Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
I finished configuring at 10:16 AM. Hopefully it still won't be long for you! We finally are getting model 3's shipped to AZ, yesterday I checked and they had:
Red/aero 13XXX
Gray/Sport x 2 17xxx
Red/Sport 15XXX
On the lot...their first shipment of new model 3's since early/mid March.
Last few times I’ve been to the Tempe center they haven’t had any model 3 lol. (Past two weeks or so) The only thing I could think of is maybe the truck is being used for San Diego instead?? The lot has quite a few model s in it but not enough to consider “full”
It's so unreal to me, three people who configured today got vins assigned today..... Meanwhile people sitting from 2/22 still waiting, maybe even from longer.
I wouldn't get too fixated on them prioritizing sport rims.... My friend configured Feb 22 and is getting his silver/aero delivered this Friday (March 16)
Yes I also believe this is a good sign. At first I was getting discouraged that no new VINs had been registered. But before I was assuming Tesla had to have completed a vehicle to register a VIN with the NHTSA. From recent speculation on production numbers I now think they can register with a...
Thanks @tsunamiofhurt
I was wondering why they kept skipping VINs. SO in that case you can add 181 back in and get around 1902 VINs registered 735 and above...
Also I'm happy you created that, I won't have to check the few that I was daily to see when new ones were registered. Main purpose...
No new VINs as of today but here's something I've been working on for people who doubt that the number of VIN's corresponds to vehicles.
Vin Tracker
Kind of my personal journal but lists out VINs 735-2151 in the Columns A & B, 2151-2638 in F & G, with all the not reg in between. If you search...
I think its the other way around, Doug says you can't open the charge door if the trunk is already open...Pretty sure you can open the trunk with the charge door already open. (but since he didn't do this in the video and I don't have one can't say for sure)
No rules or laws, but probably safe to assume if you look up a VIN on the NHTSA website and it returns recall information the car is probably pretty close to being produced (if not already produced). Also I manually checked 1000+ VIN numbers and they all were returning 0 recall notices on the...
This seems pretty promising, on Oct 27, someone had reported up to vin 2145. When I checked these 9 vins had been registered, but vin 2147+ were valid but not registered yet. I spot checked down to vin 2584 from 2639, and from 2147-2151 and they are registered as of today!
Since they keep the...
Ok so I did a bit of manual digging in the NHTSA website... And I know last time we had up to vin 1134 with only 260 produced, but I am assuming there was a density issue, meaning only 260 below 1134 were actually registered. Now that there are up to 2136 (as a max vin) I went through one by...
