Ok, since I have nothing much better to do I will argue whose guess was closer. My guess was December 26 and my post showed me charging on the 28th, how is it that my guess doesn't get the grand prize?

Charging in Payson a couple of hours ago. HOWEVER, CAUTION IT IS NOT OFFICIALLY OPEN. I got caught in Larmie, Wyoming in this trap so I was able to charge but not official.

We have snow in Payson but no electricity at the Superchargers, next week we hope.

About a week ago when I went by to check on the status of Payson I asked them about Globe and they said that they knew nothing about a Globe supercharger. Maybe another crew from the valley or maybe they are not told ahead of time.

I talked to an electrician this afternoon and he told me that January 3rd was the scheduled opening date. Tesla has to do their inspection and certification and with the holidays so close I think that that might be a realistic date. I will be there next Thursday and will post what I find. At any...

Assault layed yesterday. Talked to the electrician and he said that they didn't have a definate date on the APS power installation but he thought soon. Here are a couple of pictures from yesterday.

I went by the site late this afternoon and they were power washing the area. My guess is they will be painting lines tomorrow and maybe some asphalt work. I will send pictures tomorrow evening.

Now this is progress.

Depending on your interest, there are all kinds of day trips that you can enjoy. North of Payson is Pine, Strawberry, Happy Jack and numerous trails and hikes along the Mogollon Rim. Also between Payson and Pine is the Natural Bridge State Park which is well worth a half-day of your time...

Went by yesterday but nothing new to see so no new pictures. They are running underground wiring and pouring more cement. I will send new pictures next week when I go up. They have to be close to setting the transformers. They are there in the enclosure.

Yes they are back to work after the holiday and making progress. A lot of wiring being done and looks like they may be about ready to set the transformers. Here is a pictures. I will check tomorrow to see the progress.

Went by the site this afternoon, no workers and nothing new to show, therefore no new pictures. Maybe they took off for Thanksgiving. I will be back up there on Friday and will report.

Here is the scoop, there are 11 conduits in a row plus one next to the transformer closure which apparently will allow for charging with a trailer attached. This is larger than expected. No sign of a roof structure for solar panels. More pictures tomorrow.

There are at least 8 stalls and could be 10. I will be there this afternoon and will see if I can get an exact count. The vertical steel posts are for the transformers enclosure I am sure because they surround the concrete pad.

Status as of this morning is: they are working on a Saturday, pad and foundation concrete poured and curing, steel post in place for the fencing and large boxes in the enclosure which may be the charging structures (only a guess). Here are a couple of pictures.

I will be there Thursday and will ask where they are located but I am pretty sure that when I talked to them last week that he told me that the electrical company that was going to be doing the work was coming up from the valley.

I would say 100% that is is Tesla since I talked to one of the construction workers who verified that it was for the Tesla Superchargers.

My guess is December 26th. They were making some serious progress today. Not sure why anything else is needed in order to get the orange cones up.

Correct, I was there last Thursday and only the fence. I will be there on Wednesday and will check out progress, if any. Also noted that the Carl's Jr. was gone. However, plenty of other fast-food services in that Bashas' shopping center.
