be fun!
I could easily see myself dropping $4-5k to OTA upgrade to P in a couple years if the option was available. Not counting on it, but it's nice to dream :D
Some clarification (just got my invoice details): The entire steering column control module ( part 1097662-00-L ) was replaced, that's probably why they had to reprogram it. I didn't realize they did that much work!
As far as the rear, ripped part, it just says "Replacement component not...
Still the same, 2018.50 7e49f8a, although I did get the notifications from the app that a new update was ready and then installed while he worked on it, he said it was a manual one they do on a car-by-car basis if needed
The Ranger just left - the part isn't available right now, and he said he didn't hear specifically that it was for a new revision, but it is possible. I also got a turn signal software update to fix it not disabling the turn signal on a half pull (which was on top of the 2018.50 I got last night)
I used the black gorilla tape, and it's still holding up after a couple weeks, although today was the first time it rained in any measurable amount. Still, seems promising!
Just talked to Tesla Service, should be hearing from the Rangers in a day or two to schedule an appointment.
In my case, it was raining a decent amount, but nothing out of the ordinary. Like usual, some puddles formed at the edge of the road near the curb. I didn't think until the next day to...
Update:
Got under the car to tape it up until I can get Tesla out here. Noticed it looks like a screw is missing:
Taped it up with gorilla tape, and the ripped section got gorilla mounting tape between it and the car. I added some to the "good" areas to hopefully prevent those from having...
I get to join the club now too. It doesn't even look like there was much of anything to hold it in place (see the spot that looks like where a screw hole may have been, very close to the corner). It's raining a bit outside with some puddles, but nothing significant at all
Other side:
In Michigan, we get our titles shortly after getting the car, and if you have a loan, there is a 'stamp' showing the lien holder, maybe that's what they are missing? Do you see something like the ABC Bank section on yours? It doesn't need to be paid off to trade it in...
I don't have my 3 yet, but my mats have the same setup in that area.
Looking at someone elses pictures, it looks like that should line up behind rail: https://i.imgur.com/QKBRtBv.jpg and https://i.imgur.com/yTFRAGi.jpg . When did you get your car? Maybe something has changed in the rail? Or...
You have to 'live, work, worship, or attend school in any county in the Lower Peninsula of Michigan.' Or if you are a relative of a Vibe member, or 'Retirees of Michigan Bell, SBC, Ameritech, AT&T, or Western Electric'
Signed up with Vibe CU. Originally it was 2.75%, plus a .25% discount if you autopay. Noticed they had a new promotion, 0.5% off 'the lowest qualified rate' from what they offer. Asked them if that could apply to mine, and it did! So in the end, 1.99% for 72mo, ~$60k financed
Not far out from my delivery (Tuesday)! Talked to them today and they said still looking good. The only issue I've had now is my MVPA has the full loan amount I was approved for (since I got that before finding out trade in value). It shows me getting back $7000, and I'm trying to get it updated...
I have the exact same one - I bought this for my '15 Dodge Dart and it works phenomenally well. Takes maybe 30s to increase by 4-5psi, which is quick for a small pump! Haven't tried it in my 3 yet, still a few days out from getting it
Woot! I was poking around to see if the VIN landed anywhere else in the account page JS, noticed something mentioned MVPA in reports. I thought that was odd because I haven't had one listed for the past week or so - sure enough it was now there! It has my VIN, 995XX!
Also, I noticed they...
Got my delivery date locked in* (well, as much as possible) for 9/11 in Cleveland! Got a call from my ISAs stand in while he is on vacation (glad that it was a proactive thing instead of not hearing anything for a while why my original was out.)
Still no VIN given though. Per the original email...
I was told to expect to get my car Sept 10-14 in Cleveland! Hopefully in the next day or so I will get the exact date (he said we would lock it in once I submitted the remaining info).
Awesome, congrats! I just got the call from my ISA - Currently looking at Sept 10-14, he said we will lock in the exact date once I get my bank and trade in info submitted.
Just got a call from my ISA - Delivery should be between Sept 10-14 :D He said we will lock in a date once I submit my bank details and trade in info. Woohoo!
I don't think I mentioned in this thread...but last week I changed my black interior to white, and a couple days later (Friday) my edit button went away, notified by email to get ready for the car, and asking for loan/trade in details :D I'll be picking up in Cleveland, OH
All of my prices (except for the delivery fee, but people said that should adjust back, even if it doesn't it was only $200 more) were the same as when I originally ordered. I half did the change because I liked white seats, and half because I thought it might help get it sooner :P I figured I...
A great thing to wake up to: asking for loan information! I updated my order to white seats just a few days ago
Model 3 Red, AWD, PUP, White Interior, Aero, EAP, FSD
Reserved: 2017-10-10 /// Ordered: 2018-06-27 6:55pm EST /// Edited to White Seats: 2018-08-21 /// Asked for loan and trade in...
I've seen other people reference it - it sounds like it's the one that would probably be assigned to you if all goes well, but they weren't giving it out until the car is close to delivery just in case
Just called today to see if I would get lucky. I did get lucky with no hold time, but unfortunately no VIN (or even marked as having a tentative VIN). That makes me really consider switching to white seats. The photos people posted with Red + White looks awesome! I figured if I was marked at...
I'll be doing aftermarket. I'll be looking for cheap, but ok looking, wheels, and probably Michelin X-Ice. I've used Blizzaks on my last two cars (2013 Mustang GT and 2015 Dart), so I might consider those again. With Michigan potholes, I'll probably need to replace one or two wheels eventually...
I live near Detroit, picking up in Cleveland
Reserved: 10/10/17
Ordered: 6/27/18 around 7pm EST (within 30min of it opening up for me after refreshing non stop all day)
AWD
Red
Black interior
18" Aero
EAP + FSD
Non-owner
It really could go either way. There are probably significantly fewer white interior awd orders, which means when they do the batches of that setup, there are less in front of you. But, since there are less, they may do smaller or more infrequent batches of them.
Heated steering wheel...that would be great. Going to miss mine* (*I will quickly get over it). I was hoping for air suspension, but not a big deal in the long run.
I was also surprised at the lower mileage from AWD, but I'm in it more for the performance/fun/winter driving perk (with winter tires, of course). The EPA tests don't really take into account regen though, right? And the front motor is supposed to provide more regen than a rear motor, so maybe...
When I was reporting at CES in 2011, they had a Tesla there demonstrating wireless charging. At the time I hadn't heard of Tesla, so it was neat to see both a nice looking electric car and see it charging that way (We also got to test drive a Nissan Leaf that year at the show). I know it isn't...
