Reserved 4/2 am. Ordered 6/28 Red, AWD, sport wheels, AZ. Changed interior to white as soon as available. No changes since then. Still have the edit button. Called this morning. No VIN yet.

Blue is nice and a smarter choice. If you chip the paint, you can easily repair it yourself. Multi-coat red will be difficult. I don’t event think Tesla sells the chip repair kit.

Don’t pick black if you don’t want to wash it every weekend and polish it twice a year. I am getting rid of my black car for a red Model 3.

I recommend you stick with the AWD. I did it for a few reasons: safety, handling and motor redundancy. If one motor goes down, the other can get you out of trouble. I did not get EAP. Sure it is convinient, but I rather drive and have a fun with the M3. Plus you can always upgrade later...

Just curious. What were your findings in your friend’s RWD? I wouldn’t reject my car if it is something that can be easily replaced later on. Paint defects that cannot be corrected with a detail; well, that is a different story.

Do not install the protection film until the paint is perfect. Any paint defects need to be corrected. You want to see a perfect paint finish every time you wash your car. To me, that is what makes PPF worth it: the fact that your vehicle will look perfect for years to come.

I suggest you install the spoiler first and then apply the ceramic coat. The 3M adhesive needs to stick to a more durable finish. Clear coat has a stronger bond than ceramic. I hand wash my vehicles and still have to reapply ceramic coat every 15 months to keep them protected.

I emailed Tesla about restablishing the supercharger in Benson. The new location in Wilcox is not going to work for most SE Arizonans. Tesla replied and said they were going to look into it. Maybe they will listen if enough people reach out to :)
