How is it working so far. 80 bucks is a lot, but if it doesn’t slide around and you can really close the cover over it with the phone and stuff in it, I’d probably go for it. Thanks!
Just got the parchment mats in my car and I think they look great with the tan leather seats. I added a picture with the other three shades as well for your reference.
Although it’s certainly prettier than my wife’s 2011 Acura nav, it’s useless when not in cell service and can get you lost. The Acura always works. By only working sometimes, it makes me nervous all the time.
I am all for EV competition. I do think Tesla needs to step it up in terms of the model 3 backlog, as other car companies are getting in the business and there will soon be direct competition. I would check out other EV sedans that appear to be well backed by the company making them (not a one...
Yes! It was resolved with the third visit to the service station. It turned out to be a defect present since delivery. One of the connectors from the door to the controller had a loose /bent pin. They replaced the back door handle and the front door computer controller before they figured it...
random question. Anyone have any experience with the luxe mats colors? I have the tan leather interior in my S. I want to get a matching tan color mat. Lloyd’s has dark tan, parchment and light tan. Which to choose!?!
Those rims are sick! Aside from the harsher ride, do the 22s rub in the wheel wells with turns? I have 19s, was thinking 21s, but now I’m thinking 22s. Didn’t realize those would fit on the car!
These are awesome videos! Anyone in the Washington area know of an installer I could use? This looks a little over my head for self-install. Thanks guys, keep up the good work!
Yes! And the iPhone does it faster... it’s not just the LTE connection, and I can’t imagine it’s the processing speed. It must be the browser software, which means it can be fixed by an update- Come on Elon!
I think the LTE speed is reserved for the nav maps? But even then, sometimes they load quite slow. I would be happy to just not have a browser, truthfully, than one as woefully inadequate as the one we’ve got.
That is a good point. It’s pretty pathetic that the browser, which is advertised as a full browser, can’t even handle Tesla’s own website. I am a huge proponent of tesla, btw. I just find the browser completely ridiculous.
Ha! He is to busy having campfires on his gigaroof or wearing santa unicorn shirts. I do hope for an update, because its a bit sad to have an unusable function in the car so quickly. It makes me feel like I'm driving any other older model car that doesn't have updates. Old maps, cassette...
The internet browser is embarrassing. I had stopped trying to do anything with it a few months back, and went back to it briefly yesterday and couldn't get anything to load. Does anyone use it for anything regularly?
When I first got my car I had to turn it up to 11, it was cool because I realized it went to 11, but I knew something was wrong. I figured out that the Bluetooth phone I was playing from had the sound turned way down on it, so definitely check your source volume!
Good to know! I’ll definitely look into PDR. My wife didn’t cause the dent, and she is actually quite a lovely person. She just falls into the - it’s a daily driver so it’ll get dents - school of thought... :)
Of course! Thanks. Anyone have real world experience with PDR? I think that back panel is part of the frame and can’t be removed. Isn’t that a prerequisite for pdr?
I thought i likely could, but online i found two cautions. The first is that it is aluminum body so more difficult to work with. The second is that the area of the dent is part of the body, also making it harder to work with. One person suggested 7k to fix like new, but that sounds crazy high...
so painful. Backed it into my kids bike. I’ve seen extreme variations in price for this. Anyone know how much this might cost to fix? Must i take it to Tesla, or can i use a reputable body shop?
Hi All -
I am looking for a trunk mat that is rubber for protection against spills, mud from kids gear, etc. My wife has an acura and the mat in the back has "hinges" that allow for it to fold on itself and allow for the third row to come up. I wonder if there are tesla mats for the trunk...
This all sounds quite complicated but I very much want an autolift kit for my trunk. Do you know if anyone out there does installs for a fee in the DC/mid Atlantic area?
Waited in line on 3/31 with my father in law, then jumped in on a Model S, but held my Model 3 reservation. My wife doesn't think we need two Teslas!. Now I'm slated to have a shot at the first production Model 3 to be delivered October-December 2017. Wondering what to do? Is it possible to...
Thanks! I took it in again today- supposedly a pin was bent in a micro switch. They fixed it and when I came to pick it up, same thing was still happening. The guy took it right back in and bent that pin as straight as possible- then it worked. Hopefully it continues to. The service associate...
i just booked my third appointment for a nagging problem that has been present since I bought the car. The back left passenger door handle intermittently quits working completely- doesn't auto present, doesn't respond to pressure. I have to open the door from the inside. When this happens, the...
I think in defense of the OP- Tesla, nor any car manufacturer, has ever given any advice about how hard one is allowed to push the pedal with their foot. I would think given the high risk associated with this Parts failure, that tesla should not have cut corners and gone with plastic here.
I didn't realize the white seats weren't leather. Anyone have trouble with stains, getting dirty, etc. anyone with kids and white seats?? Also, can someone post a pic of the silver/white combo? That sounds awesome.
Funny, I totally disagree. I didn't order the PUP because I absolutely didn't want the alcantara dash- although I really miss the power lift gate, which is now standard :(. I guess to each his own. Snowflake.
Thanks for all the replies- I think this last post might clinch the answer. The percent battery left is an estimate, and the kWh used is only those used for driving, not HVAC etc. add those two together and the % and kWh used do not always add up as one would expect, but they are usually close...
Why did you get a 90D then? Surely you did a cost-benefit analysis at time of purchase and chose the higher capacity battery? Although I see your point regarding the upgrade. For me it was to alleviate range anxiety, and specifically to have more buffer when driving through the hills of...
Can someone explain this one? I upgraded this past week from the 60 to 75, so I could go on a roadtrip. Got to try out a supercharger for the first time, which was awesome. Given that I charged to 100% and drove for awhile, I dropped down to 55% and was tracking the "since last charged" mileage...
