I finally captured a video of AP handling a decently difficult stretch of road with no lane markings. It has curves and crests. Albeit at 30 MPH, I think it did a great job.

I experienced something similar. I have a road that goes from well marked lines to no lines. It went 3 miles on the no line road on AP 2.5 with no issue. The road had curves, hills and dips. It seemed as if it tracked the right edge of the road and used a fixed with for the left.

I’m curious as to why, too?

I had this happen to me when I left for vacation. The Tesla App kept failing to connect. I thought I was a victim of phantom drain, and I was going to have to jump my car when I returned. Turned out it was just the MCU bonked out and wouldn’t respond to anything but a two thumb salute.

Not sure this is true. 2018.7 went to a S P100D and 90D. However, 2018.5 went to a S 90D and 75D and X 90D. So looks like only possibly one that got 2018.5 got 2018.7.

The new flavor should be soon; we are almost to the start of week 10 and haven’t seen 2018.8.

I’m not. The rate of releasing material new features has slowed down even more if you look at the increased time per major point release (ie 6.0 to 7.0 to 8.0......hopefully 9.0).

I agree that the FSD add-on option doesn't pass the smell test for me, and I think would make for a legitimate claim under your respective state consumer fraud protection statutes. Unfortunately, I hope either your contract didn't contain an arbitration clause or you opted out within 30 days...

I read through the thread. Agree with most everyone. After 221 posts I was surprised to see no one mention that the mirrors in the sun visors aren’t lit. That bothers my wife more than me, but happy wife happy life :)

In 2017, it seems like Tesla had a release version every two weeks. Although 2017.50.3 was released during Week 52, Tesla released no firmware with a 2017.52 version number. Given that, I kind of expected a 2018.2 version, but time is running out on that if week 2 runs from January 8, 2018...

I had to wait on hold longer than an hour, but then I finally got someone.

Mine reported the update failure, but shows the new version too. However, the dash display said call Tesla for the update, which I did and they sent it off to diagnostics who should be calling me back. I’ve read elsewhere that when this happens the AP might be disabled until resolved.
