Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
This is absolutely the best response to the shudder/tire-wear issue. The issue is real and it's outrageous that Tesla hasn't acknowledged it nor adopted the adjustable suspension components. Seems that would be less of an expense than replacing half shafts. Thanks for the info!
Your flat installation "looks" good. And, because of lot size, neighborhood covenants or standards, and geographic region that's fine. My installation (not by Tesla) is in the mountains of West Virginia. We have plenty of land and opted for a ground mount which optimizes angle and direction...
Can't help but think that all who are so terribly critical of NoA are also poor passengers with others driving. I take pleasure in the fact that my Model X is a joy for me to drive.
FWIW, I traded my 2017 Model X 6 seater for a 2020 Model X 5 seater largely because of not being able to fold down the 2nd row and also because I never had anyone in the 3rd row. If you have a need to carry "stuff," the 5 seater is the way to go.
Just traded a 2017 X for a 2020 X. Did it primarily because I got a fair value for the trade-in. The 6-seat config of the 2017 turned out to be annoying in that the middle row seatbacks did not fold down. Knew that when I ordered it, but as we came to use the car, the middle row seats were...
You've already seen good info in the replies. Some other thoughts - - if you have a large lot or acreage, consider a ground mount system. No roof problems and it provides a shed for outdoor storage. If you experience power outages where whole house generators are common in your area, consider...
Not sure what the update was that I first started having same problem. Did the resets per e-mail instruction from Tesla helpers, still not working correctly. One of my "trips" has about 1500 miles and indicates I've only been using 21 wH/mile. Oddly, a trip yesterday, the only accurate info...
Upon inspection, two mounts on the roof of the car are stripped - that must’ve been the pooping noise I heard when the car flexed over the hump. Has anyone experienced anything similar?
I’ll probably move on to a hitch system like 1up for the peace of mind. Y’all be careful out there!
Most...
wk057, I'm with you. The car remains a fabulous car to drive, and the operative words there are "to drive." I use AP only very occasionally (fumbling with the radio, opening a breakfast sandwich, etc.) keeping one hand on the wheel and one eye on the road. The phantom braking is more than...
Padelford - Thanks. That clarifies the connectivity subject. I'll make it a point to be sure and spend some time in known ATT coverage areas. Can also get an extender out to the garage.
Awaiting delivery of a MX. Wasn't aware the car needs to connect to wifi. Where mine will be garaged, there is no wifi. How does it connect to the Internet while on the road? Cellular? Satellite? We have a lot of areas in West Virginia in which ther is NO cell coverage.
