2017 Model X, no left turning signal on dashboard while turning lights are on. enhanced autopilot can not engage left turn.

Did you end up finding the cause of the problem or did Tesla say when you took it in?

Cost of model s charge port replacement?

My charge port door was sticking and wouldn't open on its own. A small amount of WD-40 at the hinge seemed to get it working again.

    TeslaOffer Frunk issue

I’ve had the TeslaOffer frunk kit installed on my Model S for some time. Always opens and closes good. I had to take it in to the service center recently for an AC repair and after putting the frunk pieces back in the automatic opener will open okay but not close all the way. It lowers and...

No Security View Live Camera option in my FSD Beta enabled Model S

Older Model S/X might not get this because a lot of those cars have free premium connectivity. This feature would cost Tesla higher mobile upload internet fees in perpetuity. Maybe when they get wifi at all the super chargers they can introduce it.

    2021.24.28 Rolling out to MCU1/FSD MS/X

    2021.24.28 Rolling out to MCU1/FSD MS/X

I’ve been holding off on the MCU2 upgrade forever in hopes they would do it since it’s probably required for my paid FSD. But I caved and booked an appointment yesterday. Tesla is so busy trying to do everything (cybertruck, roadster, semi, new factories, chip shortage, etc.) I think a free...

    FSD Beta for MCU1 cars

Wonder if MCU1 / FSD will come first, or they'll give up and retrofit everyone to MCU2 so they can deliver FSD to older cars. I don't care if I don't get the visuals on the MCU1 screen, but would like the FSD package I paid for.

Yes Model S. but only with FSD and MCU2 so far.

Model S Electric Frunk from Tesla Offer Questions

Thanks for the tips! I ended up putting the motor behind the front center support and the control unit on the firewall next to the air filter inlet. I can get to it decently there. I'm going to watch the leak and if it continues I'll email them. Hopefully it just stops and I don't have to...

Model S Electric Frunk from Tesla Offer Questions

Anybody install the newer Model S Electric Frunk from Tesla Offer in a post-facelift Model S? I just got the newer mark3 version installed but have some questions. Where's the best place to secure the motor and control unit And how do you secure them? One of the new struts has a small fluid...

Tesla now repairing MCU1 with a new Tegra card for less than $500

I got my S Jan 2018, bit sad missed out on MCU2 but happy to hear there might be a couple options now when the emmc chip goes out. I’ve noticed a few times my MCU locks up or goes black. But have always been able to reset it so far.

Pre Dec 2014 S Heated Steering Wheel Retrofit

Would be interested in hearing prices on something like this. I got my 2018 S w/o the subzero package and always wondered if it would be possible to add parts of or the whole package later.

    HW3 Upgrade from HW 2.5 with MCU1

So the Model S FSD that’s featured on the youtube video I mentioned earlier does work on my HW3 MCU1 car. Had a chance to drive it around after calibration. My ICU does all of the visualizations of stop lights and signs. One weird thing that happened was after I changed my tires today from...

    HW3 Upgrade from HW 2.5 with MCU1

Congrats to those upgraded. They called me and initially setup a mobile appointment to have it done. But then texted and canceled saying it would take too long as a mobile appointment. So I asked if we could make it a service center job and they agreed. I got the car back, and its still...

    HW3 Upgrade from HW 2.5 with MCU1

After getting HW3, I was hoping this meant your car could start/stop at traffic lights. This guys' Model S can. But he has MCU2 as well, maybe that's needed for traffic lights? I'm getting HW3 installed in my Model S with MCU1 this week. Decided to try it this way first because of the same...

    I retrofit MCU2, IC2, Tuner2, and FSD Computer into my HW2.0 Car

Does the MCU2 have premium audio ports only? My MCU1 came with standard audio, so that might be a nice side benefit to an upgrade.

Facelift S - Cabin Air Filter with/without HEPA Filter

Pre 2016 there is just one small filter accessible in frunk as seen in videos above. After 2016 there is the same small filter accessible inside the car behind glovebox. Maybe two of same small filters. And then additionally a large HEPA filter in the frunk, if you purchased the premium option...

Tesla banned me from purchasing another Tesla after vehicle buyback

Under federal anti-discrimination laws, businesses can refuse service to any person for ANY reason, unless the business is discriminating against a protected class. In this case though, its because of exactly what they say, this isn’t a good relationship for either of you.

    Supercharger - Idaho Springs, CO

I'll probably be out that way tomorrow, see if I can get an updated picture. Idaho Springs is a fun place, it'll be nice to be able to charge there if they're aren't always ICE'd.

Tesla infotainment system upgradeable from MCU1 to MCU2

    Parking sensor loose

My kid pushed one of the parking sensors on the rear bumper in. Still there in correct spot, but loose and you can move it around. Tesla tpms

    Potential Buyer looking for insight

They do accept trade ins but you can get more selling yourself. You can get carmax quotes and tesla might match those. Getting it from tesla means you can buy an extended warranty, whereas you can’t from a private dealer. Its a really fun car and cheap to operate.

    Old tires/wheels on a newer Model S

Hm, that’s a good point. The batteries may be shot but the wheel should fit. I found the braking in the Model S to be lacking. It’s a lot of weight to stop I guess, but I was hoping to get Subaru like winter performance with an awd Tesla. Maybe snow tires will do that.

    Aftermarket filter for Model S

Cool. Thanks for the feedback. I was hoping to hear from others who did the aftermarket filter. I was also thinking maybe go with a MERV 8 or 11 and combine it with a sheet of activated carbon. They sell it on amazon. Not sure if that would be better.

    Aftermarket filter for Model S

My 2018 model S didn't come with the HEPA filter upgrade and back then Tesla wouldn't sell me the upgrade after purchase. So I installed the 14x27.5x1 MERV 13 custom filter from filterbuy.com. It was $21.89 for one shipped to me in Denver. Today I got around to replacing the filter 1 year...
