Ordered my MS on 5/26 still no VIN assigned. Is this normal?

My soon to be trade-in Model X got rear ended. I‘ve ordered the new Model S and waiting on delivery. My MX will be in the shop for potentially few weeks. Am I right to assume the value Tesla offered me and I accepted prior to the accident is voided? Should I cancel my order?

My 90% is 254 miles. My 100% is 281 miles. I have 42,000 miles on the car. This is a drop from 261 and 290 when I had 17,000 miles on it 18 months ago.

My wife had her MS 100D for 7 weeks now and she turned the smart preconditioning on since her schedule is fixed. The car doesn’t seem to learn her schedule (8-4 weekdays) yet and I wonder if we are missing something here. Thanks in advance.

Vampire drain was never an issue for me and I never paid attention to it especially with 100 kWh battery. The only time I turned the energy saving on was when I left my X at the airport for ten days, and it turned out that I didn’t have to.

My wife’s new Model S doesn’t have the Energy Saving with always connected option. It runs the same software (2018.48.12) as my 2017 Model X which has it. It takes forever to wake up the S from the app whereas it is instant with the X. Is there any work around to keep it connected?

Creep is what came to my mind and I remember playing with it for a while when I first got the car. But I can think of Chill mode, Range mode, FWD height, energy/distance display and Navigate on Autopilot settings to be frequently used and nice to have a shortcut for it.

Agree, Heated seats and steering wheel function should separate from climate.. it should be accessible from the seat icon at the bottom of the screen like in Volvo cars as you can see in the picture.

I was hoping v9.0 will enable us to display remaining range in miles and percentage simultaneously in the IC. We may have to wait for v10 for that one. I guess it is more complicated than I thought.

Completely agree. The automotive companies will be hemorrhaging money if they build both EV and ICE vehicles. This is maybe why Toyota is staying out of the EV market so they don’t have to advertise against their own profitable cars!

Downloaded it today. I didn’t notice much of a difference in the behavior of AP on the freeway, although it navigated a tough intersection in my neighborhood for the first time.

I got 2018.26 half way through a long road trip. I felt noticeable improvement in ACC. Now it is much smoother and confident when it approaches slower traffic. Nag intervals didn’t change but it never bothered me. AS is the same.

Same here. Central display crashes right after opening the window and the show stops. I’m not sure if it happened with 24.1 or the earlier versions since I haven’t tested it in a while.

I used to display range before but now I’m more comfortable with the percentage. It is a personal preference for sure but how about being able to display both at the same time? I hope Tesla would include that with v9.0

I second that. It seems like this alert is designed for the passengers and not for the driver who is activating/deactivating AP.

I'm located in Michigan and yes it is very cold. I haven't experience this problem when it was warm here. In regards to the FWD, I haven't used neither one of them in more than a week or two since it is only me and my wife now.

Actually clean rear camera is not only required for FSD but also for the enhanced autopilot. According to Tesla’s EAP description, the car self-park when near a parking spot and be summoned to and from your garage. Well, the should add weather permitting!
