Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
Update: No longer on market.
Thanks all for the interest. As luck would have it (or not), had a tire blow out on highway and apparently the alignment was all out of whack and tow people recommended switching all tires and I ended up mounting these 22" wheels. I am not a rims guy but will...
Thanks @TeeeeeeDub - totally did not notice. Below is the correct link to US at $6800. Lowing price by 10% to $3875.
Model X 22" Turbine Wheel and Pirelli Scorpion Tire Package
Brand new - just picked up from Burbank Service Center last week and still stored in bag in my Model X. Will post pic later but it is the standard referral award black Model X 22" Onyx Turbine Wheel and Pirelli Scorpion Tire package available on Tesla's site for $8600 + tax.
Have both...
My convo with another member says that these wheel are 8.5” wide with 35 offset with cover means that they will be almost perfectly flush with the fender. In theory Tempest should be the most efficient S wheels to-date.
Same with Long Range Model 3 too except I'd be able to make it to Lone Pine from Pasadena in one shot. Bishop is essential in that if LP is out of commission then that is a needed backup (and vice versa).
This is correct.
On my last two trips from LA to Bishop, the Lone Pine museum was closed but the Supercharger remained open (until my reported outage on August 21).
No activities if I'd recalled at the Bishop SC site.
The map is showing LP as closed for last few days. I visited today and can confirm no charge being delivered to vehicles.
The line is about 10 deep at Inyokern right now. Be advised.
$1315 replaced for mine for one side. This was back in July.
Was at SC in August and I hear someone in background with same issue with Tesla staff explaining how it is a cosmetic issue - which I understand but really should not happen with a $120K vehicle (2017 100D)
Spent Saturday picking up trash along the Tesla chargers. Certainly not people on this forum but if you see people litter, ask them to pick up their trash.
I have sold my Arachnids in this forum. Took the time and effort to pack them etc and then to Fedex Office. Turned out they cannot accept them even with my amazing packaging and had to box them. Oh well. Buyer pays the shipping anyways. My price was I think $300-$400 for four 21” wheels/tires FWIW.
Ooohoo, 4th Tesla owners unite! Scheduled to pick up the Y tomorrow. Not sure what to expect! Talk to a Y owner the other day, lots of gap/alignment issues - no too much though.
Fortunately multiple Tesla service center techs have assured me this is cosmetic only. Still an unfortunate issue that Tesla still has problem with. Hate washing it with the gummy strip and looks bad too. :(
Understand. I shipped my Arachnids boxed cross country (buyer paid) for $300 via the local FedEx. Completely agreed with you it looks and I bet performs well.
Looks fantastic and am seeking to do the same for my Model S. My Model X 20" Slipstream is ready to be unmounted but need to have tires removed, curb rash removed, powdercoated and then purchase staggered tires. Very tempted to purchase yours to save the trouble. Although I recently sold my...
What are the hours in which the lot does not charge for parking? I went Sunday morning at 6 AM and saw a Model S wanting to enter and decided not to. I pulled a ticket to get in but the exit gate was up. The other exit gate had an attendant but not sure if collecting. I drove to top to check...
I was one of the people who reported 20 cars in line at Kettleman when I arrived and 40 when I left. The wait time is not really that bad but the problem is compounded by the fact that - IMHO - because of uncertainty people were charging up more than they needed to get to the next Supercharger...
Congrats @gnguyen ! If not local I will enjoy it on your behalf with @RubberToe - I will buy him a drink regardless for his updating of the Pasadena charger which I want to check out tonight.
During the wait at Kettleman I can feel the stress level of the travelers rising. There were several...
Although the in car NAV says we have enough to go to the next SC but looking at the map they all seem to be fairly full so I am guessing most people are charging so they can get to their destination fastest without charging (in our case LA).
The LR 3 RWD is now charging at 85kw. I just did a...
As of 5 PM the line is 20+ cars deep. There is one single queue and a person directing charging traffic at the end so there is no choice of v2 vs v3.
Even at 5% SOC I am only getting about 45 kw which is about 200 miles per hour for my LR RWD Model 3.
It is impressive that this place could be...
Just cosmetic eh? I was definitely not going to to spend $2500 to replace something that is cosmetic but was thinking about ways to install or find something that does rubber trim so it would both prevent rain intrusion and not look ghetto. However, if just cosmetic I may just trim them with...
