Wiki Teslike Model Y Survey & Order Tracker Spreadsheet

Maybe I wasn't logged into Google at all, and I've forgotten that it told me my information would be anonymous. Oh well. I've entered new information now. Please delete the old entry (2131). Thanks! The spreadsheet is fascinating!

Wiki Teslike Model Y Survey & Order Tracker Spreadsheet

I still don't see an edit button anywhere on the form after refreshing. I just get the same empty form with Submit button. How is it supposed to know it's me? By IP address? Mine changes from time to time. I see in the video it says "You have to be logged into your e-mail account". Does that...

Wiki Teslike Model Y Survey & Order Tracker Spreadsheet

That's unfortunate. This is one area Tesla needs to improve upon. I've bought a Model S and a Model 3 and got a pretty perfunctory delivery of my Model Y on the 18th. Even tho that was fine, it wasn't a "luxury car" experience, whereas my Model S delivery was.

The price of the Y has just dropped $3k for the configuration I ordered, even tho the price of FSD went up. Will my purchase price be adjusted, or would I have to cancel and reorder? $3k is a lot of money. I'm scheduled for delivery on the 18th.

I ordered AWD LR Y on May 20 for my dad and just got a VIN, but we waited a few days for the title of the trade-in (it was bought off lease bc my father thought we'd have to wait three or four months for the Tesla). Just noticed the VIN on the order management page yesterday. Got one phone call...

In Car Sentry viewer/Early access/Coming next update (pic)

Yesterday, I caught a truck/car collision on my Tesla cameras and was able to show it to a police officer right on site. I uploaded it to YouTube that morning and email the link to another officer who called to take my statement. Fantastic feature! Here are the front and right repeater views...

Lady Called Police on Dog in Car with Dog Mode Running!

I just got a "You didn't just leave that dog in the car" today and had to educate the person. I was parked on the street to drop off a check at my accountant's office, and his secretary saw my car thru the window. Maybe I'll make up a sign.

Those with EnhancedAP to receive 3k discount on FSD

What I wonder is what happens when FSD does become available. First, it will surely be enabled as "beta", with true self-driving disabled until the law catches up. That allows Elon to ring the cash register and realize all that FSD money. But the difference between FSD and AP becomes really...

Those with EnhancedAP to receive 3k discount on FSD

Maybe buy an electric scooter to keep in the back. Then you can park someplace free, pop the scooter out, and zip the extra mile to the office in 5 minutes. Bonus: being able to scoot around after you plug in at a Supercharger.

Wall connector charging a bit every hour

Maybe switch to the 110v charger more often for now? You can always use the 240v charger if you've driven a lot. The trickle charger should be able to keep the car topped up and I don't think makes any noise.

    M3 Standard 220 range 172 mile commute

All the more reason to pay part of the cost of installation: the spot is reserved for him. Besides, nobody else is going to have a 172-mile daily commute.

    M3 Standard 220 range 172 mile commute

All your concerns go away if you can get your employer to install a 240v outlet somewhere you can plug in. Easily worth a couple of hundred bucks on your end.

Just took delivery on Thursday and going on my first "road trip" today - range anxiety

Honestly, I wouldn't even charge up 100%. My Model 3 LR starts each day with 275 miles of range, and that's plenty for what you're doing. Trust the navigation range figure.

    Model 3 Software Update 2018.44.x

Does anyone else have problems getting updates because the car keeps forgetting your wifi profile? I've had to tell mine which wifi to use and enter the password three times now after having the car 6 weeks.

Red multi coat is now $2,500 - I would love to be a fly on the wall in their meetings!

My brother-in-law, who manages an RV custom painting business, touched up my red Model S after a ding. He mentioned it was known (among painters) to be tricky, but he didn't have much trouble with it. Perfect match.

    Model S 75 at Tesla.com new inventory

I live in northern Indiana, and AWD is fantastic in good weather and bad. I paid $82k for mine, configured just as Trace has, altho with the old MCU. If I had it to do over again, I'd leave off AP and probably pay up for the 100D's range. Honestly, AP is just a fun gimmick for now.

    Dead car

Yeah, it's disappointing to have two serious problems (and both the sort you wouldn't see in another car) in three months, but as long as they can be taken care of under warranty and mostly by a guy who comes to me instead me going to them, it's not too bad. If it ends up in the shop for a week...

    Dead car

Came out to my 3-month-old S 75D Sunday afternoon to find it completely unresponsive. Wouldn't unlock, would let me disconnect the charger, nothing. Called Tesla, and the tech said the car had registered alerts about the 12-volt battery, but I hadn't gotten any. I got lunch with it on Saturday...

    Auto present door handles

I just had my driver's door handle fail to present (it groaned when it first failed). After a couple of days trying fixes suggested here (reboot, change door lock/presentation settings), I called Tesla. The CSR acknowledged the issue immediately and sent a ranger a couple of days later. The tech...

    Tesla moments

Kind of a reverse Tesla moment... I drove a gas car for the first time in six weeks--the 2012 Toyota Avalon I bought my mother. The 75D has spoiled me for driving in the snow, because the Avalon, which I used to think was a good snow car, felt like a death trap. It slid all over, struggled to...

    Tesla moments

Saturday was a family gathering at my sister's--with good weather at last. My siblings were very interested in driving my S 75D. I've been following Tesla for nearly 10 years, so it's strange to me that some people still aren't aware that it's a pure electric car or that it has such good range...

    Charge handle too smooth

I have tried a Supercharger, and it worked about the same. I haven't thought too much about it until now because it was so cold that I figure everything is a bit janky in this weather.

    Charge handle too smooth

It was delivered 12/30, so yes, it's a quite recent build. After watching a couple of videos, I think my charge port just has a slightly tighter fit than spec. Other people seem to be able to disconnect it with one hand even at an angle with a gentle tug. If the darn thing weren't designed like...

    Charge handle too smooth

I was surprised to find no thread on this already. Does anyone else find the handle of the charger to be too smooth? I find it hard to get a grip with one hand and often fail to get it disconnected from the car on the first try. I feel like I need to wrap it in a motorcycle handlebar grip or...

Tried AutoPilot for the first time ............

I've been using it on my daily commute home on a rural (not divided) highway. I find it "hunts" unnervingly in the lane, is uncomfortably aggressive about reducing speed in lower speed limit zones, and doesn't go to the apex of an inside curve but rather tries to stay in the center of the lane...

    Humorous Album Art

Well, it clearly keys off the title "Here's the Thing" to find "Here I am to Worship for Kids", just like "Slate Money" gets connected to "Black Slate". So those must be in the meta data as "album title". I guess there's a cache of musical album art somewhere, and it just grabs whichever is...

    Humorous Album Art

I'm surprised there still isn't a fix for this another year later. I listen to podcasts all the time, and the randomness of the album art is embarrassing, especially because a Google search for "Slate Money" brings up the correct art right at the top, while even searching specifically for "Black...

    Tesla moments

I knew a couple people at work would be interested when I got my Tesla, but only the second day after I've had it at work, eight people have now engaged me with questions and requests for a drive. This doesn't count family and friends who have expressed an interest. This is in northern Indiana...

Model S Technical / Mechanical Issues

Bitter cold here again today. Despite being garaged, the car only partly "woke up". The main display didn't come on, and the air suspension message was back on the instrument panel. I figured the display would come on during my drive to work, but it didn't, and it wouldn't respond to the phone...

Model S Technical / Mechanical Issues

Salesman called just to check in, so I asked about the message. He checked with a technician and called right back, saying the bitter cold seemed to be causing these messages. I had got into the car (now in my garage) in the meantime and told him the message was gone. Seems to be the sensor...

    Perfect delivery in Indianapolis

Took my 79-year-old mother for a ride this morning. She seemed most impressed by the fact that the car will bring the cabin up to temperature by tapping the climate control in the app. In this weather, that's huge luxury.

Most people here have probably driven a modern car with Bluetooth phone pairing and all, but to me it was new. Traveled down to Indianapolis to pick up my red Model S 75D today, and I'm happy to report that everything went beautifully. Thanks to this forum, I had some good questions to ask and new what to check to be sure it would be all right. The car was fully charged, clean (despite the messy...
