Yep, I have to agree with you on this one A.O.. Jim Kenzie is not a good writer. He doesn't seem to know a lot about cars, and he's a bit of an ego maniac to boot (he rarely allows comments that disagree with him, or that point out his many errors). I gave up reading his reviews many moons ago.

I see that they paid special attention to the aerodynamics (& AC)... Something tells me that this was not a particularly serious effort to build an EV. :rolleyes:

There was a similar article in the Wall Street Journal: Gore-Backed Car Firm Gets Large U.S. Loan - WSJ.com Both are owned by Rupert Murdoch, so I guess we know his position on EVs.

It could be a production deal with Daimler to ship gliders to the US, with Tesla adding the drive train in the US. Similar to the deal with Lotus for the Roadster. I have no specific knowledge of this. I'm just suggesting a possibility.
