    Driving visualization temporarily degraded message

Also having this problem today. Really strange. I had it once before but a reset fixed it. Bummed because I was going to hit the road today but I have no AP or visualization at all.

    Front dash scratches

I can confirm that my July 2019 p3d+ build doesn’t have this dash issue, if it helps anyone. I was extremely nervous about cleaning it, but today I successfully used a few generous sprays of Nextzett Cockpit Premium on a regular microfiber cloth. I was able to use normal pressure and wipe the...

    Document Organizer?

After years of cluttered gloveboxes full of random crap, I actually love how small the space is. I’m going to try to keep it that way. I bought a nice Montblanc passport holder and I keep my registration, insurance, cash, and two emergency credit cards in there. I was worried it might be a...

I spent the better part of 3 months trying to decide whether to chrome delete or not, and I finally decided against it once I saw the car at this stage and told them not to do the chrome delete and powder coating. There’s just something really striking about the satin grey finish with the silver...

Just Picked Up - Stealth (Matte) Red with Dechrome

Looks clean! I have Xpel Stealth on mine, and it cost me 6k. Also I love chrome delete on the red, it looks great.

    Best wireless charger?

I have the nomad one and I love it. I own several of their other products and the fit and finish is great. Their wireless charger blends in perfectly with the car, you’d never know it wasn’t stock on the car. I see it lasting a long time, and it’s the one I recommend to everyone.

Silver Plasti Dipped Aeros project on Silver Model 3

I have hated EVERY single aero mod that I've seen, with the exception of this one. Massive improvement!

    Road/wind noise

When I test drove a single-motor last year, I remember the wind noise being quite loud. However, my P3D is incredibly silent on the road, and the car is only about a week old. Even my wife commented and said it was much quieter than she remembered, and this was driving the exact stretch that I...

Hand Wash is still a thing?

I'm still on the hunt for a good car wash, but having trouble finding one. There seems to be nothing in between a "super mega generic car wash that will definitely ruin your car" and "bring in your Lamborghini for a perfect $200 car wash where we also tell it bedtime stories and build it's...

    What's a chrome delete cost?

I was quoted around $800 by a shop that has done many Model 3s in my area. Xpel stealth was about 6k, and ceramic tint was about $700.

    Windshield Shade?

I have this folding one as well, it just arrived a few days ago. Great sunshade, definitely the one I would recommend for anybody else who hates the flimsy roll-up ones that sound like you’re trying to open a bag of chips in the middle of the night while everyone sleeps. I’ve found that the...

    Custom Center Console Bin

Looks pretty cool! Something like this would make cleaning the space a lot easier, as a lot of these inserts can be difficult to clean if you spill something in them. I think that my main issue with a lot of these inserts is that they are all really underwhelming. I don't mean that as offense...

    Paint protection films

I plan on keeping my pm3 for a while, which is why I’m doing full xpel stealth. If I only wanted to hang on to the car for a couple of years, I wouldn’t bother with the cost, but I’d rather the car look brand new for the majority of it’s life without me having to baby it. For me, it’s worth it...

Blog TMC Member Offers Tesla Model 3 First Look

Yeah it was the first time that I actually questioned the "roominess" of the M3. He did mention that he had the seat back a bit because it was set to how he would sit in the drivers seat, but it still didn't look much farther back than the passenger seat.

Model 3 "Production Bottlenecks" lead to lower-than-anticipated Q3 delivery #s

I'm really trying to pace myself. I tend to get feverish when waiting too long on cool new stuff, to the point to where I don't even feel anything once I've received what I was waiting on. Also I find that thinking too much about the Model 3 is going to lead me into wanting a Model S just so I...

    Aftermarket things

I think you all need to ask yourselves a question here... Carbon fiber is definitely a cool feature, but I've gotta admit that there's something interesting about having an open pore piece of wood at my dash that isn't covered by shiny polyurethane lacquer. If I ever were to change the dash...

For some reason, I really love these photos. I feel like they're the most "real" interior photos I've seen so far, meaning it really gives me an impression of what it's probably going to look like when I'm sitting in the car in my garage. Very exciting that they're being delivered!

    Available Trims

I'll admit that I have concerns about this as well. I mean I'd like to believe they're using super high-quality vinyl, but I don't really have experience with anything but fabric and leather. Hopefully it's comparable to the stuff in BMW vehicles.
  30. sneakypotato

    Available Trims

Makes sense. I honestly don't have a problem with the PUP, I think it's fine for the price. The glass roof is cool, and from what I've heard the Tesla vinyl leather is pretty nice and soft.
  31. sneakypotato

    Available Trims

I'm in that same boat, and leaning towards the PUP. I don't care about some of the features, but premium audio and better cabin materials are a must for me for a vehicle in this price range. The rest are just bonuses, I guess. I personally wish that they had done something a little more...

Why all the hate for the Aero wheels?

I don't hate them, I just feel like they don't match the car as well as the Sport rims do. I like the idea of the aero covers, and I really like the fact that they're grey. I like that you take off the covers and the rims are grey. However, I just like the Sport rims more. Something just...

Maybe I'm an idiot here, but what is the appeal to auto-folding mirrors (aside from obviously not having to manually fold them)? I don't think I've ever folded in my mirrors outside of going to a car wash, but I try to avoid that these days completely and wash by hand. I mean, I guess I would...

No heated steering wheel? (Leaf and Bolt have it)

We get an occasional pathetic "dusting" of snow that melts before it hits the ground, but it's like once every couple of years. Zion is a little further north so they might get a touch more. Most of the time it's similar weather to Vegas, just a few degrees cooler. I keep trying to find a place...

    Poll: 35k or 49k

I've decided that I don't really need the long range, and instead I can get the PUP and Enhanced Autopilot without breaking 50k. If you're planning on driving super long distances it obviously makes sense to get the Long Range, but personally the extra range is not worth the price to me when...

Alright today I saw a Model X in Midnight Silver, and it pretty much calmed my anxiety about the color being too blue. It's definitely more grey than it is blue, which is what I was hoping for. I feel like the photos that show it in the more grey tones are the most accurate when you're seeing it...

    Pictures of production Model 3s

Midnight silver is killing me. In some photos it looks more like a true grey, almost charcoal, which I was really digging. Then in other photos it has a serious touch of blue to it. I've never had this much anxiety about choosing a color of car before. Maybe I should just choose silver and be...

    Model 3 for college kid?

Might not be the popular opinion, but I'm going to advise against it for a couple of reasons. First, I personally wouldn't give my son such an expensive car when first going to college. It's admirable that he wants to pay such a good chunk of it, but I think you should consider other options...

Model 3 Premium Package is a STEAL (By Tesla standards)

I did not know this, thanks for the correction. It must all be for the sake of faster/smoother production?
  47. sneakypotato

Model 3 Premium Package is a STEAL (By Tesla standards)

I don't really have a problem with the Premium Upgrades, or the pricing. I can see how people might want more customization or the ability to pick and choose, but we have that ability on the Model S. I'd prefer that the Model 3 be more available and cost-effective for people, even if that means...

    EAP versus FSD

I love Tesla, but I'm not going to pay for features that have not yet been completely revealed unless there is a huge benefit in doing so, which there really isn't. Also, we don't know how long it's going to take before it's here. I will gladly pay the full cost of FSD when it arrives and is...

Thanks for sharing. It's funny how videos completely change my opinion about the car, as I imagine it is for people that see it in person. A lot of the "in the wild" camera photos we have floating around in these early days really fail to capture the sportiness of the car's design, for some...
