Reseat displaced front right parking assist sensor

Follow up... By removing the frunk liner and tub, disconnecting the top of the front quarter panel that runs beneath/around the headlight, and unbolting top of the bumper (where the chrome and T connect in the center), there was enough play to reach in and and fix the sensor without having to...

Reseat displaced front right parking assist sensor

Thank you. That looks quite doable. Do you expect any differences with a newer, non-nosecone front end?

Reseat displaced front right parking assist sensor

Thanks! Unfortunately it is the right front facing sensor.

Reseat displaced front right parking assist sensor

Hello. I have a 2016 S 75, refresh model, with the premium interior package (HEPA filter). My front right parking assist sensor was pulled back into the bumper from a Wild Turkey incident (no bourbon involved, but one wild turkey run over at speed on a rural highway). The sensor still...

    Comprehensive USB Bug List

When I follow my recipe properly, I haven't seen an issue with the v2 tags. I don't remember the exact numbers, but I have around 130 artists, 220 albums, and 2200 songs. The nice thing with the v2 tags is being able to add the image.

    Comprehensive USB Bug List

So, that seems to have been it. It hasn't lost any tags in the past week, which also included a software update to (the hardly euphonious) 2017.28 c5288869

    Comprehensive USB Bug List

Thanks Bert. This comment caused me to go back and reexamine the tags on my files, and I found that the Linux tool I am using (eyeD3) was silently adding the TXXX ID3v2 tag frame (User defined text information frame) to put its own tagging timestamp in. I've removed that, and so far (only for...

    Comprehensive USB Bug List

@BertL, thanks for the response. I'll keep plugging away at it here. Are you saying that you tag with ID3 V1? With V1, only Song Title, Artist, Album, Year, Comment, and Genre were supported. No artwork. But I suspect we are talking about the same thing here, and it is just that I was...

    Comprehensive USB Bug List

Forgot to mention. Late 2016 Model S. Current firmware is 17.26.76, but I've been seeing this on previous versions as well.

    Comprehensive USB Bug List

I am repeatedly seeing, with several different USB devices, the car lose album/artist (but not song) tag information after a day or two. My current in-car collection has 124 artists, 239 albums, and 2,737 songs. The first time a renamed or reorganized usb device is inserted, everything is...

    Multiple USB Devices

Have you used duplicate copies of audio files as a playlist workaround? If so, what kind of conventions have you used (or would recommend) in rewriting the tags of the duplicate files to make them work least annoyingly in the car's UI? I have the following USB SSD device (great write...

Unicode (or other non-ASCII alternative) for naming car?

I would like to name my car with non-ASCII characters (a non-English phrase). I tried Unicode, but it was interpreted literally. Is there any way to do this on an American Model S? Thanks.

    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

Picked up my new MS 75 yesterday at the factory. The tour of the factory was great, and the classroom session was fine. The rest of the delivery process, not so much. Didn't see or hear from my DS at all. The person who walked me to and through the car seemed quite wet behind the ears...
