I know. But just like it's bad to keep your car batteries always topped off, it's bad for the phone as well. I want to be able to rest my phone on that pad without it charging if it doesn't need to. Hence I prefer the actual connector pin/cable.

Tesla should focus their resources on building cars, improving build qualities and features. But Phone integration better be left to companies that DO specialize in that aspect of things. So yes, Tesla should really offer a Carplay option in my opinion!

Anybody with a recommendation on replacing the front carpet mats in a Model X? After 14K miles, they already look pretty bad, and I certainly don't want to buy them again from Tesla. The quality seems pretty low.

yes, I drive around the block and brake in neutral a few times to dry the brakes usually. When I remember to do it, that is! I guess that's the best way to deal with it. I am just surprised at the responses of people that said it's not normal, and I should take it to service?!

No, I am not using anything on the wheels. And it even does it, if I drive under the rain anyway. So calling the mobile service huh? Well never thought of that. I don't even know how to do it or if it's warranted for such a small issue? Do I run the risk of damaging my rotors in the long run?

It's not so much the layer of rust. It's that when I put the car on drive, it's not moving for a while, until suddenly the force overcomes the stuck pads on the rotors.

Every time I wash my model X or drive in the rain and park the car immediately after, the brakes get stuck. This typically happens after leaving the car parked for a few hours. But the brakes are seriously stuck, where they release with a big clunk sound after applying enough throttle power...

and I also have an issue when the rear camera is showing, with the map in the background. In the past, you could switch the camera view to the top of the screen (easier to see). Now it stays at the bottom with no way to move it up. Am I correct on that?

quick question on the range mode: I thought, this mode was actually heating the battery up before a trip, to allow for a more efficient use of the battery capacity. In that case, this would work against lowering battery drain? Am I confused?

yes but my point was that the stall count disappeared even before the software update came in. Therefore I am thinking the stall count is simply an information Tesla stopped broadcasting. But why?!?

Yes Bob. And that is too bad. I've upgraded my audio with a REUS system, and was planning to go TIDAL with ultra/lossless quality. But there is just no need to go above a 320kps quality, since this thing is streaming over Bluetooth... Tesla should really implement some sort of direct connect...

No I am going to Centinela service center. I went twice, and had to leave both times since they had no loaner for me (ICE or anything else) I had an appointment confirmed, but they told me that loaners are never guaranteed. Maybe this is just this location then?

I am really wondering why the Tesla service experience hasn't been improved by now: -which car dealership doesn't book and guarantees a loaner vehicle when you bring a +$100K car for service? -why can't the service be scheduled easily online, or better yet, from inside your car ? Any thoughts?
