Online routing takes to wrong address

In my case only the Tesla online routing has this issue. All other maps work fine. In fact i realized this problem first when Tesla service delivered back the vehicle and the driver had trouble getting to our place.

Online routing takes to wrong address

Checking to see if anyone else has encountered this issue. For past year or so, I think probably when they introduced online routing, the map routes to the wrong location when i enter my home address even though it shows the destination marker correctly. It looks like it is the local post...

    Concerned About Tesla AEB Effectiveness

Thanks! NCAP has an AEB Inter-Urban rating that tests for effectiveness against stationary vehicles as well. So I don’t agree ‘no AEB has that kind of capability’.

    Concerned About Tesla AEB Effectiveness

Sorry, yes. But TMC doesnt allow title edits. I realized the error as soon as I posted. My worry is Tesla touts it’s safety tech as the best. But really it doesn’t seem to be anywhere close to being the best if I look at Euro NCAP ratings. From an average consumer’s perspective, one would...

    Concerned About Tesla AEB Effectiveness

Is the lack of a good AEB system the primary reason why Tesla’s don’t seem to do Euro NCAP certifications? NCAP safety ratings seem to be much more comprehensive and current than IIHS ratings.

    Concerned About Tesla AEB Effectiveness

Couldn’t the system that understands it is driving within two lanes on a highway significantly minimize the false positives of stationary objects? In any case we are only taking about slowing down and warning. So even a few false positives won’t do any harm i’d think.

    Concerned About Tesla AEB Effectiveness

The recent head on crash on 101 and other reported crashes before, I’m getting quite concerned abt the effectiveness of the Automatic Emergency Braking system. No one seem to be talking about it. But shouldn’t AEB have kicked in for this latest crash and at least slowed down a bit to reduce...

    Glimpse of M3 Assemble Line?

FYI, the clip shows one car passing over. After each car, the line pauses for a minute before rolling over to the next car. Well this was the first time I saw it move during my weekend visits. I Wouldn't take this to determine any realistic estimates of the production rate yet. I would ask other...

Significant improvements to Autosteer? And Tesla AI to target other industries?

From today's shareholder letter: "We continue to update our Autopilot software and recently made significant improvements to the Autosteer function. The Tesla AI team, which is fundamental to achieving full autonomy, strengthened dramatically this year, with a number of the world’s best AI...

    Glimpse of M3 Assemble Line?

BTW, I got a chance to tour the Fremont factory a week back and I can confirm the pic you see is the M3 line and the line has many cars on it. What you see is in fact some where in the middle of the line, not the start. Also got a glimpse of the super fast stamping machine in action that Elon...

Has anyone here recently taken the Tesla factory tour?

I took the tour today and can vouch for that. Though your chances of spotting a M3 in the parking lot is not a guarantee.

I'd like to know too. Anything one should look for based on recent tours? I'm taking a tour soon. Will let you know after.

    Glimpse of M3 Assemble Line?

Their existing Schuler SMG hydraulic stamping press was reported 5000 per day. This speed is really exponentially high in comparison. So at least the stamping seems to be ready for volume production rates. The welding one he showed at 1/10th speed seems to be the bottleneck at this point? Or at...

AVs - will they help restore personal car ownership?

There is this talk of robo-taxi's and ride-sharing reducing or even eliminating the need or desire for personal car ownership. In my brief experience with even the limited capability EAP, I would think autonomous vehicles will spur more road travel and individual car ownership. In fact, I...

EAP - Does it make sense at all on a lease?

I don't think EAP is intended to be able to work on lanes with breaks in markers. The lane markers are the primary means for it to stay in lane. Also road hazards. The whole reason why it is only a 'driver assist system' at present is the fact it is not designed to handle inconsistencies in the...

EAP - Does it make sense at all on a lease?

After trying AP2 on 101 and 880 in SF Bay Area, it performs as expected. Really fascinating it works so well. I've not encountered any issues so far. Only one notable minor discrepancy so far, it set a wrong AP max speed limit on a 65mph limit highway. It showed the correct speed limit on the...

    Glimpse of M3 Assemble Line?

Pretty sure I got a glimpse of the M3 assembly line at the Fremont factory. I could see two bodies in this line from where I was standing. How can I tell these are M3s? The tail lamp is flipped up on M3s vs S - you can see that in the pic. You can't see it in the pic but from I could also...

Factory running at full capacity 24x7 (looking at the parking lot)

Guys, I've been charging here only a month. So cant compare it to earlier months or comment on whether it is due to Model 3 or not. A year back i don't recall seeing the parking lots full at night when passing by if that means anything. Perhaps others supercharging in Fremont can chime in.

Factory running at full capacity 24x7 (looking at the parking lot)

I usually charge my MS at the Fremont factory super charger. One thing I can vouch for is the Fremont factory parking lots are full day and night. They even have some good carpool incentives in place due to the parking shortage at the factory. For all those waiting for their M3, rest assured...

EAP - Does it make sense at all on a lease?

BTW, EAP is absolutely a must. It is just the thing that makes it the most advanced car you can buy in the market today. It is pushing the envelope quite a bit and therefore, has many kinks to it. Just cant stop using it and experiencing it in action. I take back all I stated before in this...

    Pictures of production Model 3s

VIN 340+ delivered yesterday. Seen at Fremont Supercharger. One little tidbit the owner shared is the windshield wiper spary is a bit different than your usual dual spray nozzle. The water seems to spray from one channel on to the windshield from between the wipers rather than a spray. Not sure...

Great time to lease a Tesla M S/X

You should contact a Tesla sales person. Not all inventory gets listed online. In fact most dont make it online. I can give you my Owner Advisor’s contact in PM if you’re interested. He is good in finding the right one based on requirments.

Great time to lease a Tesla M S/X

EAP - Does it make sense at all on a lease?

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Looks like mixed experience so far. I think @Sawyer8888 summed it up best. "Adding EAP does not make sense, but it is a must." EAP - Does it make sense at all on a lease?

What exactly do you love about it? And what are the issues you've come across? I've tried it in test drives. However, I find it difficult to determine how reliable/erratic it really is from a test drive on streets/highways chosen by Tesla reps. It is the case negative posts on the forums skew...

EAP - Does it make sense at all on a lease?

Fair enough. However, 1) EAP sounds quote inferior to AP1. 2) I suppose for someone like yourself, trained many hours on AP in airplanes it might be a familiar experience. However, for folks like me who are just regular car drivers, isn't it a bit much to pay for something like this that seem to...

EAP - Does it make sense at all on a lease?

So please enlighten me, what is it about EAP that makes it so compelling for you? From all I've read, it sounds like a stressful system to use. Don't you've to be doubly attentive to both watch the road as well as the EAP system?

EAP - Does it make sense at all on a lease?

Waiting on my new S 75 to be delivered end of this month. After reading the several posts on EAP and its current state, I really find it hard to justify paying for EAP on a lease. Perhaps it might make sense if you're buying. But if the full potential of EAP is only realized in another one...
