I agree, I use AP every day to get to work, and to drive between SoCal and Phoenix/Vegas often. Feel more relaxed after a 5hr drive with AP.

AP can be disabled by pressing the Shift lever up.... no need to jerk the wheel... not sure if you were aware of that.

We've had no issues with the update 17.11.3.... Autosteer to 80mph.... use it every day from Temecula to the 91, works great now have adjustable head rest and lumbar support but still no auto dim headlights or rain-sense wipers (not that we need them much here in SoCal)... Much happier with...

First of all who said anything about getting off on fake noise?... or playing someone else's engine sound and "getting off" on it? My reference was to the sound of his car on the track and my agreement hearing engine noise is not a bad thing....as some people think "ICE" vehicles are bad thing...

Nice.... I guess only true car guys get it... must be able to appreciate both. When I drive my off-road car I refuse to pipe music thru the headsets because I like to hear the exhaust and can detect minor changes in the exhaust note if something is going south...

Our S updated to 17.5.28 Friday night... increased autosteer to 50mph and TACC up to 80mph... No car images showing up in adjacent lanes just the radar image. Still no mention of the rain sense wipers or auto dim high beams ?? o_O

Nope, not what they advertised.... it would have to apply on some sort of a go forward basis.. but even then, its common to need a charge within 100 miles

I would think a lot of owners pay attention to charge times. If you have a schedule and can't make it because the charge rates are so slow at certain locations, complaints are certainly valid. At some point inconvenience trumps the coolness of driving a tesla.... I hope they figure this out...

I don't think he was whining.... I have another vehicle with adaptive cruise, rains sense, etc. If those features didn't work it would have gone back in for service. But since his car is a "Tesla" he must not complain.... with exception of the AP, nothing was disclosed that features would not...

That 89,500 was mistaken, it included the FAP... dealer price is 84,500 - 7,500 = 77,000.... I don't want to think about this cause I would be taking the same hit if I had to sell now. I think you will be lucky to get 75,000 and that is hard to swallow if keeping it is not an option... Maybe...

I agree... was a bit disappointed to shell out the cash and not be able to use what I paid for till sometime in the unknown future. Those that have drank the koolaid say you just need to deal with it...because its a Tesla!!! I have received the update and TACC and EAP (up to 45mph) work great...

I set the trip in the Nav and at first it said one stop required, however, while diving it said to slow to 60MPH to reach destination.... Yeah right 60MPH to Vegas??? I've done the trip twice in past two weeks and had to stop at barstow and Primm to SC.... But both times I managed to win 200...

I have an S90D, and have to stop twice between vegas and murrieta,CA (approx. 275 miles).... Rated at 295-300 miles on full charge, never get even close to that.... Also, the SC in Vegas is in a bad location and would not want my wife to go there at night.

I agree.... During test drive not one mention that the features being shown and paid for would not work when delivered. I understand that AP is a huge advancement and may have iterations but the auto high beams and wipers and simple cruise control does not seem to be advanced features on a 100k+...

We used the electronic payment available on " my Tesla" on the web site. We were able to use multiple accounts and did not have to go get bank checks from different banks.... saved a lot of time and was quick and easy It also allowed us to do it the day of delivery without having to wait for...

How do you know if the bug exists in your download? Mine installed last week and with auto steer turned on, when trying to engage AP it says "auto pilot not available while cameras are calibrating" .... there is no status on calibration tho
