Charged with a Cybertruck: better looking in person!

Naw, just a stock Model S.

Charged with a Cybertruck: better looking in person!

It dwarfed the Model X on the other side. Looks stunning in person, even though it was really dirty. I’ve heard people who hate Cybertrucks say they’re even uglier in person—this has got to be the most polarizing car ever. I, for one, love the design. It had a dealer plate, so obviously a...

Supercharger - Alameda, CA (LIVE 15 Dec 2018, 12 stalls)

My guess is the Tesla mothership has data showing many Alameda residents using up capacity at other superchargers. I live in Fernside about a mile NE of this location and I know of at least a dozen Tesla owners within a 3 block radius of me and I've seen many others buzzing around this side of...

How to add a HEPA filter to your non-Bioweapon facelift Model S!

My filter arrived from FilterBuy and I installed it today. I got the 14x27.5x1 MERV 13 and it fits like a glove and works well. It took about an hour following the video but I could probably do it in 15 if I had to do it again. In the video, the guy shows the intake and output backwards. He...

    Supercharger experiences of eclipse travelers?

We left the Bay Area for Oregon at 5:30am Saturday morning--two days before the eclipse: 6:15am Vacaville: one stall open, no wait 7:30am Corning: 6th in line. Over 2 hours total 11:00am Mt Shasta: 11 ahead of us on waiting list. Over 5 hours total I was expecting the worst for Sunday, so we...

    Supercharger - Corning (6 V2 stalls)

There are now 2 temp chargers in Corning 8/28 10am. We saw the two temp chargers in Shasta yesterday--not sure if they moved them here or what but a Mercedes cargo van with Tesla logos on the side was pulling out of Corning as we arrived.

Will buying a S or X move you up on the list?

Yes. We reserved two Model 3s on day one. Since then I bought a Model S. The Model 3 reservation in my name is ahead of our other reservation by one month across the board.

Supercharger - Mt. Shasta, CA (111 Morgan Way, 4 V2 stalls)

We left to go eat but there are only a few hanging out near the chargers. The guy from the hotel has everyone's phone numbers on his list so we don't clog up the lot. Just waiting for a phone call now...

Supercharger - Mt. Shasta, CA (111 Morgan Way, 4 V2 stalls)

We are #17 on the waiting list. Luckily a staffer at the Best Western staff is playing traffic cop for the stalls. Rumor has it in the lines that the entire city of Eugene is out of gas so maybe waiting hours for Superchargers isn't so bad after all.

RV TT-30 to EV 14-50 Adapter

You cannot use an RV TT-30 adapter with your Tesla. It is not wired correctly. See discussion here. Also TT-30 is different than NEMA 10-30. Tesla does not sell a TT-30 adapter.

Supercharger - Fremont, CA - 47400 Kato Rd (not completed, V3 test site Mar 2019)

I did my factory tour this morning and the employee I spoke with says the factory superchargers will remain open to the public when Kato Rd opens. (To be taken with a grain of salt.)

TT30 Adapter at EVSEadapters & Home Depot

As long as all the talented developers are focused on car firmware I'll take the buggy website anytime. I will try the service center next time--I've never contacted them since I'm new but I've heard good things.

TT30 Adapter at EVSEadapters & Home Depot

It showed up on the old site, showed up on the new site, then disappeared from the new site (on the dropdown), then reappeared but apparently out of stock because clicking 'add to cart' didn't do a thing, then 'add to cart' worked but the new store's checkout process had a redirect error that...

Model 3 vs. Model S Wars

Competition is always a good thing. But usually it's company A's product vs. company B's product. What could possibly be better than some friendly Tesla vs. Tesla competition? Personally, I had two Model 3s on order from day one. The 3 was going to be my first Tesla. Two months ago I converted...

Borrowing a Tesla Brand NEMA 10-30 Adapter for Road Trip

Is this the one you used? I already ordered a Camco 14-50 receptacle to wire up to a TT-30, but I'd rather make it foolproof and wire the TT-30 to a 14-30.

TT30 Adapter at EVSEadapters & Home Depot

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll go the homemade route with an 18" tail after @qadaemon 's point about the campground box covers being in the way. I can just see myself trying to disassemble a rusty box in a campground if I can't manage to fit an adapter in.

TT30 Adapter at EVSEadapters & Home Depot

In preparation for our first cross-country Model S camping trip, I was about to build a homemade NEMA 14-50 to TT-30 adapter, when I found the 'NEMA 14-50R to TT-30P' product that's apparently Tesla-compatible. I found it at EVSEadapters.com and was surprised to also find it at homedepot.com...

Current Tesla Owner With Two Reservations - 2019 Delivery!?

I also stood in line (Corte Madera) and reserved two Model 3s and already own one Tesla. My estimator shows Nov 2017-Jan 2018 for the second reservation, so something's out of whack with yours. I probably got to the front of the line before you because my first reservation has slightly better...

Lower Charging Rate\Battery Longevity vs Efficiency

As far as efficiency goes, charging at a lower rate is less efficient because there is overhead wattage to run the battery cooler, computer, etc. while charging (approx 500w from what I've read). So the faster you charge, the fewer kWh that goes to this overhead. The only thing I've read about...

    Wiki Model 3 delivery estimator

My estimate: first production Oct-Dec 2017, Standard Dec 2017-Feb 2018, Dual Motor May-Jul 2018. Stood in line on day one in California and a current owner. We have a second model 3 order with everything pushed out a month since I only get one bump-up benefit.

Tesla owners: How strong is regenerative braking?

It took me about a day to get used to feathering the accelerator. Then another day or so of trying not to constantly light up the brake lights by taking my foot off the accelerator too much. I manage to drive almost exclusively without touching the brake, except for the last <5mph when coming to...

New Fremont Delivery Center at 47623 Fremont Blvd

I took delivery there on June 28. A Tesla employee under an umbrella greeted us as we pulled in the lot and gave me directions of where to park and where to go. Total Solar Eclipse - Aug 21, 2017

I was able to get a hotel near Woodburn, OR earlier this year (I think it was the last room available within 100 miles). I'm hoping the Woodburn supercharger won't have a line around the parking lot. I originally planned to do the Madras thing but I listened to a podcast with the Madras event...
