Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
Thank you for the kind words! I'm really going to miss this place. There is nothing like having peace of mind during hurricane season that your energy (and fuel) needs will be met- half of the sate lost power for some period of time after Irma. I'm definitely adding solar/PWs to my next house.
Hello all! For anyone in the Tampa Bay area that might be interested in an affordable home complete with a 10.2 kW Tesla installed solar array and two Powerwalls, my home is now for sale. We added solar and Powerwalls last year and recently remodeled the interior. This house is very...
I apologize if this is being discussed elsewhere (couldn't find a thread), but does anyone know the status of the Tallahassee and Defuniak Springs Superchargers? I don't have access to my car at the moment. Need to run supplies up to Marianna from Tampa now that I-10 is open.
Yup, obsessively checking in my case. For the end date- car still showed “in production” but I assumed the end was close so I asked my DS, who then confirmed the car was done and awaiting transport at the rail yard. Status was updated online a day later. YMMV
I guess I'm in the minority here. With all the talk of an "imminent interior refresh," I asked my wife right before we placed our order if we would be upset if the car was redesigned two weeks after we bought. Both of us agreed that we loved the car as-is and wanted it now. So I was off by...
That was an exact quote, but no way of knowing whether there was any rounding on the other end of the statement. So, plan for the worst and hope for the best! Good luck.
Confirmed w SC I will have the old MCU. New MCU applies to vehicles built three weeks ago from today and forward, as was previously speculated in this thread.
So, I missed it by a hair. On the bright side, scratch is fixed and i can pick up my car tomorrow. Very likely I will care a lot...
Sorry, should have included: 75D, PUP, EAP, black and beautiful.
Hated like hell I couldn't drive off w her. Agree w @GatorGuy on the remedy if I missed this.
VIN: 245,017
Ordered: 1/27
In Production: 2/16 - 2/23
Haven't taken delivery yet due to Tesla fixing a scratch. I have the lighted vanity. Anyone want to guess the over/under that I have the new MCU? I'm guessing I missed it by a hair.
Today is the day for me- 10.2KW solar array + 2 PW2. Signed solar array contract 12/22/17, amended 1/12 to add 2 PW2, installation 3/13-3/14. I'm in Hillsborough.
Yep, lighted vanity is on mine too. Delivery was scheduled for today but I noticed a scratch on the bumper. Will take a few days for paint correction, but I was provided with a sweet Model X 100D loaner in the meantime.
So, a couple of weeks ago my delivery was pushed back to 3/17, then last week i was moved up to 3/9. Just received confirmation that 3/9 is for sure happening, so beyond excited. Gonna be a long couple of days :)
2.25% for up to 72 months through Suncoast Credit Union if you happen to be on the west coast if Florida (0.9 LTV). That rate includes a 0.25% point credit for driving a green car.
We went with the 75D too- lots of road trips but traveling with a two year old so we will be stopping more...
This may be true! FWIW, my status still says In Production even though my DS informed me that the car has been built and is awaiting transport in a rail yard. Production started 2/16.
All great points on the 100D but I went with the 75D even though we plan on taking a bunch of road trips. Besides the $20k (which for me was a limiting factor on its own), we are traveling with a two year old, so driving for 4 hours a stretch is a non-starter.
Plus I doubt she’ll ever see...
She's a beaut! I went with solid black- was a coin toss between solid and obsidian. I too will be taking mine straight to the shop- Suntek front end wrap with full ceramic coating.
Only downside... delivery was pushed back 10 days to 3/17- looks like Tesla is shipping via rail from CA to...
This is the conversation that happens in my head too. It is a very busy place.
I recently dumped my Model 3 reservation in favor of a 75D and couldn't be happier. "Imminent refresh" or not, I like the car just the way it is and want one now.
I’m guessing this is the case. I ordered a solid black 75D w premium black interior with ash, dark headliner, 19” wheels and EAP.
Ordered 1/27
Confirmed 1/30
VIN 1/31
Hello all! Long time lurker, first time poster. Appreciate all of the insight from the TMC community- happily awaiting my M3.
For my question, are those 19" wheels on SN7? Pretty sure I now want this car.
