Due for pyro fuse replacement, rather than spend the money on this service, I’d prefer to just have the Insane mode upgraded to Ludicrous. Are there ANY shops in Southern California that are able to perform this upgrade???

Am I understanding this correctly that for this service, tesla is replacing the fuse with the newest pyro fuse that is also Ludicrous capable? Or on non-ludicrous/non-performance cars, this is only a software update as there isn’t a battery powered fuse to begin with?

SA said you lose FM radio. I researched and it's due to the analog cable in older cars not being compatible with the digital cable in MCU2. I'm assuming the $500 you are referring to is for the digital cable? SA never offered that option.

the more people opt for the $1500 "upgrade", the less likely tsla will ever offer the MCU2 replacement as the solution for the faulty MCU1. Why do a recall properly when your customers are willing to pay for it.

My vote is for a used inventory Model S, or any used Model S. The depreciation really hurts when the newer versions come out, along with the continued 69 and 420 surprise price drops.

The chance is even fatter thanks to all of the people that have gleefully paid $2500 for a replacement part that they should have received under warranty. I’d rather buy a 1tb iPad Pro cellular for $1650 and have an extra $850 to spend lol.

get the 85, when that battery fails (within tesla warranty) you get upgraded to a 90 battery for free.

You should have been provided with a Service Invoice, which will clearly state what the customer concern was, what they did to resolve any issue they found, and the part numbers of the parts used for repair. Post the battery sticker picture already.........
