Experiences getting Tesla to resolve autopilot / EAP issues?

Oh man- I thought I was VERY clear about that when I ordered the car!!

Experiences getting Tesla to resolve autopilot / EAP issues?

Yeah- exact same experience here. I had them look at it at the SC. They reset AP such that it would re-calibrate in case that was the issue. After it recalibrated, the behavior is about the same. I too am chalking it up to preferring the left side of the lane. Still feels strange to me.

Experiences getting Tesla to resolve autopilot / EAP issues?

I have this issue too, so I'm curious about what was going on with yours. With mine, not only does it always jerk to the right, but it *stays* to the right. That is, I feel like I'm not centered in the lane, but instead riding the right lane marker. The car shows itself centered in the lane...

    FSD upgrade purchase option removed?

Disappeared for me too. Still appears to be an option on the new car configurator on Tesla.com, and still says "$4000 after delivery".

    Calibration Needed: AP2 or Driver?

What needs calibrating? My car or me? I picked up my MS 90D on Friday. Absolutely love it in a thousand ways. One thing that hasn't gone perfectly so far is my experience with Autopilot. I've read extensively on here (have to do something for a few months while you're waiting for delivery...

    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

Anyone else for this Friday, 5/26 in Cleveland? Related question: with 3 days left until delivery, is it normal to become completely useless at everything in life besides planning your delivery? Asking for a friend...

    Fatal Flaw in AP2 Design

Please reconsider the title of this thread. Is it a design/implementation/software flaw? Probably, from the way you describe it. As a developer, I'm sure you understand the difference between that and a "fatal" flaw. A fatal flaw would be one from which there is no way to recover. For example...

    Electrician Plymouth, MI area

My install is scheduled for this Friday. I've been quoted ~$300 for running the wire from the basement (where my panel is) to the garage (about a 75ft run). Because my panel only had 100A total service, I also need it upgraded to accommodate the new 50A circuit breaker. That upgrade is an...

Newbie Question--Upgrading AP2/AP2 Enhanced Autopilot to Full Self Driving

You maybe be totally aware of this already, but feel like someone should say it out loud to someone new doing some Tesla shopping: As of right this moment, there are no cars with Full Self Driving capability. At this point in time, there is literally no difference between a car with Full Self...

Question for car guys/gals, why did you dump your ICE vehicle for a Tesla?

I had a BMW 550 GT that I very much liked, but ordered a Model S for all the same reasons as folks above. Couldn't be more excited, as it's still a couple of weeks until my delivery. To enhance the appreciation of the Model S, I sold the nice BMW today and for the few weeks until delivery, will...

Interesting experience today at Tesla Service Center..

Nothing about the OP's problem indicates it's related to the fact that the key fob doesn't require button-pushing. He could have precisely this problem on a fob that requires button pushing. If we're going to advocate a lower-tech solution that's not susceptible to this kind of failure, then...

    2012 model S P85+ for PARTS

Have a look at P85+ badge, specifically how the + aligns to the 5. Pretty sure Tesla doesn't do it that way. Not sure what this means, other than that the badge was goofed with after production. In light of the model year question though, it might shed some light.

    Tesla MS 90D Price Decrease

I had my price reduced to match the new lower price on the 90D. Mine had been ordered and confirmed, but not yet built or delivered. Called my OA who assured my the price would be lowered and reflected in My Tesla, which it was a couple of days later. I'd check there first if you haven't...

Price Drop: Impact on existing order?

Confirmed: the spec on My Tesla has been updated. It looks the same as the original configuration, except there's a new line item for "Showroom Discount (3,500)", which effectively adjusts the price to what it would be if I had ordered the same car today. Have to say, I'm impressed that Tesla...

Price Drop: Impact on existing order?

Good news (so far): Spoke with my OA who advises me that they've been given guidance that the lower prices will be applied to existing orders (note that I didn't request to change configuration at all, and car hasn't entered production, so YMMV). OA said to expect to see the lower base price of...

    Glass roof or Sunroof... question..

Prior to today (when the body color roof was standard), there was a $500 difference between the glass room and the sunroof. With today's configurator changes (glass roof now standard), the price difference between all glass and sunroof is now $2,000. Curious whether this changes anyone's...

Price Drop: Impact on existing order?

I have an order in for June delivery. Overnight, the price of my configuration in the design studio went down by $3,500. The price spec in My Tesla is unchanged, however. I'm wondering what the odds are that I'll be able to pay the reduced price for the car. Some specifics: 90D Glass roof...

Help - Ordered today but didn't get premium package. Is it worth it?

Does anyone know if this PUP With/Without leather discussion impacts the white interiors? My understanding is that the white isn't leather- so does that mean that PUP doesn't provide upgrades to the steering wheel, armrests, etc.?

    Ground Stud Nut over torqued

The title of this thread lead me to believe this was a problem best resolved by a urologist. Really though, incredibly impressive to see the diagnostic and remediation skills that exist among Tesla owners.

    Glass roof or Sunroof... question..

I placed my order this week with the glass roof with exactly the same logic. I've had sunroofs for more like 20 years and probably average 2-3x a year actually opening them. Just never really occurs to me. Have you taken delivery yet? Any regrets? My only fear is that, even knowing I never...

    Slacker Radio Premium experience

Audio quality is certainly going to be subjective in the sense that high quality to one person might be "meh" quality to another. That said, if the *same* person listens to it at a lower bitrate and then at a higher bitrate, that person could certainly offer an observation as to whether or not...

    Slacker Radio Premium experience

Thanks for this- I've been debating whether I'd get a premium account, so this is helpful. One area of debate here regarding Premium has been the audio quality. There seems to be consensus that if you have Slacker Premium (or maybe premium and the upgraded sound package), that when you sign-in...

Autopilot Pricing Before/After Delivery- 3 Prices

I'm curious about what you had tried to change on your order. I understand there's a finite window when it relates to hardware (e.g., if you elect different seats or a different roof). Considering ordering EAP doesn't at all change the hardware that's assembled at the factory (the car always...

Autopilot Pricing Before/After Delivery- 3 Prices

Planning my order for next week with a June delivery, I reached out to my Tesla OA for some clarification on how the time at which you order Autopilot affects price. Like many here, I had some reservations about AP2 parity and was wondering how large of a window I could really build for myself...

    Tesla Write-Off Advice

Think of it this way: If you hadn't had an accident at all and someone approached you with this car and asked if you'd like to buy it for 15k and roll the dice on the repair costs, salvage title, etc., is it something you would have seriously considered? If you're routinely cruising used car...

    New Feature... powered doors?

Another BMW feature that I didn't expect to like but LOVE are soft-close doors. Not quite auto-close as we're discussing here. But, you close the door gently to where there's just contact, and the car then takes over and closes the rest. It isn't any more convenient than closing the door...
