Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
I saw four in the service center delivery area today. They had it locked up. But they did let me take pictures through the glass. Said regular orders going out now, ie not employee orders.
Let’s say they put 10 stalls. From the breaker room run a 200 amp circuit,(Which is likely in or near the garage for building service connections.) install 10 chargers that can each say pull a respectable 20 amps each. Or 40 when not all 10 are used. The Tesla chargers can multiplex like this...
I’d like to see a bill authorizing or requiring condos to install electric chargers in parking stalls for residents. That kind of bill would be much more useful. Really it shouldn’t cost that much to run conduit in a parking garage. The metering is really where the hang up would be but not...
You would be absolutely right. I would not park in the airport anymore. Though it would be nice still to pick people up and park free without having to deal with the curb Nazi’s. But it’s a senseless bill. Those lots are never full. They won’t generate any more revenue. It will just take away...
My God! What a beast! 600 miles! 1.9 sec 0-60, 0-100 4.2 , Top speed 255+ , 4 seats!
Makes me want to get a second job. That’s just insane and kills pretty much any super performance car period.
I parked in one of the Tesla stalls late night when I went to dinner there a couple weeks ago. The chargers were all taken though. Parking pretty cheap with validation. They have some good restraints on the third floor of the IMP.
Not having uncorking take makes sense. When I took mine In last week they told me it took 3 times for the update to take. I could see someone thinking it took but really didn’t if they didn’t verify. Took a few hours but performance was Definetly noticeable. Though I am kind of curious to try...
Did my upgrade today. The San Diego guys in there were great. It Definetly has more kick now. Almost too much. Don’t have to move my pedal too much to have it take off. I hope it recalibrates my accelerater settings over time because it feels a little out of wack now. But I can adjust to it for now.
So a little background. I ordered my car end of May/early June. Like 3 weeks later they upgraded the models with faster 0-60, free air suspension etc. I didn’t find out they did that till July. I called the local sales guy and inquired about if I was getting the faster times or not, and I was...
I just put on a Opticoat Pro + on my new car after hearing good things. You can think of it as a hard permanent coat of wax. Repels contaminants and makes it easier to clean. Can usually use a spray bottle and wipe it down I'm hoping.
Thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Sean and live in Royal Kunia. Finally took the plunge and got my Model S. I probrably would have been happy getting a model 3, but didn't want to wait 2-3 years. Was looking at at a a Bolt, but well it's pretty ugly and is definetly not a Tesla. Plus the haven't...
Let's be honest, nobody on Oahu with a Tesla "needs a fast charger" Anywhere on the island is accessible roundtrip and then some with our cars. The appeal is a fast, free charge on longer trips. And the HE fast chargers are not as fast, nor are they free. In addition they require. A 500.00...
Would love to see some Westside superchargers. Some good locations:
Koolina resort
Kapolei Commons shopping center
The new Kamakana mall in Ewa
Pearlridge shopping center
Airport
Haleiwa town
Sunset beach area, possibly turtle bay
Dole Plantation?
I've been trying to get i formation but haven't really heard back. What is your usage situation for powerwalls. I'm stuck with an only 2.75 kw hour solar system, and now can't upgrade based on the new rules. But was looking for powerwall to couple with time of use rates to offset my energy usage...
Someone told me they took out the Ala Moana chargers that they used to have, and that they are using the Tesla showroom chargers to fulfill the electric vehicle charger requirement for the state. Which sounds kind of messed up because those are not public use.
